The speaker discusses certain characteristics that make someone "ghetto," regardless of their success, wealth, or education. They give examples of these characteristics, such as adding chili and lime to cup noodles or turning jail food into elaborate meals. They also mention how some people use words out of context, like a Mexican man who mistakenly referred to a trench as a white guy's name. Now, I like to identify certain characteristics that people have, that no matter how successful you are, how wealthy you are, how educated you are, how whatever you think you are, if you have these characteristics, you are what I call ghetto. You know, there are certain characteristics that you could just take the boy off the hood, but you can't take the hood off the homeboy, because they can't take the ghetto out of the motherfucking business man, or whatever you want to call yourself, like I said. If you have some of these characteristics, you are what I consider to be ghetto. Like, if you made a cup of noodles, I have to bet you're ghetto. But if you make it a fancy cup of noodles, that makes you even more ghetto. For instance, I add chile and limon, tapatio and limon, to my cup of noodles, so I'm feeling really fancy and ghetto. All right, it's more oregano. Now, the fools in jail, they're the ultimate ghetto, because they turn that into a spread or a seven-course meal that they share amongst each other, so that's even more ghetto. We'll get into that another time. I love when I hear Mexican fools, or Hispanics just like myself, use words that they hear somewhere or whatnot, and they use them, and they use them out of context, like way off, way off. Like this Mexican dude I heard the other day was telling his co-workers and people that he needed to dig a trench. I said, what? He said, si, wey, por ahi van a hacer una trench, para poner agua ahi en la zacate. So they got to dig a hole in the grass so they can put a trench. He said, homie, it's not trench. He goes, yeah, I have to dig a trench. I'm like, it's trench. Trench is a white guy's name. I said, yeah, I heard my boss call his son Trench, so I thought trench was the same as trench. I'm like, yeah, I heard my boss call his son Trench, so I thought trench was the same
