Your words can limit your ministry as a prophet.
The speaker addresses someone named Ajax and mentions that God is calling them to be a prophet. They emphasize the importance of being careful with their words and avoiding gossip, lies, and slander, as these can limit their ability to prophesy. They also mention that being a prophet involves skillfully delivering God's word to others. The speaker advises Ajax to concentrate on cultivating their gift and to ask God for it, while being mindful of speaking truth and avoiding gossip, as this can hinder the power of the Holy Spirit in their ministry. Hey Ajax, I don't know your real name so that's what I'm going to call you is Ajax, I hope you don't mind. Hey, I'm looking over your messages to me this evening and the stuff we've discussed and here's a couple things that really stick out to me, looking at it with a fresh mind. First of all, God's calling you to be a prophet and that's a high calling but it's one that takes very, you have to take a lot of care in order to do that. It's a very high calling, just as high as a pastor or any other calling like evangelist or anything like that. The prophets usually work hand in hand with the other ministries and it is a, you can be a prophet to people or to a church and in that case you're going to skillfully deliver the word of God to the recipient. So what's involved in that is your tongue. Now the issues you're facing are gossip. Anything you do to pollute your tongue is going to limit your ability to prophesy. So for instance, if you are involved with gossip, if you're involved with lies or slander or anything else, that poisons the well that you're going to be using as your ministry. That cannot fully work through a tongue that is not submitted and disciplined to him. I know because he's taking me through that path right now and on an ongoing basis. So that's something you're going to want to concentrate as you grow into that gift. He will give you that gift if you ask for it. Because you ask for it, he will give it to you. So be careful not to speak words that are not true or words that are vain or gossipy. That will destroy the Holy Spirit's power in your ministry and it will also give Satan a foothold. So that's the first thing that I wanted to bring to your attention.
