Frances M. A. Roe

Frances M. A. Roe, originally known as Frances Marie Antoinette Mack, was a writer who chronicled her experiences while living in Colorado Territory with her husband, Fayette Washington Roe. Fayette was a Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army and was stationed at Fort Lyon in 1871. Frances joined her husband on this assignment and documented her life during this period in a memoir. She passed away on May 6, 1920.
