Burton Egbert Stevenson
Burton Egbert Stevenson (1872–1962) was a multi-talented American personality who worked as a librarian, author, and anthologist. In addition to his library duties, Stevenson authored several novels, including four young adult books. He also edited the works of other writers and compiled several anthologies of verse and familiar quotations that are still popular today. Stevenson's anthologies have stood the test of time and continue to be widely circulated.
