This is the introduction to a new podcast called R&J Vocab. The hosts, Jocelyn, Evan, and Juliana, will discuss Romeo and Juliet vocabulary and expand your vocabulary. They introduce words like grudge, impulsive, tragic, liable, exile, and ignorance, giving examples from the play. The podcast ends with a thank you and a promise for the next episode. Hey guys, welcome to the new R&J Vocab Podcast. We are starting this podcast to get a better understanding of the Romeo and Juliet vocabulary, and also to expand your vocabulary. My name is Jocelyn, and I will be the main host today. The others will now get a chance to introduce themselves. And I'm Evan, here on our podcast. Lastly, I'm Juliana, and I will be here to give some examples of sentences to get a better understanding. Now, let's jump into the tips for those who are new. Okay, our first word today is grudge. Yes, it rhymes with fudge. Our next word, what we will be working on today, is impulsive. Romeo made some impulsive decisions which led to some punishment for his actions. Andrea made some impulsive decisions which led to her getting grounded. Tragic will be our third word. A very good way to describe Romeo and Juliet is the play being very tragic. The play ends with death, or you can compare the word tragic to the Titanic, which was very tragic. Our next word is liable. The way you can use this word is putting the blame on someone. Romeo and Juliet were liable for their own deaths. A more modern way to use liable is, Juliet was liable for her death as an innocent. Our fifth word will be exile. The word exile means being forced to leave your home country. Exile is like another word for banishment. Romeo was exiled to a local town after he murdered Tybalt. Or my mom exiled him from the house because that's what her mom did. Our last word will be ignorance. The word ignorance means to lack knowledge or unknown. An example of ignorance is the five-letter word in Romeo, Tybalt, that ends in 666. Another way ignorance is described is making assumptions or a statement about someone without being educated. Okay, that's all for today. Thank you so much for joining our podcast. I hope you guys like our podcast. See you guys next time.
