They conclude by mentioning the benefits of social media for communication and accessing information. Hello everyone, we are Angelu, Álvaro, Sollarse, Mireia and me, Aaron. Today we are going to talk about different points related on social media. On one hand, we will talk about the analysis of the impact of social media on the self-esteem and body image of others. Yes, this point is very interesting because sometimes you can be harassed on social networks by people who only want to destroy your self-esteem. I know it is not easy to say, but in such situations the best thing you should do would be to block that profile and not affect you anymore because the one who has to love himself first is you. It is true that these kinds of comments can cause insecurities and it is difficult to overcome them. Yes, I think that too. It is not the same as seeing a person who is beautiful without clothes, but you don't know what he or she is like behind a screen. Yes, I also think this is a very interesting topic, the impact of social media on teenagers, since there can be many problems from bullying you with them to making you insecure about yourself. I also agree with Álvaro. I would go as far as to say that it not only affects the social media life of those who suffer, it can also affect that person's personal life. They may come to see their life as over, suffer continuous depression and have a mentality that refuses to move on with their life. I believe that truth is a mechanism to people who in chains of cyberbullying want to protect their insecurities from what others might criticize them or make feel worse. That's why I believe that people in chains of cyberbullying to only protect themselves from the critiquing of others. Well, I think it is more important to talk about the issue of false publication on social media, because people upload things that are not real and they upload a story having a coffee and they may be eating a burger and a coke. That is why I think it is important to talk about this topic. I agree with Angelu because there are too many people who want to be someone they are not. I can understand that a small percentage of people in the world like to look like something else in their photos and I know it is not good to do that. But sometimes you have to understand that person and protect them because thanks to those acts done by that person they could be alone because of their life and it is very embarrassing. Yes, there are so many people that pretend to be a person that they don't are. That type of people just can harm other people. Yes, because there are more people that have this type of problem than other ones. It is important to distinguish between real publication and fake publication because fake publication can confuse with real ones. I would like to add that these hoaxes can be dangerous. Not in the sense that you waste time reading them, but they can be dangerous because they can transmit viruses or cyber attacks to the platform while you are reading the hoax. Finally, another interesting point to note is how social media should be used in a positive way. There are too many ways to use social media. The worst thing about having a new phone and registering on social media is that when you first start on these applications you don't know if you are on a safe website or if you are on the verge of a scam. There are several ways to recognize if a page is safe. For example, if you look at the search engine above you will see the URL of the page. For us to be able to confirm the URL on a security site, it must start with HTTPS. Of course, there are other methods to recognize if you are on a security site. It is also true that social networks allow us to communicate well with our environment and this allows you to increase your accessibility and nobody can take that away from you. Also, you have to be careful with fake profiles. I think that the schools have to explain how to use social media in a positive way and the teams can compare more how to use social media and the cyberbullying on the Facebook page can be eliminated. I think that the parents and their kids have to teach to be respectful with all the people that are on social media, to explain to them that most of the things are fake. The social media has a lot of battery but you can use it in a better way. You can chat with friends, learn about different topics or permit you to inform about current news. I really like that people use social networks for what they are ready for, to communicate, to find out about global news and so on, not to post hoaxes, hoaxes and scams. And this is the end of our broadcast of today. Thanks for listening. Transcribed by https://otter.ai
