Highest finish there and the highest finish overall at the weekend, Darragh Wallace on 150. Well done to him. And we'll keep those results rolling in now over the next couple of weeks. As we move to Equestrian and Clifton Community School, girls competed in the Connacht Interschools competition held in Killannan yesterday. They were down with their coaches Tara Lally and Olivia Staunton. The team finished 3rd overall. Well done to them. Cerys May O'Toole was 1st in the 90cm class, this was a show jumping competition. And Cerys May O'Toole, Clodagh O'Toole and Avian Joyce, they finished 3rd in the team event overall and Avian Joyce was 6th in the 60cm class. So well done there to the Clifton Community School's Equestrian team. Badminton next and Claddagh O'Toole's intermediate B team had 2 matches, their 2 opening matches recently. They beat Galway Lawn B5-3, men's doubles there, Justin Currian and Brian Maximo defeated Josh and Jamie Price, men's 22-20, 21-19. Mary Needham and Angie Williams lost 13-21 and 8-21 to Carolyn Moore and Kisha Wong. In the singles, Daniel Price-William defeated Rikishai Nayak 21-16, 21-18. Jane Joyce however lost out to Marie Kennelly 12-21, 8-21 in the lady singles. And then in the mixed doubles, Claddagh's off names being called out here first, Daniel Price-Williams and Angie Williams won their match 21-16, 22-20 against Ricolette Nuja and Sarah Ryan. In the second mix there, Josh Marens-Price and Jane Joyce also won their match 21-19, 13-21, 21-19 in the third. And it was a clean sweep in the mixed doubles for Claddagh's off the net fixture with Jamie Marens-Price and Mary Needham defeating Noel Cunningham and Kisha Wong 21-18, 21-15. A 4-3 win overall on the night for Claddagh and they get the bonus points, so 5 league points there, a 5-3 result. It was a different story however against GLTCA, Claddagh losing out 5-2 and GLTCTA there getting the bonus point. In the mixed doubles, Josh Marens-Price and Jamie Marens-Price defeated Howlin and Abinit Shasitav 26-24, 21-15. In the ladies doubles, Jane Joyce and Angie Williams lost out to Sofia Batalova and Quinn Liu 9-21, 13-21. Daniel Price-Williams maintained his good form in the singles by defeating Vinkatesh Sivatson 21-16, 20-22, 21-17 in the third. In the ladies singles, Isabel Pugolite lost out to Mashal Kan 3-21, 5-21. Then in the mixed, first mix, Josh Marens-Price and Jane Joyce lost their match 16-21, 14-21 as did Daniel Price-Williams and Angie also lost 15-21, 19-21 in straight sets. And they lost the third mix as well, that was Jamie Marens-Price and Isabel Pugolite, they lost out there to Sofia Batalova and Howlin 15-21, 16-21, so completely different stories there in the mixed. The original fixture won all three but in the second fixture lost all three and it really often comes down to the mixed in these badminton league matches. All eyes are on Galway Lawn next Sunday now for one of the biggest badminton events of the year, that's the GCBA doubles championships from junior C level all the way up to senior and there'll be a number of Claddagh Duff and Letterfrack players entering and trying their hand at those, within those championship levels next Sunday and we'll bring you those results next week. Summer next, Adult Division 2, West Coast United 2, Kilshandy United 2 and West Coast remain in midtable after that home draw. It's Division 2 Cup next, they're in the preliminary quarter final next Saturday at home to Merlin Woods at 2pm, that's a big competition now for West Coast and if they win they'll progress into the quarter final so the best of luck to them in that. West Coast are under 15s playing at Division 1 level, have maintained their 100% form, 6 wins out of 6, 18 points, they're 5 points clear at the top after an emphatic 4-1 away victory over Athenry B. West Coast are under 13s who play at Division 3 level, had a 6-3 away victory against Loughquare B and that leaves them lying in third place on 13 points, just 3 behind Calga B. Figures for the week ahead, that aforementioned cup match is on but prior to that at 12.30 next Saturday in the Under-14 Championship, West Coast United are playing Nathanael Carragh B and then West Coast girls are in doubleheader action next Sunday at 12.00 noon, Under-12 Division 2 girls against Mary Ormore B, followed by the Under-14 Division 1 girls against Wynmore at 2pm. Golf next, starting with last Friday's Open Stableford, Men's Division 1, first there was Gareth O'Grady on 38 points, second Colin Hamburger on 36 points, the gross went to Eanna Melville on 31 points gross, at Division 2 level it was Don Hock to come out on top there on 44 points, in second place was Gilles Nicasay on 41 points, the ladies winner was Maureen Brennan on 39 points, Bernadette Coslow was runner-up on 39 points, the gross went to Grainne O'Malley on 21 points, with Olivia Byrne there on 36 points in third place, and yesterday it was a stroke competition and the men's overall winner was Connor Stapleton on 69 net, at Division 1 level it was first John G Sweeney 70 net, at Division 2 level it was Tony Lyons 70 net, gross yellow tee Mark O'Malley 78 gross, gross green tee Finlay Ewell 75 gross, ladies overall winner Debbie Ruddy 73 net, second Brida Conniff 75 net, gross went to Tina O'Neill 94 gross, Kieran Mannion was third on 76, and the winner of the ladies 9 hole competition was Nessa Joyce on 9 points. Rugby review round up next, starting with the Connemara adult team and they're playing in the J1 league and at the moment they are in 4th place overall, 3 behind Dunmore, and a big eagerly anticipated game going ahead on Sunday December 1st at 2.30pm in Dunmore. At under 18.5 level Connemara Uptoward in Poole, playing at Division 1 level there lost their 3 matches Carrick on Shannon, Sligo and Castlebar, so a very tough level there to be playing in for that team. The under 16 Connemara Uptoward team are playing at Division 2 level in Poole A and they're 2nd presently behind Corinthians after all matches played and that should see them through to a knockout semi-final against Poole B when there's Dunmore, I'm just surmising that now I can't confirm it but that's what I would take from the Poole situation there. The under 15 boys also playing at Division 2 level and they're 3rd in Poole A behind Carrib and Clare Morris, so just losing out there and progressing to knockout stages. The under 14s also playing at Division 2 level and they are presently 3rd, there's 7 teams in the Poole there, they're 4 points behind Clare Morris and Carrib and I think that they're just going to lose out there on finishing in the top 2 but they've had a good campaign. Moving on to schools Rugby and Clifton Community School boys playing at Junior B level, defeated, lost out there to St Enders 41-29, also lost out to Rice College 64-24. They have a match this coming Wednesday and they're at home in the Monastery Field there against Clare Galway College and that's a kick off there at 12.30. It's a different story for the Senior B girls however who have won their opening 2 fixtures, they're playing in Poole A. They defeated Clare Galway College 39-0 and they also defeated Presentation College Hedford 21-12 and the 4th of December coming, it's a Wednesday, they'll be at home to Califanctus College from Ornmore. So they're going well and may well progress to knockout phase. And I finish tonight with GEA starting the 3rd level hurling Senior League Division 3, ATU Connemara 1-13, TUS Midlands 2-20. So that's the end of the round robin campaign there for ATU Connemara, losing all their matches but that's Division 3 Senior League in various cities is a high level and I'm sure it will stand them in good stead now as they prepare for Championship in February. Different story for the footballers but they are playing at Division 4 level in their Senior League and they had a 2-12 to 14 points victory over NUIG there last Monday night and that sees them progress to the knockout phase and they have a huge match in the Connacht Centre of Excellence this coming Thursday at 8pm where they take on the University of Limerick, the best of luck to them. At 2nd level, secondary schools, Clifton Community School playing in the Senior E Championship and they have their opening match of their campaign against from Invern. The other teams in that, Colosta Acne from Galway City and St Bridges from Lewisburg. So the best of luck to them in their upcoming campaign. And we sign off tonight with just a mention of the Rindale G Annual Social which was by all accounts a very enjoyable affair held in Rindale House Hotel last night and Rindale were remembering the 1984 team that defeated on Caruwa by 2-5 to 1-7 in the Westbourne Junior A League Final. They had a trilogy with Caruwa that year, defeating them also by a point in the Centenary Cup. Went on to reach the Centenary Cup Final that year and lost by 2-5 to 2-4 in a replay against Tumistar. It was a heartbreaking defeat at the time but a very proud achievement to reach that county final. And then in the Championship it was Caruwa's turn to come out by one point and that started a journey for Caruwa which within a couple of years brought them all the way to Senior level. And the headlines this evening, Ireland beating 5-0 by England at Wembley and in the rugby Ireland looking to beat Argentina 13 points to 10 and Can-amara well beaten by Victor Rangers after a good first half display. And in golf Rory McIlroy came out on top in the DP World Tour Championship and that's his sixth race on a trot to Dubai so congratulations to him. Coming up I'm going to speak to Bernard Lee on the game and next week's games in the premiership. I hope to speak to Tony Kine and PJ Heffernan. So have online now Bernard Lee. Welcome Bernard. Good evening Viv. Now I'm just going to touch on a little bit of other news. Just recently the Can-amara Darts Federation was formed and this is promoting the darts in the Can-amara region. Now it has obviously fell away in recent years. Back in the day it was very very big and popular and you know it was never a sort of thing you'd imagine would fall away. But look the times change and I suppose even coming into the COVID times there that affected a lot of sports. But there's still some good people involved in that and they've obviously got together. So they've started matches I think at various venues and I think they started there in the last week. So I think it's getting off to a good start. But just some of the I think the venues now I think in Wednesday nights would be Kewls and Ballyconnealy. Down south Can-amara Thursday nights I think there's Gaffers and Bailadangan. On Friday nights then which was always a very traditional night for it I think you have McGrath's Bar in Clifton hosting matches, Levy's in Ardmore and Molly's Bar in Letter Freck as well. So good venues. There seems to be a lot of work gone into the pubs and the venues and the dartboards and the scoring and all that. So all the people behind it there wish them well on that. And it will be an added addition I suppose to get out and either play darts or see them in action at those local venues. So we wish the organisers the best with that. Great. I didn't get any results as such, but we hope we will get that over the course of time and hopefully the radio we can link in there with the results and coverage and that. I suppose it's an interesting time of year now. We'll be coming up. Darts is very topical this time of year in the run into Christmas. Now Luke Littler had a very good win. He got one of his first major wins there. Now we know he's the young 17-year-old who came to prominence last year reaching the World Final in the darts and just losing out to Luke Humphreys. But he had a great victory in the Grand Slam of darts with some great matches in it there and he had an unbelievable victory in the final there. He won 16-3. So each leg counts 16-3 over a gentleman by the name of Martin Lukman who's a long-time player but a bit of a journeyman. But there was one unbelievable semi-final there between Littler and Gary Anderson. I think it went 16-15, but it came from well down one of the all-time great darts matches. But Littler, as I said, he's going to be one of the favourites. I think he's only ranked 5 in the world as it stands even after this victory. He's had a lot of victories already. But as I said, between the local darts and the darts on the TV coming into Christmas, into New Year, the World Championships, it will be a very exciting time. So we'll see what happens with that. And I'll just move on then to a little bit on the GAA, just to say best wishes to Carol Rowe there. They're going to be contesting the Connacht Junior Final there against Ballymote of Sligo there. That will be in the last weekend of November and December there. So they've come through. They met Karne Cashel in the Westport Final there, so they've gone a long way after that. They were a very good team. They got out of Galway and have continued on a good, successful route through Connacht. So that will be an interesting one in the Junior Final there. And Galway always do well on the Club Finals. Interesting to note, St. Michael's there, they were the other Galway team. They lost out in the Intermediate Semi-Final there to Crossmalina. So Crossmalina will play Alphen in the Intermediate Connacht Final. And that will be interesting as well. Now, the Senior Final will be interesting to note as well. We know that Porrick Pearce has defeated Cara Finn there a couple of weeks ago. And they're the Roscommon champions, so they will be hoping to go further in that. Now they're going to be up against a team from Sligo. Kulera, Strandhill have made it through to the Connacht Senior Championship Final there against Porrick Pearce's. And I think the last Sligo team to win it was in 1983. So it's an amazing feat for them to get through. They met Béla Ná, Stephen Icke in the Semi-Finals. So it will be interesting. Porrick Pearce is from Roscommon against Kulera, Strandhill of Sligo in the Connacht Senior Championship Football Final there coming up in the next week or so. And just another touch on the GAA. A little bit on the Ladies All-Star Awards. Good success for Galway. They had four All-Star winners. They had Nicola Ward, who got the Player of the Year as well, voted by her fellow players. And she's a very strong stalwart there with Kilkaren Clumburn. And then there was Kate Geraghty from Tuam Cartoon who got an All-Star. Elva Deverens, who was originally from Mike Holland, now playing with Kilmarnock Crokes. And Olivia Diddaly from Kilkaren Clumburn. So the four of them got the All-Star Awards and Nicola Ward got Player of the Year. She's a gritty halfback with the Kilkaren Clumburn team. And Kilkaren Clumburn are into the All-Ireland Club Semi-Final. They're the holders at the minute. They will be up against a team from Armagh, Clann Éireann, in their Semi-Final. So lots happening there on the GAA front. And well done to all of the ladies there who got the awards representing Galway well. And good luck to Kilkaren Clumburn in their quest to win back-to-back club titles. Now also I'll just quickly mention there on the GAA, just something that might have meant something to you, I suppose, back in the day, was the passing of Noel Tierney last week. And of course he would have been a big stalwart there back in the day. A bit before my time, but I know in his generation he was a big colossus in Galway football. He was a great full-back. You loved watching him going up for a high ball, you know, and coming down. You know, at that time when everyone was in the square. There was rule of bull when the ball came in. He'd have got a lot of marks if they were in back in his day. But I think he won his battle fair and square and then dealt with it after that. But there were some nice pictures in the papers there recently, some great photos of him. And as you said, he looked like he was jumping 10 feet in the air and going up and coming down with the ball. But a big stalwart in Galway football. So I suppose time passes and the great stalwarts pass as well. So he got a lot of tributes there from past and present players as well. So that was sad. But again, he had a good career. OK, we'd better move on to the soccer. Bad beatings, wasn't it? Even after a great first half, but you just fell to pieces when there was a sending off. Yeah, no, it was unfortunate. Good performance. And they certainly kept England at bay. There wasn't much threat. England had a lot of possession and they looked interesting enough. Because it wasn't their England's first team. Now you'd have to say, I'm not so sure if England's first team with the ones that were out injured or couldn't make the squad. I'm not sure if they'd have won 5-0 either. Sometimes, you know, a lot of stars, they mightn't always perform. So Lee Carsley obviously got a good result there against Greece on the Thursday or Friday night of the weekend. And they backed it up with the 5-0 win. So, you know, they've qualified and I think they're going to move up into the first tier of this league. Yeah. So they avoided a play-off and all of that. But as I said, you couldn't see 5-0 at the half-time score, you know. No. And the penalty, I scored. There was no need for him to give away that penalty, I thought to myself. He scaled. He rushed in. Well, yes. But I suppose what happens is there's an instinct there to always, you know, put your foot in for the ball as a defender. Now Bellingham, I think he was taken down first. So he's a very clever player. He's a very, you know, quick player. And the problem wasn't giving away the penalty and the booking. It was the silly yellow card he gave away earlier in a ridiculous sort of knock-the-ball instance where, I don't know, he got booked. So this is Scales who plays with Celtic, I think. And if he just came back to haunt them, you know, you could have put up with the penalty and going 1-0 down. But to go down to 10 men was shocking. And the modern game, 10 players, you know, with the possession game, it seems that back in the day, I don't know if you remember, the 10 men very often would win against the 11 men. There was something about it. It doesn't happen so much now with the way tactics and football has gone. And there seems to be a way. So the 11 versus 10 seems to come out on top. And they certainly did in this situation. And with the backs-to-the-wall, you know, situation then once they went, having gone the goal down. And they were only giving a certain amount of threat. You know, you had Ferguson there, then Ferguson, you know, he made one or two good moves. And Festi-Abbaselli, he looked quite strong as well in moving forward. At the back, obviously, you have Kelleher, so they're solid there. But creatively, you know, they weren't too bad. Malumby came in and there was, you know, there was some decent good-hearted play, but without ever really threatening the English goal. But it wasn't so much that they lost. It was the heavy scoreline and the fact that, you know, 5-0. I think we would have put up a 2-0 or something of that nature because they lost 2-0 in the home venue there a few weeks ago. And that would have been acceptable, but it's a bit hard on them, 5-0, because they just ran out of steam. They made a few mistakes as well, basic errors. And England looked like they went for the juggler as well. They didn't let up. They kept going forward. They used new players, of course, and they were keen to show their worth. Ireland were very unlucky in the sense that I think that was a penalty in the first half. Well, there's no doubt about it. When Ferguson was going through and you had Gahee, the defender there, he pulled him down both from outside. And he kept contact with the jersey for, you know, quite a bit and then pulled him to the ground. Like, it makes a mockery of the VAR. It's either there or it's not. And you cannot say, you know, nothing to see here when there was plenty to see here. Now, I wouldn't say it was a great goal-scoring opportunity, but that's beside the point. It was a foul inside the box, a pull to the ground. And I think it would be good for football going forward if these types of fouls are penalised with penalties because there's an awful lot of pulling that does go on. And while the ball was kind of going away from the goal, technically, by the law book, it was a penalty. And that would certainly... Now, it still had to be scored, both of the wads. You know, if Ireland would have won the lot, it's a totally different game. But I think even the manager at the end said, it's crazy to be looking back on an incident like that when you lose 5-0. I think he was more disappointed with the effect that maybe the sending off and going behind had and the way they played. So I think he's a pragmatic manager, the new manager, and he's not going to be putting up with excuses. And I think that's refreshing. We know a lot of managers would do. So he's going to try and get them together, regroup. And in fairness, on the first-half display, there's something to work with there. And, you know, there might be something there to get the fans behind the team going forward and put that behind them. And England, in fairness to Carthy, you know, you have to say from England, they lost the trick there. Maybe Carthy would be the proper man to take the team forward rather than Thomas Tuchel. But we'll see how it goes. They have an abundance of riches there. And, you know, certainly when you see what Ireland have to offer, both as a starting XI and on the bench, you know, you see that the goals in class there. But having said that, a good first-half display. And there is maybe something to work with there for the squad going forward. Yeah. In the new year now again, they'll be playing, isn't that the situation? Yeah, I think it's a playoff. Obviously, they finished third in their group there. So they were ahead of England. And I think there's going to be a draw. I'm not sure when the final list of teams is that they will meet. Possibly, I think as well, there was maybe Northern Ireland in there as a potential opponent for them for the playoff matches. But either way, it'll be interesting. And as I said, there'll be a chance for the team to regroup over the winter. And, you know, I think there is something there. And I think looking back on it, anybody who's seen the first half would say the 5-0 scoreline was a little bit of a false result. But really, the lack of discipline, of scales, and maybe one or two of the other pairs to pick up yellow cards were ridiculous sort of, you know, not even tackles, but I'm saying maybe just throwing the ball away or stopping the opposition restarting. So the referee was a bit card happy as well. He wasn't slow to brandish the yellow card and the red. Maybe he was right. But I think, yeah, it'll be interesting. So hopefully they'll start on a new era maybe of, you know, success. As I said, they had the win against Finland and, you know, some other half-decent results and performances. It's not always about the results, but the performance. So I think, again, a lot of people will be impressed by the first half performance there. No doubt. Now, Northern Ireland, they are top of their group. They have ten pints. Yeah, they've gone through a kind of an up-and-down period as well. But, again, they showed even with limited resources what can be, you know, achieved themselves. And I suppose Scotland and Wales, we've seen it now in recent years, all the home nation countries, should we say, you know, having a certain amount of success, you know, maybe even getting to finals like European Championships or World Cups. But, yeah, I mean, it'd certainly be interesting if any time these teams meet, if Ireland were to meet Northern Ireland or any of those. They'd be great fixtures with a lot at stake. But, yeah, so it's nice to see them involved. I mean, this new, you know, Europa League type, you know, the Nations League, as we call it, you know, it's taken over there in the last few years and people are still getting used to it and the format of it. But it's probably better than the friendly system where they had friendly matches and that. At least there's a kind of a competitive structure to it now, so it takes a bit of getting used to. But it's probably a decent enough model to follow. Right. OK, we move on to the Premiership. Of course, Liverpool are five pints ahead of Man City and Chelsea, then, have 19 points. We'll do the Saturday ones first. Bournemouth are playing Brighton. Yeah. So, obviously, they're quite... Bournemouth are nicely placed there, I think, in 12th position. And we mentioned before about Brighton. You know, they pick up some great results. And even though Bournemouth are at home and they had a recent victory against Man City. I'm going to go with a one-all draw on that and I think both might cancel out. I think, look, either team, they're well able to get results. Home advantage. Normally, I'd say Brighton are slightly the better football team, but maybe home advantage might even itself out. But certainly Brighton, a team punching above their weight. So I go 1-1 with that one. 1-1, right. Arsenal versus Nottingham Forest. Arsenal have gone through a bit of a lull and they'll be disappointed because they had great opportunity to, I suppose, make up ground on Man City. And Man City have been going through a lull as well. Obviously, with Liverpool, they're a little bit ahead at the top. So, very important. Nottingham Forest have been up there as well, you know, in 5th position. You know, they look down and they see below them the likes of Spurs and Man United and Villa, Newcastle. So, they're doing well. But Arsenal at home, you've got to go with a win. So, it's got to be 3-1 to Arsenal home advantage. They've got to get a home win to get back on winning ways. So, anything less than that, there'll be big murmurings and unsettlement at Arsenal. But I fancy that they're good enough to do it and they're getting some players back from injury as well. So, 3-1 home win to Arsenal at the moment. Okay. Aston Villa versus Crystal Palace. Yeah. Villa, again, going reasonably well. And Palace, a little bit up and down as well. But good footballing teams. Like most teams in the Premier League, they do play good football, whether they're at the top or the bottom. And Villa, as I said, a couple of recent bad results, they've dropped a little bit. But there's a pack there of around from 15 points up to 19 or 20 points of teams there. Villa right in the middle of it. I'm going to go... They're quite strong at home. Home win for Villa, 3-1. And just to continue their success in moving up the table. As I said, they got fourth place last year and they're in Europe at Champions League and going well in that as well. So, yeah, 3-1 home win. 3-1 to Aston Villa. Okay. Everton versus Brentford. Yeah. So Everton have picked up a few points. We know they were down in the bottom half. They're still a long way. They're only on 10 points there, but they're a little bit more improvement than where they were earlier in the season. And they've tightened up in defence. And we know they lost a couple of 2-0 leads earlier on in the season. So they've conceded three in both of those games, but have tightened up. And Brentford, again, a good team. Good footballing team. There'll be goals in this game, I fancy. I'm going to go 3-2 to Everton, home win in that one, which will boost their chances of just climbing out further away from the relegation zone. But Brentford, under Thomas Frank, a very good team. And there's goals in them both, home and away. So a good footballing method there. Go 3-2 to Everton, home win. Plenty of goals there. Fulham versus Wolves. Yeah. Fulham are well under. Yeah. In 7th position there on 18 points. As I said, they're one of those teams there, there's a group of them there between 16 and about 19 points. There's a whole host of teams there. So a win for any of those is going to jump them out of that. And then you're not too far off the top four as well. Top five, you know, even Nottingham Forest, they're on 19 points. And Arsenal, you know, Chelsea. All of those teams are Chelsea on third on 19 points. So, I mean, there's a huge amount to play for there with those teams that are, as I said, very clustered together there between 15, 16, 17 and 19 points. So three points for a win will certainly shoot them up there. I'm going to go with a draw on this because I think Wolves are slightly improving as well. They haven't always got the results they deserve. But I'll go with a 1-1 draw on that one. Right. Leicester versus Chelsea. Yeah. So, there, Leicester and Chelsea. Chelsea have been an interesting team. They're up there in third. A little bit off the pace, we'd say, of maybe City and Arsenal and, well, City and Liverpool, shall I say. They're on level pegging with Arsenal. They had a recent 1-1 draw with Arsenal, which was a chance for both teams to put a bit of separation between them. So I think if you're above Arsenal at this stage of the season, you're doing well from where Chelsea were last year. And Leicester as well. They'd be strong enough at home. Vardy's still scoring the odd goal for them. But I'm going to go with an away win there. I'm going to go 2-1 Chelsea for the away win because I think there's a little bit more goals in them. Right. And a little bit, they're progressing as a team under the new manager there. And I think there's something about them. So I'm just going to give them the balance there. 2-1 away win for Chelsea in that game. In that, right. OK, and the final one for Saturday, Manchester City versus Spurs. Oh, that'll be a good game. 5-0. Yeah. Sadly for Spurs, they've lost some terrible games in recent weeks. They almost have to go away to Man City now and win there, which is very difficult just to keep pace with the teams in mid-top table there. Man City, they've had a good record against Man City, Tottenham in recent years, but Man City need to win for their own reasons. They've been on a bit of a slump. Things not 100% there and a bit of a gap, as I said, back to, from them to Liverpool. They certainly don't want Liverpool getting any further ahead. I've got to say, I'm not so sure. I think City might, they're not as they're supposed to. I'd give a chance for Tottenham to get a draw there, but it'd be the most, because they are likely to concede. But I'll go 1-1, I think. It's a bit optimistic. It's a bit hard over the head. But City certainly need to at least keep a defeat off the cards. And if they don't only get a draw, they'd be hoping that Liverpool will not get three points, because that would be certainly putting them a bit of a gap, even at this early stage of the season. But I'm going to go 1-1 and that would be a decent result for Spurs. But as I said, both teams need to be a little bit more consistent than what they have been. Right. We move on to Sunday. The first one I have down here is Ipswich versus Manchester United. Yeah. So, again, Ipswich. United, obviously, they're going to be with the new manager coming in now. And they've had a little improvement. They're only in 13th position. And Ipswich down there, just above the relegation zone. Ipswich at home, I think. And I'm going to give them a chance of a draw, because they've played decent football. United are on a bit of an improvement. And I'd say that maybe they might steady their ship a little bit more under the new Portuguese manager. But I'm going to go with Ipswich to get a draw at least, which will consolidate them. But I think we'll be all watching Man United in the future matches and their progress under the new manager. And they've still got a lot of decent players there. And it'll be interesting to see if they go into the January transfer market as well. But I'm going to go 1-1 on that one, which wouldn't be a bad result for Ipswich. No, it would be a good result for Ipswich. OK, and finally, then, we have Southampton at home against Liverpool. Yeah, so a nice one to finish off the week. And Liverpool going well. Southampton have been struggling a bit. Top versus bottom, really? Yeah, yeah, down at the bottom. So it's classic top versus bottom. And back in the days, there were some surprise results, and that did happen. I'm going to go with a win for Liverpool. I think they're just strong enough now. They haven't always performed. They've got a couple of results that they possibly didn't deserve in recent matches. I think against Brighton was one classic example. But they managed to get them, and that's the main thing. So look, if City slip up and the other teams, this would be a great opportunity for Liverpool to put a bit of separation between them and the rest. And I'm going to go with a win for Liverpool 2-1 to further put pressure on Southampton and the manager there at the bottom of the table. But hopefully for Liverpool fans, it might give them a little bit more consolidation there at the top of the table. So 2-1 to Liverpool is the prediction on that one. Great. Okay, so Bernard, we have the Grand Prix next week, so we'll be looking at that. And hopefully it will be a good race in Las Vegas. So there's nothing else you have to add? No, I think we've covered a fair bit on that. Looking forward now to the last three races of the Grand Prix season, and it could be all done and dusted. I think if results go a particular way next week. But I suppose for the neutral, it would be nicer to go to the last one there in early December, I think, in Dubai. But we'll see how it goes. Yeah, but it would be hard to stop Mac Verstappen, don't you think? Yeah, yeah. No, I mean, as I said, the victory in the last race was unbelievable. And again, you keep your opponents at bay by finishing in first place. They cannot make up the ground. And again, he got 26 points out of that weekend with the extra points there for the races that they had there on the Saturday, the French races. So it's been good, but anything is still possible. And look at it, he only has to finish in the top three, maybe in two of those races to secure the victory. But yeah, it'll be interesting to see how it goes. Right. OK, we'll leave it at that, Sir Bernard. Thanks so much for taking our call and we'll speak to you next week. OK, thanks, Bill. Good evening to you. Right, so that's Bernard Lee there, listeners. I have on now, Tony Conlon. Good evening, Tony. Evening, it's good to hear. It's quite weather in the Gaelic front, but of course we have the clubs seeing a football championship semi-final between Barry Pearsons and Mo Hill. It was very easy for Barry Pearsons, really, wasn't it? Thirteen points to three. It was, as you said, very easy, I suppose, because there would have been a Trebeet and Curragh Finn, you know, there would have been hard favours going into it. Yeah, it would be hard favours. So it proved on the day, really, just far too strong, as you said, and comfortable enough, really, overall, for Pearsons there to come through on that. So, as I said, they would have been expected to win, I suppose, and very, once again, very damaged display overall, I think, from General. Yeah, they were they were good, weren't they? They are. They're looking at a decent site. There's no doubt about it, you know, that says it's, you know, you know, the West Cumberland Championship, it's a tough, tough hard championship to come through. There's been so many different winners and don'ts for the last few years, and, you know, they said when they came through that they decided, you know, they wanted to target at least a Connacht campaign because it's the first time ever, I think, that they've now got themselves into a Connacht final. So, yeah, so, you know, they're a good site, good, solid site, playing well, you know, and the conference is built on that, and, you know, I think it was, you know, to the size of Cora Finn, over the Championship, the half-breeders were now gone, so it's kind of opened the whole thing up, and, you know, they realised themselves that there was a good chance of winning, so they'll not shoot the final now. They'll be playing a team from Flavour now, I think, in the final in a couple of weeks' time. That's right. Who was it? Kuluk? Kuluk? Yeah, Kuluk came through yesterday. Yeah. It's an awful way to go out, isn't it? It is. We found that ourselves this year as well. It's a harsh way to go out. Cruel, yeah. Yeah, cruel way to go, you know, the rule is there. That's the rule. Once everybody knows that's the rule, that's the way it has to be. Well, of course, it can't be dragging on, I suppose. Well, I suppose, you know, that's the reason that it keeps the competition going and replaces all competitions, and that's why it's been brought across the board, across the country. Yeah, but as you say, at the same time, that's just, you know, on the day, it's just really when it goes to penalties, really, you know, it's who holds their nerve, you know. It all needs a bit of a look and a bit of a break on the day, and, you know, the cycle happens out of gesture. Yeah, it has. It has. Yeah. I wouldn't mind an inter-county because, you know, you've a short time span, but in the club, you'd imagine, although I suppose there's a bit of restraint there to, you know, Well, there is, I suppose, as you said, yeah, it's just when I suppose, you know, it's really just to keep the, you know, they're all running really in a parallel in all the competitions and all the provinces around the country, so I suppose they don't want any delays, anything to hold things up and that, so that's really the reason behind it really is just, you know, to try and keep things in sync in each province to move things along. Yeah. It was a sad loss for Paul Connery as well, wasn't it? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
