Today's podcast we are going to talk about education and careers in the future. For this purpose, I have invited three experts who will talk to us about how the use of technology may disperse education in the future. So let's welcome Laura, Xiomara and Alex. Hello everybody. I think I speak for all of us when I say that we are delighted to be here today. Thank you very much for inviting us. It's a great honor. I'm really happy that you are here with me today. Please tell me and the listeners why you have come. We are here to tell you about the importance of technologies we have in the future. And why do you think technology will be so important in the future? Well, let me explain to you. Technology has been a fundamental role in our society, both in the workplace and in the study environment. But that's good, isn't it? It's not always good. And why not? Because there are several reasons why technology can be detrimental to humanity. Nowadays, you can search for everything on the Internet. And that's not good. Many things are good, but they are wrong. In fact, let me give you an example. Imagine students have homework and use technology to get answers so they don't have to think for themselves. That would be a problem, wouldn't it? I agree with you. The new generations have to learn how to use technology. Well, in that case, I agree with you. But as long as it's used in the right way. I agree with my colleagues. It's true that the new generations have to use technology. But they shouldn't not take advantage of it either. Several studies show that there are inherent risks in the misuse of digital devices among children and adolescents. These risks may involve problems in the child's community development, health and psychosocial development or safety issues. If that is true, why do they keep replacing school textbooks with computers? Because, as we have said before, technology is still a fundamental role in our society. Thank you very much, girls. You have made me see technology in a different way. But I still have a question. I have heard that many people will lose their jobs in the future due to technology. Is that true? Well, it's probably. New technologies can be very harmful. I don't get it. How can technology make someone lose their job? Because there are already robots and machines that can make phones play. For example, factory personnel. In many factories, employees have been replaced by machines. Wow, that fact freaked me out a bit. But I'm relieved to know that robots don't have feelings and can have a great podcast like mine because they have no humor. You don't have to worry. No robot can replace you.
