The main ideas from this information are: - The Lord is on your side, so you don't have to fear anything you may be facing. - Call on the Lord in your distress and keep your trust in Him. - Let God handle all negative situations and people in your life. - Get closer to God through prayer, fasting, and rejoicing in His presence. - Share the word of God with everyone you come in contact with. - Be born again through repentance, baptism in Jesus' name, and receiving the Holy Ghost. - Encourage and uplift one another. - Stay positive during the holiday season and keep the Lord with you. - The Lord will never leave or forsake you, so don't fear what man can do. - Walk by faith and not by sight. Praise the Lord everybody. This is Bishop Elect J.E. Anderson. You've tapped into the encouragement corner once again. We're bringing the Word of God to you to be an encouragement in your life. Today we're going to talk about how the Lord is on your side. The Lord is on your side. Scripture is coming from Psalms 118 in the sixth verse. Amen. The Lord is on my side. I will not fear what can man do unto me. The Lord is on my side. I will not fear what man can do unto me. Amen. Father, in the name of Jesus, Lord, we just thank you for waking us up this morning and starting us on our way. You didn't have to do it, but you did. So for that, we say thank you, Lord. We just ask you to forgive us for all our sins. Lord, we just ask you to be with us going out and going in. And because you are all powerful, we will not fear today. And so, Lord, be on our side today. Help us, strengthen us, promote us, increase us. In Jesus name we pray. Amen. And so the Lord is on your side today. So you do not have to fear anything this week that you may be facing because who is on your side, you're going to make it anyways. Did you catch that? Doesn't matter who's in your life, who walks off, who stand beside you. You're going to make it anyways because the scripture declares the Lord is on your side. Nothing can stop you. Nothing can stop you. Nothing can hinder you. So just keep going. When God is for you, nothing can stand against you. So listen, the first thing I want to submit to your hearing and notate this call on the Lord in your distress. The worst thing that you can do is when you get yourself in trouble, feel guilty and stop calling on the name of Jesus. So to feel closer to God, try opening your prayer by addressing him directly. OK, make it personal. Call on the name of Jesus. No matter what, whether you're up, whether you're down. Call on the matchless name of Jesus. Notate this as well. Keep your trust in the Lord. So call on the Lord in your distress and keep your trust in the Lord, no matter what you've gotten yourself into or no matter what you're facing. Trust God. Let God be your fear and scare away all those times of troubles you face. In other words, the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. So God should be the only one that you fear. Don't fear the situation. Don't fear man. Don't fear woman. Don't fear. Don't be fearful what you see on TV. Don't be fearful of the, you know, what's going on in the world as it relates to economics and wars. You know, the scripture says in the end time, there will be wars and rumors of war. So don't allow that to put fear in your heart. Just keep trusting in the Lord. Amen. Allow God to put fear in what grieves you. Amen. In other words, wave all your problems away. Allow God to go before you and handle everything that is going on in your life. So those times of distress will go away if you put your trust totally in the Lord. Let God be your rock of offense to attack your troubles. Because oftentimes we try to fight our battles and we try to become the snare and the trap for the predators that are on our route. But the Bible says vengeance is mine said the Lord. And so God is going to take care of all those negative situations, all those negative people that are trying to get us crossed up, hemmed up, tied up. God is going to handle it all. And finally, today, just bring it. Come with the word of God. Come with prayer. Come with fasting. You know, get back on track. You got to turn down some plates this season. Amen. Get back on track with your consecration. Walk in true holiness. Just bring it because nothing can stand against the power of God. The more you get closer to God, the more he's going to give you power and anointing. He's going to pour fresh oil. He's going to give you fresh revelation. Amen. You're going to have power to heal the sick. You're going to have power to preach God's word. You're going to have power to rejoice in the spirit. You know, some of us need to rejoice. We need to get back in the presence of God. The Bible says he inhabits the praises of his people. So when you get in your car, switch it up. You know, don't listen to all that secular music. Start listening to some spiritual music and start rejoicing in your spirit. Because we have power to give witness of Jesus and attract people to God. But people are not going to be attracted to God and the God that's in you if we're not walking in true holiness. You know, we're supposed to be sanctified. And so just bring it because nothing can stand against the power of God. And listen, we have the power to give witness of salvation. Amen. We have to share the word of God honestly with everyone that we come in contact with. The witness of Jesus Christ, the word of God. Amen. And we have to talk about Jesus everywhere we go, especially if we sold out for him. Amen. So we just thank God again for this sure word. God is on your side. God is standing by you. He's he's in you and he's going to continue to do what he promised. Real quickly, I want to go over some additional scriptures. Acts chapter two, verse 37 through 39, it says, And when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, men and brethren, what shall we do? Then Peter said unto them, repent and be baptized, every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins. And you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost for the promises unto you and to your children, to all that are far off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call. Praise the Lord. Acts chapter two, verses one through four. And when the day of Pentecost was fully calm, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as a fire and it set upon each of them. Watch this. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost and began to speak with other tongues. As the spirit gave them utterance, you know, Jesus told Nicodemus in John chapter three, unless a man is born again, he cannot enter the kingdom. Amen. And so we need to be born of the water and of the spirit. So we have to be baptized. First, we have to repent. We have to be baptized in Jesus name. And we have to receive the Holy Ghost with initial evidence of speaking in tongues of the spirit of God. Give utterance. That's the gospel. Amen. And so we just thank God once again for bringing the word to you. This is the encouragement corner. We're here to encourage you. You know, the scripture declares in First Thessalonians five and eleven. Therefore, encourage one another and build up one another just as you also are doing. So, listen, we're going to continue to uplift your name in prayer. If you desire prayer, give us a call at 813-770-9610. Amen. We have services Sunday at 10 a.m. and also Wednesday Bible study during the week. Once again, this is the bishop elect James E. Anderson. I love you all in Jesus name. Continue to walk by faith and not by sight. Stay positive during the holiday season. You know, this month is it's one of those months where a lot of people enter into depression. They take their own lives. You know, don't look at the negative. Always look at the positive. OK, our attitudes determine our altitude and that could that can ascend as well as descend. So keep the Lord with you and continue to lift up the name of Jesus on a level that you've never done before. So, listen, the Lord is on your side. The Lord is standing with you today. He'll never leave you nor forsake you. So just keep them first. Don't fear and definitely don't fear what man can do to you. Man, nobody can do anything to you unless God allow it. And if God is allowing it, watch this. He will never put no more on us than we can bear. Amen. We love you all in Jesus name. Continue to walk by faith and not by sight. Until next time. God bless.
