Aruba is a beautiful island with warm ocean breezes. It used to have 40,000 stray animals, making up one-third of the population. However, thanks to Zoe Burkle and her Luna Foundation, the situation has improved. Zoe is strong-willed and positive, and her foundation has been successful. She tells great stories and has a witty approach. This episode is enjoyable and might make you want to visit Aruba. Three, two, one. I'm a beach bum. I love the ocean and everything that's associated with it. So when I think about the Caribbean, I think about islands, the people there and the warm, warm ocean breezes. So when I hear about Aruba, my thoughts immediately go to the beach. Did you know that this beautiful, relatively small island just off the coast of Venezuela, it's a country of about 100,000 people and that it once had over 40,000 stray animals. That's right, 40,000 roaming the island. Now think about that for just a second, 100,000 people and 40,000 animals. Basically one-third of the island's population were stray animals. Today the situation is significantly different, partly because of our guest, Zoe Burkle. She's the founder of the Luna Foundation. Not only does she just think outside of the box, she's extremely strong-willed and has an amazing positive outlook. And because of these traits, the Luna Foundation has been really, really successful. I'm proud to tell you, she's my new friend. And I can't wait for you to hear her approach. She's witty, she tells a great story, and I know you're all going to love her the way I do. This is a really fun one and you're really going to enjoy it. I bet you, you're probably going to want to book a trip there.
