NASA warns of possible communication problems on Earth due to a solar storm. There have been explosions in the star's plasma that could affect satellites and cause power grid failures. NASA has also discovered a chemical formula to find inhabited planets and an enormous plume of water from Enceladus icy shell. A man with minimal movement in his hands was able to manipulate prosthetic arms with his brain. Several Antarctic glaciers are experiencing ice loss due to warm ocean temperatures. NASA has found 17 planets with liquid water under ice surfaces. Good morning from Cosmic Architecture High School Radio. Welcome to our Science Corner, space created by students of 2nd ESO in Physics and Chemistry. Here there are the news of December 2023. NASA warns of possible communications problems after cannibalistic solar storm hits Earth. NASA has warned that there has been a powerful solar flare that might affect communications on Earth's radio blackouts. Another power grid failure could occur due to impact of the Aerospace Agency's solar plasma, cannibal storm. There have been explosions in the star's ejected solar plasma that travels with the solar winds at a speed of 800 km per second and that impacts the Earth. Several satellites could be affected by this phenomenon. And it is expected that more intense northern lights will occur than usual. In effect, according to NASA, they are not harmful to humans. This news is from the newspaper El Mundo. It was written 1st of December, 2023. NASA discovers the chemical formula to find inhabited planets. They must meet two requirements. Be in a habitable zone with respect to geysers and don't have carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and have an ocean lion. The absence of dioxide in the chemistry of this atmosphere, rather than its presence, has become the clue to find liquid water. Science News. 2nd of January, 2024. It has been detected an enormous plume of water from Enceladus icy shell. This includes hydrogen cyanide, a compound toxic for humans. But Jonah Peter, biophysicist of Harvard University, notes it is also a key for building complex compounds like sugar or nucleobases, which in turn are precursors for proteins like DNA. For more than 30 years after an accident as a denier, Robert Badzimulski suffered from minimal movement and sensation on his hands and fingers. But last month he was able to manipulate two prosthetic arms with his brain to fit himself. It's very good, said Badzimulski, whose sense of accomplishment was investigable after using his thoughts to command dark robotic arms to cut him and give him a piece of cake. This news is from Science News on 18th of December, 2023. Several Antarctic glaciers are having a dramatic acceleration of ice loss. Some of them are Heterica Glacier, Green Glacier and Crane Glacier. They are located at the tip of the Antarctic Peninsula. This was provoked by the unusual warm temperatures of the ocean, which caused the ice to recede. This allowed big waves to hit a section of coast that is normally protected. The Heterica Glacier was the most affected and it has lost 25 km of ice. A research of the NASA says that there are other 17 planets out of the solar system that have liquid water under the ice of the surface. This happens in moons of Jupiter and Saturn. They haven't water in the surface, but they have water inside. The NASA usually search planets that can have liquid water in the surface, but there are other planets that can have water under a cape of ice. The NASA investigated about the planets and they could have life. Science Daily, 13th of December, 2023. Lunar nanotechnology published on January 3rd, 2024, a finding on glass nanofibers. Demonstrating the pathogenic potential of inelect fibers nanomaterials that is connected to their geometric characteristics and size, since the macrophages of the alveolar tissue are incapable of eliminating such large nanobodies. The study is carried out in vitro with nanochemical sensors, demonstrating that when faced with nanofibers of more than 15 microns in length, they are very damaging to the alveolar walls. An experiment in rats showed that regular annihilation of nanomaterials causes lung lesions that can degenerate into a fiber. This discovery raises doubts about the use of nanofibers in construction, which until now have been considered less harmful than the previous one. However, it has not been proven to have fewer health risks. A recent study reveals mRNA vaccines may include in use an extensive protein due to a cell-by-cell RNA modification strategy. This framework system may not compromise COVID-19 vaccine safety, with potential benefits in immune response during training. The Cambridge team proposed an algorithm to prevent fringes by avoiding slippery covers or flaring asymptotics. Science Daily, December 21, 2023 An artificial intelligence has autonomously learned to replace winning chemical reactions. The artificial intelligence did it in a few minutes, and it did it perfect at the first time. This is the first time that an organic intelligence plant designed and did this reaction. They reveal Antarctica's lowest history in the octopus DNA, news of December 21, 2023. About 120,000 years ago, there was a warm period in which the Earth warmed 0.5 degrees warmer than it does today. The collapse of the Antarctic ice sheet is thought to have produced this warm period, according to a study conduced with the DNA of an octopus fish that lives on the Antarctic coast. It turns out that during this period, the oceans surrounding Antarctica were connected because of the melting, and that's why octopus species were genetically similar until the ice formed again. Hi, I'm going to talk about the new post in fishpoint.org, the 6th of January of 2024, that says the most massive neutron stars probably have cores of quark matter. The text explores the structure of neutron stars and the possibility that they can contain quark nuclei instead of just neutrons. It mentions that due to strong forces, quarks remain bound together inside protons and neutrons. A recent study proposed that inside neutron stars, neutrons could loosen up, allowing quarks to flow together forming a soup of quarks. Thanks for watching!
