"The Ferrar Fenton Bible, also known as the Holy Bible in Modern English, is an early translation of the Bible into modern English. It was started in 1853 by Ferrar Fenton, a London businessman, and was published in its entirety in 1903. Fenton dedicated around fifty years to this translation, with the aim of understanding and presenting the original meaning of the Bible's writers. He had extensive knowledge of ancient languages such as Sanskrit, Greek, Hebrew, and Latin, and used various ancient manuscripts and resources, including the Septuagint and Masoretic texts, to aid in his translation. Fenton's work was highly regarded, and his translation is considered an important contribution to the understanding of the Bible in English."
