Elijah Whistled Frank Renfrow Copyright 1991. The Yiddish legend of the Prophet Elijah who came to the homes of the poor disguised as a beggar and brought them luck if they would feed him. Elijah was both generous but also not happy if he received a poor welcome. I performed this at the Cincinnati Jewish Folk Festival where I actually followed Mary Travers of Peter, Paul and Mary in the lineup.
