The speaker addresses the criticism of Harbor Freight tools on social media. They argue that while expensive tools may be necessary in a professional setting, for recreational activities like off-roading, cheaper tools like those from Harbor Freight are sufficient. The speaker shares personal experiences of using Harbor Freight tools and emphasizes that they are practical and cost-effective. They encourage not to waste money on expensive tools unless it is for professional use and to support individuals, like a 16-year-old rebuilding a vehicle with Harbor Freight tools. The message concludes with a holiday greeting. All right, everybody Merry Christmas. First of all, I hope everybody's having a great Christmas I just wanted to go on a quick little tangent about tools that I've been seeing a lot on Facebook a lot on Instagram where people are trash-talking Trash-talking Harbor Freight for being bad tools, and these are a lot of self proclaimed Mechanics now, I know a lot of amazing mechanics and they own Snap-on, you know Mac Matco Cornwell SK's they own all the big money tools well You know That's fine for a shop. That's fine for your garage But if you come out with us to the desert whether it be Octio whether it be Glamis Where it be Sugarloaf, I mean the list goes on even even big there. You don't want to bring your shiny super cool $250 snap-on ratchet and lose it in the dunes you want Harbor Freight and Who's gonna cry more if I lose my Harbor Freight ratchet, I'm out like I don't know eight bucks I think if I lose the ten millimeter You know, I'm out three bucks. It's not a big deal. So don't poo-poo things. Like what are you gonna do? When it comes that point in time where you're out wheeling you're all you're out off-roading you're going to the desert and You need to build your little box for everything. Well, don't use the except the expensive stuff. Don't do it Buddy good buddy of mine said what he did to build his boonie box as Everything you did to build your rig every tool that you used you throw it in a toolbox a little hand-carried toolbox and That's what you need Do I have a 36? millimeter Socket for replacing hubs on my Jeep. Yeah. Yeah, I do. Do I carry it with me? Not really like if I'm going on an extended trip Yeah, I'll keep it with me, but you don't need snap-on, you know Pittsburgh or the the new Harbor Freight line Icon those are just fine, even though icons pretty pricey for being Harbor Freight but You don't need snap-on you don't need Matco you don't need any of that stuff just you know Bring with you what gets you through the trip You know When we did the Mojave Trail we had plenty of breakdowns in the first I think five miles and Everybody's tools that were cheap, you know, they worked they got us up. They they got us through Mojave So yeah, just don't don't waste your money on that unless you're doing it for a living And you want to keep it nice and locked up in your fancy snap-on toolbox at the garage that you work at Or the mechanic shop or whatever? Term you want to use for it but stop trash-talking stuff, but if there's some 16 year old kid and he's rebuilding say of 88 XJ which is a Renix which is Admittedly trash, but if he can do it with Harbor Freight tools in His driveway and he can replace the motor replace transmission Pull the transfer case whatever he needs to do and he can do with those cheap tools Why you trash-talking him don't trash-talk him embrace him embrace it with that. I'm out and again Have a Merry Christmas
