Session 4 Raw

The group is in a chamber with a throne, an old woman with a golden finger, and people in masks. They are asked to join a trial. Two members of the group go exploring and find a maggot-like creature. They attack it. Meanwhile, the rest of the group goes to check on the old woman on the throne. When they return to the chamber, they find several locusts dead and four locusts alive. The old woman has a golden finger attached to her hand and the dead locusts rise. Serafina and Doran are the first to react and are 20 feet away from the rising dead. I don't know the quality effect it has. Are people ready? Okay, I'm recording. Ready. Three, two, one. Yeah, a nerdy bitch. Alright, that should be enough space. Alright, I'll play some D&D. Okay. First off, the recap from last time. Upon discovering a locust, a person of a specific gang that lives up in the mountains, you all actually kind of hit it off with the locust, I'm not going to lie to you. Things were going well. You talked about some things while they led you up the mountain. As they led you up the mountain, you all entered the chamber. I'm ready to clap. This chamber had a throne. On the throne was an old woman with a golden finger who used that finger to cast a couple command words that you felt compelled to follow. Surrounding the old woman were a bunch of people in masks, like tiki-looking masks with horns. And one of these set of horns perhaps was similar to Hope's horns, but maybe a little bit larger. Upon your conversation, she asked you to join and asked that you all join the trial, which would take you through a set of rigorous moments. But afterwards, every person that's done the trial does join the locust. You all said, can we sleep on it? So, you went to your rooms, distracted a guard by Mordred turning into a big wolf. Seraphina, you kind of hit it off with Thor. Thor. With a T. With a T. Thor. While Carlos distracted... Sorry, while Mordred distracted Spore. Um... Um... You hit it off with Thor, who led you to a room, gave you a ruby, um, and was talking about the history of what she remembers and the limited stuff she remembers. Spore was interested in a big dog, so that was the two of them. Uh, and Doran and Idaho broke off to go exploring. Spore. During which you... Spore. Went down a T-cave. That led down, down, down. There were two others. One that was steep but forward, and one that was up and cold. Uh, at the bottom of the cave you found that you were somehow outside. In... Thor. A different place? Where there was lava everywhere and storms? And also a pit slash crater that inside had a maggot with the head of like a humanoid? Anyway, that's weird, but it asked you to kill it, so you attacked it. It was fine. Actually, wait, did you attack it before or after? Uh-oh. Yeah, you did both. Yeah. Yeah, cool. I got it in my head. It asked you to kill it, so you attacked it. That hurt. That hurt everybody. Uh, upstairs, everybody went to go check on the person who sat on the throne to make sure that they were alright. So the guards left, left you two on your own. The other two of you, Doran and Idaho, ran upstairs, talked, you all talked to each other, met up, said, wow, that was weird. Horror? It can't have been horror. I would have remembered that. Um, you also noticed the ruler of this place had, um, a lot of medics, basically, attending to them after your short rest. You all then headed down to where the guards were, back to the location where you could head down the hall. The guards were stopping you for a minute, but quickly, you faked an injury, they did They were really interested in first aid, so you faked an injury and they did first aid on you. Um, and that helped, uh, Doran and Idaho slip back down where Doran proceeded to nearly kill this maggoty creature. Um, you all got down there, you all thought, uh, maybe not, headed back up. The guards next to you were dead. You ran past them to the throne room where you saw about seven or so more locusts dead on the ground. The queen slumped over. Well, he attacked it many times. And alive, or standing at least, you saw I believe four locusts. Four, four, the one with horns that looked like hope, and one other who is not important to the story. We're going to rejoin here because I'm going to slightly change the way the last time ended because I know I'm a bit more of a cliffhanger, but I'm going to, I'm going to, something slightly different happened, I was wrong about something. But, don't worry about that. Are there any questions before we get going and before I lead us into what will be? Now, take it away, let's do it. Oh, it's horns. I wouldn't do that. How many, how many bites for that take out person? And begin meditating. Um, do you guys have like an initial reaction to this? I'll let you all do like one action as a group. Thank you. Um, they're pointing at you guys, uh, you see, uh, next to her spore, uh, is sitting on the ground. The other guy, who seems to not have a name for some reason, is also sitting on the ground, meditating. She's not, she's not holding her finger that has the thing. And she responds to you, Idaho, and she goes, if you, look around, what's going on? There's not such a desire to kill things. Yeah. Like, take in everything. Maybe they'd still be alive. At least, in more of a capacity than they will be in, five, four, three, two, one. Uh, and you guys see the corpses, at least, like, four or five, begin to rise back up, in not a wholly alive way, So is she holding a cleave, holding a finger at us? Or is it... So she did a little surgery to put it back on. She's not like, doing this. Okay, I just need to make sure. That changes the, how I feel about this.
