The Rise and Shine Show with Charlotte Charles discusses the importance of valuing and appreciating mothers. Children often take their mothers for granted, but it is essential to understand their love and sacrifices. Making time for our mothers and showing appreciation can mean the world to them. Mothers deserve respect and love, as they play a significant role in their children's lives. Jesus honored his mother, and we should follow his example. Mary, the mother of Jesus, faced condemnation and challenges, but she remained faithful and willing to fulfill God's plan. Mary and Joseph's journey was not easy, but they allowed God to lead. Jesus, the King of Kings, was born in a humble setting, and Mary's focus was solely on her baby. We should value and appreciate our mothers, just as Jesus valued and honored his mother. Welcome back everybody. It's wonderful to have you listening to the Rise and Shine Show with me Charlotte Charles. All are welcome. We are all family and today's topic has been so awesome so far. It's been about mothers and we have been speaking about the role of a mother and how important they are. I hope you are enjoying this as much as I am, praise God. But it's time for us to value people in our lives, especially our mums. Sometimes as children we don't actually realise what our mothers do for us. We just continually think they are just moaning, they are just complaining. What do they know? I want to do what I want to do because I know. We have all been there. We have all come against our mothers at some point in our life. But I want to tell you today that let that change. Know that your mum loves you with everything and know that your mum sometimes sees things, or mother sees things that you do not see. It's time to value us. It's time to have an understanding sometimes of what she is going through. We give God thanks. We give God thanks for all mothers. But we are only going to get one mum in this life. Remember guys, we only have one mum. You know, in this life. Don't live your life regretting the things that you want to say to your mum. Don't live in guilt. Don't live wanting to say certain things to your mum, but never had the chance because you got too busy or your mum did your head in, so you decided to shove her in a care home or whatever it may be. Always make time to ring your mum. Even if it's once a week, once every few days. Hey mum, how are you? How's it going? You know, do you know that phone call with you just ringing your mum can encourage her so much that that will even be the highlight of her day that she's heard from you Praise God. You know, don't forget her days. Don't forget Christmases. You know, all a mother truly wants, honestly guys, is appreciation. She just wants to feel valued. Valued by her husband. Valued by her children. You know, knowing that what she is doing, Praise God, isn't going amiss. You know, she just wants to have a hug, you know. Have some time where it's like, thank you mum, I appreciate. I appreciate you've just cooked me that food. I appreciate what you've done. You know, so many people in this life condemn women. They condemn what women do. They condemn, you know, but to be fair, no man, truthfully, understands what it's like to be a woman. No man knows what it's like to go through childbirth. No man knows what it's like that sometimes people get post-natal depression. They fall into an emotional thing in their life because their body's gone through so much trauma. You know, sometimes they don't always have it together. You know, and it takes a mighty God to give the strength. And sometimes you've got to give women, you know, a bit of TLC. Rather than condemning them, rather than judging them, rather than putting them down. You know, thinking that they're machines and thinking, you know, that they can just carry on. It's okay. You know, like the same way that the Bible says, treat others how you want to be treated, basically. You know, we have to love our brothers. We have to love those around us. And, you know, a mother deserves that love. She deserves that respect because if it wasn't so, then the Lord wouldn't have put that up in his Word. Praise God. You know, and we see that as a child goes through life, your mothers will be your biggest cheerleader. There is no biggest cheerleader than your mother. Your mother will want that front row seat. Your mother will be there with that camera. She will have every picture from the age of 1 to 21. You know, she will have every picture of every graduation, of every assembler, every little video, of every Christmas play that you did. And she will be sitting there, even if you was the only kid that said one line upon that stage. She would still be there crying. She would still be there clapping. She would still be there cheering you on. You know, to be fair, mothers have such a beautiful role to play in their children's life. And that's not even explaining when the child becomes sick, you know, and it's completely mum around the clock. She loses sleep. She'll be rubbing your back while you're being sick in the toilet. She's there giving you medicine. She's there washing your clothes. She's there asking you and checking in if you're okay. She's there to make your favorite food. She's there to give you medicine. You know, but she doesn't catch up on sleep. She still has to keep going on, you know. So let's give respect to our mothers. Let's really appreciate them. And if you have a mother out there that is alive today, you know, ring her up. Tell her how amazing she is. Tell her how great she is. Tell her how thankful you are for her and what she's done for you. Praise be to God, you know. So next time you may say something you don't quite... Next time, remember, if your mum says something you don't quite like or you don't quite understand, it's not that she's saying it to you to put you down. She is saying it to you because she can see something that you can't, you know. And mothers have a way of saying things to their child, don't go there, you know, that person's not quite good company for you, you know, because they can see things. They're not saying it to be horrible. It's just that they want you to thrive and they want the best for you. Praise God. But now we are going to see how Jesus valued his mother and Mary's journey. We've got to understand that everything Jesus did, like I always say, was to set an example for us. So Jesus put in his word, the Lord put in his word, honour your father and your mother. It's because that's what we need to do. We see that Jesus really did honour his mother and his father, even when he went to the temple, you know, and his mother came in and says, you've been gone three days. And he never said it in a rude way. He says, you should know where I would be in my father's house. You know, he didn't say it rudely to her. But we see that Jesus had a lot of respect for his mother. So we should find him in the same footstep, praise God, because everything Jesus did was an example for us. So now we are going to talk about Mary's journey and what she had to go through. Not only did she face condemnation, seriously, she faced so much condemnation for what God was about to do in her life. Even the person she truly loved nearly walked away from her, if it hadn't have been for God, you know. So she may have been carrying the king, kings and the Lord of Lords, but that came at a price for Mary, you know. God really did see something in Mary. She was carrying the ultimate king, the saviour of the whole world, and she did not have it easy, guys. She did not have it easy. And we see throughout Scripture that God opened up people's rooms. We see this throughout the Bible. He opened up people's rooms. He opened up the wombs that were barren. But we also see that there were certain man-children of God, like Samson, Moses, John the Baptist, Samuel and more, that they had a divine purpose and a divine calling from the Lord. And they had to fulfil that calling, you know. We see that their names were revealed through dreams or their names were revealed by angels, you know. So we can see that they had an important role to do upon the earth. Mary must have just been so special and God could have chose anybody else. But he didn't. He knew Mary's heart and he knew she could handle what he was about to give her. Mary agreed, even though she knew that this could cost her Joseph. Can you imagine, guys, being in love? You're about to get married. Everything's going great. Then you go for a stroll and the next minute you know, an angel of the Lord is saying, you know, you're going to carry the King Kings and the Lord of Lords. And you're a virgin. You don't even know what's going on. You're like, well, how's this going to happen? The Holy Spirit's going to come upon you, you know. How amazing. Can you imagine, truthfully, what Mary must have thought? What about Joseph? You know, what about our marriage? What about, but she said yes and she agreed. Praise God. Hallelujah. But God saw her faithfulness and her willingness. And even when Mary thought it was all over, you know, because Joseph is like, you know what, maybe it's best kind of you go that way, I'll go this way. God had to intervene and he stepped right in at the right time, you know, to let Joseph know that what Mary was saying to him was the truth and that he should marry Mary, you know, but you know what the amazing thing is, is God even gave Joseph the baby's name, which was Jesus. How beautiful is that? And you can find this with Joseph in Matthew chapter one, verses 20 to 21. And from that day forward, Joseph remained loyal, dedicated, and he married Mary. Mary and Joseph didn't have it either. Their journey wasn't easier. Can you imagine how Joseph may have felt when it was time for Mary to give birth? Not having a stable home, not knowing if he was going to have to even deliver the baby. But Mary and Joseph remained humble. And guess what they did? They allowed God to lead. And guess what? In a barn is where the king of kings was born. It wasn't a pleasant smell. Can you imagine giving birth in a barn, you know, around pigs and sheep and cows and whatever else, animals may have been in that barn at that time, you know, wouldn't have been a pleasant smell. You know, you would have had all eyes on you, basically all the animals there, praise God, you know, and everyone around. And you must imagine like Mary was way out of her comfort zone and her surroundings, but nothing else mattered to Mary but her baby at that wonderful present time. Mary didn't have much time to heal, you know, because we think after giving birth, like we're lucky, really. We're in hospitals. Sometimes we stay in overnight. Sometimes we come home, you know, when we've got family and we've got support there to help us. All Mary had was Joseph at that time. And of course, the Lord. And all women can even relate to having their first child, going through that trauma, going through all of that, and your body taking a hit. The first child, I don't know what it is about the first child. Your body feels so different, praise God. And the after pains, the aches, the pains. Imagine, just think of all that and not even having them bed to lie in, just a barn. But once again, we don't hear Mary complain. And then an angel warns Joseph again in a dream to leave where they were. And Mary had to sit on a donker not long after giving birth, holding Jesus in her arms on a donker. How uncomfortable that may have felt for her. But she again was humble. God instructed and they listened and applied. So we're seeing major obedience, praise God. And through their obedience and through their listening, Jesus was safe. Mary was strong. And I believe God gave Mary so much supernatural strength. Because this wasn't just any normal child. This was the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. Because no matter what she went through, she did not complain. Joseph loved Jesus with all he had. And he taught Jesus carpentry. He taught Jesus to trade. And he loved Jesus until the day there was no more. And he passed, praise God. Mary could have gave up all she, Mary could have gave everything in. She could have said, no, I don't want to be this. I don't think, you know, complained, murmured, moaned. Why do I have to give birth in the barn? This is the King of Kings. This is the Lord of Lords. But she never, she never. Her trust was in God. She knew that he had placed something so special inside of her. That he was going to provide for his son. Praise God. But she never complained. All she ever did was love Jesus. And can you imagine what she had to go through? Seeing Jesus whipped. Seeing him with his flesh hanging off. Seeing them how they would push him. Rip off his garment. You know, how do you think that must have made Mary feel at that time? You know, because as a mother, you'd want to jump in. And you'd want to say, hey, stop. But knowing that's what he had to do. You know, that's what he had to go through. The cross is what he had to bear. For your own mother to see you upon the cross. See them nails go through his hands. See them break his legs. See them put them nails through his feet. She had to sit there as a mother. Watching her son be in excruciating pain at that time. And she couldn't do anything. You know, so we really do have to look at the journey what Mary went through. You know, Mary was a wonderful mother to Jesus. And Jesus valued her very much. And he loved her very much. And I just want to encourage anybody out there. Love your mums. They don't always get it right. They don't always know. You know, but they do have your best interests at heart. And even if you have done something wrong to your mum, I know that if you go and you say sorry, she will open her arms up to you. You know, don't live this life. Don't live this life, praise God, in regret or guilt. Praise God. But this is coming to an end of our topic, our talk. So I'm just going to close this up in prayer. Praise God. Father, I just want to thank you, Lord. I want to thank you, Lord, for all the mothers, Lord, that you have placed upon this earth. I thank you, Lord Jesus, that you have given them supernatural strength. I thank you, Lord, that you have gave them the words of wisdom. That you have gave them, Lord Almighty God, the instructions, Lord. I thank you, Lord, for the praying mums, Lord God. That Lord God, oh hallelujah, will continue to pray for the kids until they see, Lord God, a breakthrough. I thank you, Lord, for mothers, Lord. I pray, Lord, that you will touch every mother around the globe today, Lord God. That, Lord God, you will cover them in your anointing, Lord God. That, Lord God, you, Lord God, will just outpour upon them, Lord, a blessing today, Lord God. Thank you, Lord, that you have used every mother to bring forth life. Hallelujah. Lord God, I ask, Lord, for more strength in the mothers. More determination. More, Lord God. Hallelujah, that you will outpour more upon them, Lord God. Lord, I thank you for the listeners today. I thank you, Lord, that those, Lord God, that are going to amend things with their mothers, Lord. I thank you, Lord, those that are going to forgive their mothers. I thank you, Lord, those that are going to check upon their mothers. I thank you, Lord, that you are convicting and you are changing. And you are touching those, Lord God, to be respectful to their parents, Lord God. I thank you, Lord, for that one, Lord, that is repenting of rebellion. I thank you, Lord, of that one, Lord God, that is taking upon this world today, Lord God. And, Lord God, they're going to be calm and they're going to honour their parents, Lord. I thank you, Lord, for the time on Christian Cornerstone, Christian Radio, Lord. And I ask, Lord, that your will will be done, Lord God. Bless all those that listened in, Lord God. And I pray, Lord, that your will will be done today in no other name but in the name of Jesus. So be blessed, everybody. Be encouraged. And remember to love your mothers. Hallelujah. Until next time, praise God.
