The host, Eli Moniz, welcomes the co-host, Omar Jimenez, to their podcast, The EZ Podcast. They discuss the purpose of the podcast, which is to have fun and talk about random topics. They also invite listeners to send in questions and suggest better names for the podcast. They then discuss their top five favorite anime, with Bleach being their shared number one, followed by Jojutsu Kaisen, Naruto, Mob Psycho, and Fairy Tail for Eli, and Death Note, Naruto, Devilman Crybaby, and Dragon Ball for Omar. They also talk about their favorite characters and elements of these anime. Welcome everybody, this is your host Eli Moniz and welcome to my podcast, The EZ Podcast. Today, I will be bringing a guest, our co-host of mine, Omar Jimenez. He'll introduce himself here shortly, but I'll tell you a little bit about The EZ Podcast. Basically, what we do is we basically talk about anything random, which is, that's the fun part. We can talk about whatever, or if you guys have questions eventually, if you guys want to send us answers, we will try our best to answer them in a, I guess, professional way. But, this podcast is meant for us to have fun. Hope you guys enjoy it, have fun as well watching us, and then, yeah. Or, if you guys want to, you guys can also suggest better names. I mean, I thought it was simple, but, you know, it's our first podcast, so, yeah, we'll see how it goes. Now, we have Omar with us. Omar, glad to have you on the podcast. Great to do more business, so, yeah, introduce yourself. Thank you, thank you so much, Eli, for inviting me. I am very grateful and honored to be here in this first podcast. Hello, everybody. Glad to have you. Thank you. My name is Omar Jimenez. Again, you know, he already said it, but, yeah. Yeah, well, that's Omar Jimenez for you, and, yeah, once again, glad to have you here. And, yeah, so, our first subject would be, I guess, you may be familiar with anime, so, anime will be our subject. Yeah, I love anime. Yeah, me too. So, name your, I guess, your top five anime, and then, I'll name mine, and then, we start asking each other questions why, we think it's, why you should watch it or why it's your top five, if that makes sense. Yeah, I hear you. Yeah. Okay, so, my top five anime, favorite anime, number one, gotta go with Bleach. It was Naruto back then. Bleach is my favorite, too. Yeah. It is pretty good, but, you know, everyone has their opinion, but, anyways, go ahead, proceed. My bad. No, you're good. Bleach, number one. Second, I would say, Jojutsu Kaisen. Oh, that's a good one. Yeah, I know it's recent anime, but, you know. It's still pretty good. I haven't watched season two, but, I have been reading the anime. Oh, not the anime, though. The manga. The manga, yeah. The manga's good. I read the manga online. I mean, I did order books. Oh. Yeah, so. You gotta read it before I spoil it, dude. But, yeah. Speaking of Naruto, that was pretty good. Yeah. Hey, you can't go wrong with that ringtone, dude. That ringtone's badass. Hell yeah. As soon as you hear that, you're like, oh, it's the Katsuki. You already know. You've done four. Yeah. Well, I mean, I kind of got a little bit ahead, but, you know, anyways, go ahead, finish your list. So good. Yeah, the third one, Naruto, of course, you know, with my ringtone. I mean, dude, that ringtone is, or let's say that theme song. Yeah. Bro, that's the best I've heard. Naruto had some good-ass quotes. Yeah, they do. Good intros and outros, too. Yeah. Freaking fire, honestly. I agree. Yeah. Sorry about that, guys. You're good. I mean, it's our first podcast. Yeah. We'll improve for later on, you know, so. That's right. My fourth one, I would say, Mob Psycho. I never got into it, but. Yeah. It's really good and funny. I'm not going to lie. I'm not going to lie. It looks kind of goofy. Just because of his haircut. It does look. He has Wayne's haircut from Naruto to the bowl haircut. But once you get, you'll get used to it when you, like, you know, watch a few episodes. I don't know. It sounds like catnots. All right. Fifth one, I'm going to say with Fairy Tail. It's really good. I like it. That's my top five anime right there. I never got into Fairy Tail. I've seen it, but I just, I never really watched it. It's kind of like someone I know told me about Seven Deadly Sins. I watched it, but it was just kind of boring. It's not like, well, here in a minute, I'll get to my top five. But, like, for real, my favorite one is Bleach. Always been Bleach. I remember as a kid, I'd watch it. I remember it would come up on Adult Swim and I'd watch it. I mean, you're not supposed to watch Adult Swim as a kid, but I didn't care. I did anyways. But, Bleach, I mean, from the first episode, I believe, where Ichigo gets his hollow, not his hollow, the Soul Reaper powers. I think it's the first episode, I think. I think it is. Yeah, it's been a while. I'm already at the new one, but he got his first powers already in action right there. The Seven Deadly Sins took a little while. Yeah. The Deadly Sins. I mean, it's good, but, like, it's just, I don't know. The newer ones, like, aren't as bad. I haven't seen the newer ones. I haven't seen them. The animation is different, I think. But, yeah, speaking of it, so, yeah, Bleach, I mean, I was already talking about it. Bleach is my number one favorite anime. Hell yeah. My second would be, would be, damn. You know, I want to say Death Note is pretty damn good. Oh, Death Note. Death Note. Actually, I really like Death Note. I only saw, like, four episodes. Oh, really? It's good. I like it. It's on Netflix. You can watch the whole thing. It's all on there, too. But it's pretty good, though. So, Death Note is number two. Number three would be Naruto. My favorite Akatsuki, which we'll get into that later. Well, I'll tell you right now. I mean, you already said Naruto, too. I mean, you already know. Yeah. My favorite Akatsuki member is Saozori. He's cool. Hell yeah. He is pretty cool. And then my fourth would be Devilman Crybaby. I mean, I know a lot of people haven't seen it. But if you guys watch it, just make sure no one's around you. No, not, I mean, yeah, I have that. But, like, because it's very gory. I mean, I don't want, like, my little sister, baby sister, to see me watching it, like, gory. I mean, I have my own room, obviously. I mean, just, yeah, make sure no one's around you. It's that bad. And that's actually one of the animes where the bad guy wins, which is, I love anime that do that. I kind of, don't get me wrong, I like anime, but I kind of hate seeing the same thing over and over. Like, the good guys win, or the good guys win, or the good guys have this typical superpower. But, yeah, they don't use it for evil. I'm like, dude, yeah, that's not right. But for me, I'm the type, I'm like, dude, just use it. I want anime to be different where, speaking of anime, hey, if you guys know anyone that does voice acting, hey, I got a good voice. I'd love to be on the voice acting, but I'd rather play a villain. But, anyways, I'm getting sidetracked, dude. Yeah, go ahead. Devilman Crybaby is the first anime I've seen where the bad guy wins. Oh, for real? Yeah, but I won't get into that, too. Sorry, I ask big questions, but, yeah, that's the first anime I've seen that the bad guy actually wins, which I enjoy. Or, like, you know what I was saying earlier, the hero has this super dark power, but they don't use it. They just fight it, and they turn grim. I'm like, dude, I don't know, just because of me, I'd use that evil power. I'd go to the evil side. I don't know. Me, too. I feel like it would be cool. I feel like it would be cool being a villain, you know. Yeah. But, yeah, that's the first one where the bad guy wins, which is cool. And they got better drip. That's true. They do, yeah. Especially from Bleach, I think his name is pronounced Ukuloa? The Espada dude, the number four. Oh, that guy? He fought Bleach. He fought Ichigo as he was, his hair was black. He had, like, he was ranked number four for the Espada. Oh, that guy, okay. And he fought Ichigo as he was the Vastal Lord with the horns. Yeah, that's true. From Episode of the Badass. That shit was clean. See, he looked hella fire. Same with Ichigo as he was Vastal Lord. See, like that. Like, Ichigo, he was strong. But, yeah, later on, like I read the manga, his final form is badass. With the half horn, dude. And his roar form. Yeah, yeah. That was hella badass. But, yeah, like I was saying, for me, I would go to the, there's another anime I watch, too. It's called Berserk of Gluttony. Gluttony. Gluttony. I think, yeah. So, basically, this sword gives him dark power. He uses his dark power. He lets it consume him. So, that's basically what it's all about. It's about him killing people while they're meant to be killed. He's not killing civilians. He's killing people who are meant to be killed. I mean, not saying that's okay. For everyone out there, not saying it's okay to kill someone just for a reason. Not cool, man. Not cool. Just for anime perspective, he was killing people who needed to be killed, I guess. If that makes sense. I guess it's a touchy subject. But I'm not trying to say it's okay to kill. Just anime, for everyone out there. Don't kill him, guys. Come on. For anyone out there. It's just for the anime perspective. But he lets his dark power, this sword, keep consuming him. As he's doing that, he gets stronger and stronger. See, I like stuff like that. Like, he lets the evil side keep controlling him. He's like, oh, this power feels good. I want to keep going. Oh, yeah. But it was good. But I was actually like, wow, dude. He actually lets the power consume him. He actually gets to the evil side. Okay, okay. There's another one I watched, too. But let me name the last one. I keep getting sidetracked because of this a lot. But the fifth one. So, I said fourth was Demon Man Devilman Crybaby. The fifth one would be Dragon Ball. Oh, Dragon Ball. Yeah. I made the superhero movie. It was badass. When Gohan went Gohan Beast. Gohan has been my favorite Dragon Ball since I was little. I've always played as him. But seeing his final form, I'm like, yo, he's actually strong. Yeah. What I'm really anticipating to see is Vegeta become Ultra Ego. Bro. I would love to see that animated. You read the manga? No. Oh, I just spoiled it. Gosh, dude, look at you. Jeez. Yeah. You should have warned me. I said earlier, I'm like, hey, spoiler, you haven't seen these. But yeah, so those are my top five. So, yeah, about your top five. Explain to me, at least you can go each one or just one of them. Okay. Explain to me why you think the people who watch this should watch it or why it's so good. I mean, then I'll do my next. All right. I'll try to do my best here because I'm not really good at explaining. It's fine. I'm not either. But hey, I mean, this is what the podcast is for. Yeah. Speak whatever. The Bleach is my favorite because I like all of the characters, how they're designed, their outfits, really good. And like their fighting scenes. Oh, my God. Dude, I love to have Ichigo's final, his true Bankai sword, that big ass thing. It looks like a big ass cleaver. And then his Bankai one, the normal one, the one that looks like a katana. Yeah. That Bankai would be so cool to have, though. It would be cool. So, yeah, like the fighting scenes in Bleach, it's really good. I like it. Yeah, me too. And it's like the animation, like the art, I like it. And some comedy, too, you know, like, of course, every anime probably does, too. Yeah. But I don't know. I don't need to explain it, but Bleach is really good. Yeah. Just watch it. Yeah. I think Bleach is pretty good, too. Uh-huh. But, yeah, but anyway, my bad. Go ahead. Or actually, do you want to say all five or do you want to take turns explaining it? Let me try and do all five. Okay, that works. Yeah, go ahead. And number two, Jujutsu Kaisen. That one's pretty good, actually. Sukuna, dude, he's pretty damn strong. He's very strong, yeah. Jujutsu Kaisen is kind of like the Bleach, too. I like the art style, the animation of it. It's really good. Jujutsu Kaisen is more about wizards, huh? Because they use a lot of hands. I mean, Bleach has that, too. But they're mainly about, aren't they technically like wizards in a way? When I see them, they look like wizards, kind of. They're not with a stupid wand like Harry Potter. I don't freaking know. Yeah, something like that, yeah. Yeah, Jujutsu Kaisen is really good. I'm really into the manga, too. So, not on the Internet, but I buy the physical books for it. I like their fighting, too, and their powers. Every time when they say their main, I think it's pretty cool. And I love all the characters in the anime, too. Who's your favorite one? Maki. Maki? Oh, he's cool. Obviously. I know he's a bad guy. I like Sukuna. I mean, all the Itadoris that he has pronounced. Is that his name? Itadori? Itadori, yeah. I like him, but what's his name? The guy who has to cover his mouth. He speaks super loud. Something like that. When he speaks too much, he throws up blood. He's cool. I like him. I mean, if I said Dojo, that's like glazing. Whatever that means. My brother said glazing. I'm like, bro, I have a different meaning for that. I think it's dumb. That doesn't sound right, saying, dude, stop glazing. I'm like, bro, you're done. Get off the channel. But yeah, dude, I like to see. That's a pretty good damn anime. Yeah, I agree. Maki, I'd say is my top number one favorite. No, not because she's a girl, okay? I like girls. Quick captain, we all know why. I mean, no. That's not why. Her fighting skills is really, really good. Very awesome to watch. And like her, I don't want to say spoilers, but like her new look is really cool, too. I really like her new look. Of course you would. I've seen it, too, you sick bastard. Anyways. Was that your second one? That's my second one. Naruto. Let's get to Naruto. Oh, yeah, I got a lot for Naruto, too. Oh, yeah. Lots of memories. For Naruto, the villains, they look really badass. Especially the Akatsuki capes, dude. Oh, dude. I know, like, I dress as Akatsuki. I think it's cool how they paint their nails. I mean, I've done it, too. I mean, I'm not going to lie. I kind of hate people getting mad when they see painted nails. I'm like, dude, I'm doing this for a reason. I think it looks cool. But the painted nails they did was awesome. The rings, the clothes were badass. I used to like the nail painting, but I feel like the rappers kind of ruined it for me. Yeah, some did, some didn't. But yeah, the Akatsuki's were badass. Naruto has really good life quotes. Really good damn life quotes. Good outros, good intros. I would play a few intros, outros, but I don't want to get copyrighted. But if you guys want to, just look up Naruto intros, outros, Shippuden, normal Naruto. Yeah, Naruto and Naruto Shippuden. Yeah, I see. The main good ones. Yeah, Naruto's good. The manga's freaking fire, though. Oh, yeah. The anime was getting good, but man, they had so much, what's it called, filler episodes. Yeah. There was a few episodes that actually mattered because they were in the manga, but dude, Naruto now in the manga, it's freaking strong. It's getting good. Read it, guys, read it. When you get a chance, yeah, read it. Yeah. But yeah, Naruto's pretty damn good. I actually, I always recommend people. I'm like, dude. But people tell me, they're like, dude, I'm barely watching Naruto. I'm like, what? Barely? Wow, bro. Like, dude. You've done a while, though. I understand that people are getting into anime, but I'm like, dude, you're barely watching anime. Naruto, I watched that a fat minute ago, like a long time ago. Hell, yeah. Bleach, I watched that. Remember that one time I told you I caught up to Bleach and I had to wait two years until they released it? I'm like, dude, why'd it take you so long, bro? I don't know. And then there's a lot I can go with Naruto, but. Yeah. But dude, speaking of Naruto, I'd love to have Kakashi as my sensei. Kakashi? Yeah, dude, he's a sick sensei. Like, he's. He is pretty badass. Yeah, especially with the Sharingan. I know spoilers if you haven't watched Naruto. I mean, you guys are missing out, but. Kakashi is a badass sensei. I admit, having Sasuke as a sensei, because it's funny. Because it started from Jiraiya. Jiraiya taught Nagato, what's her name, Konan, and then Yahiko. He taught him. Jiraiya taught them. And then Jiraiya taught Minato. And then he taught Kakashi, Obito, Karin. So basically what Kakashi taught Naruto is from his dad, Minato. Which is badass, because you basically learn from Naruto's dad. And then Kakashi spread it to Naruto, Sasuke. And then, what's her name, the Yusuke swan. Everyone talks about. Sakura. Sakura. And Naruto, she's a little bit better. Yeah. But still, the Shippuden. I'm going to catch up with you one day. That's true, she did say that. But then I also like too about Naruto was the fact that, about your questions too. But I like the fact about Naruto is that after they grew up, Naruto and Jiraiya, Sasuke went with Uruchimaru. Uruchimaru is a badass. Think about it, Uruchimaru, he's a pretty, he's a smart and strong freaking villain. Actually, he's more like an anti-villain now. Right now, yeah. But he's a pretty damn strong villain because he knew reanimation, he knew how to do it. He taught Sasuke the. The one lightning. Yeah, the lightning from the sky, whatever it's called. Yeah, I don't remember what it's called, but yeah. And then Jiraiya basically, not Jiraiya, Uruchimaru taught him so if he dies, he just comes back alive. What the hell is it called? I don't remember. Not reanimation. Reanimation is when you. Bring out the dead. Yeah, I mean they're dead, but they're still alive in a way. But Uruchimaru learned that. I remember from later on when they're fighting in the war, I remember the Seiko Kage, he's like, damn, you learned all my stuff right away. I'm like, dude, Uruchimaru's pretty damn strong and Sasuke learned from that. And Sakura learned from, what's her name? Lady Tanade. Yeah, I mean, I won't go far with that. I mean, I mean she, I mean, anyways, skipping that part. She's getting side-tracked. But yeah, I thought that was cool how in the story they managed to bring the three and separate them to their own master in a way. Thinking about it, I'll start with Kakashi. He taught them as they're young. As they got older, they learned skills from him. I mean, they brought the skills from him. Yeah. And then from Jiraiya. I remember after Naruto trained with Jiraiya, he still trained with Kakashi again. Remember during the waterfalls? Remember how he was trying to learn to do their wind shuriken? Yeah. He's learning from Kakashi how to do whatever element or something like that. Hell yeah. That was pretty cool. So I really liked how Naruto did that in general. He's like, oh no, you're going to go to your own sensei now, which is cool. But also, from Kakashi, back to what I was saying, it'd be badass to have Kakashi because he's also the copy ninja. Yes, right. He knew a lot of jutsus because of the Sharingan. He was badass. We would like to go more detailed down, but... Yeah, that would take a long time. That's a lot to cover. Yeah. And I have a really bad memory, so... There's a lot of anime to watch, so yeah. But anyways, you did your second? Or your third one? That was my third one. Oh yeah, you're right, you're right. I'm over-intruding. The fourth one was The Mob Psycho. When I first watched, when I first saw it, I was like, I wasn't like, really had like, thought about, I hadn't really thought about watching it or cared about watching it because I thought the animation was pretty stupid. But every time I see it, see it pass me, every time I see it, I'm like, you know what, I'm gonna give it a chance. I enjoyed it, you know, it's very funny. And, I know the animation's kind of weird, but I kind of like how it is. Yeah, it seems kind of weird, but honestly, I never really got into it, but from what you're saying, it seems like, yeah, I was like, you know, I'll give it a try. You know, just because like, like that bowl haircut, I think that just looks wack. When I see you with that haircut, I'm like, yo, I mean, for me, I got curly hair, I can't pull that off. Some haircuts, I look good, but I think the bowl haircut just looks wack. I'm like, yo, this is wack, this shit is wack as hell. But, yeah, so, Masako, I really don't have really much to ask because I've never seen it. I like how whenever he gets like, bullied or when he gets like, sees somebody in trouble, so, I like when there's like this, I guess like a, I'm gonna call it like a radar, like his percentage of him, you know. Oh, I've seen that. It was like from 0, 50, 100%. Yeah. So, I give him like a secret, like a, is that basically like his nine tails form, I guess, in a way? I guess so, yeah. Like something in him that just like comes out. Pause, that sounds weird, pause. Pause, pause. Pause. Pause. Pause. Pause. Pause. Pause. Pause. Pause. Pause. Pause. Pause. Pause. Pause. Pause. Pause.
