"The Bear Family at Home - And How the Circus Came to Visit Them" by Curtis D. Wilbur is a charming story about a little cub bear who gets caught in a trap and ends up being taken to a circus on a train. Living in the circus for a long time, the cub bear becomes a popular attraction alongside lions, tigers, leopards, elephants, camels, and other animals. Each night, the animals are carefully loaded onto wagons and transported on flat-cars of a train to different towns where they captivate audiences. The cub bear experiences many incredible and unusual things during his time in the circus and while traveling on trains, including a journey across the ocean on a ship. The first part of the story focuses on how the little bear manages to escape from the circus and return to the woods once again.
