Edward Thomas

Philip Edward Thomas was a renowned writer and poet from Wales. Though he is known as a war poet, his poems don't explicitly discuss his wartime experiences. Thomas began writing poetry in 1914, after having already established himself as a skilled writer. He joined the British Army in 1915 to fight in the First World War and tragically lost his life in the Battle of Arras in 1917, shortly after arriving in France.
