They share a scripture from Isaiah 40:31 and encourage listeners to trust in God and wait for His guidance in decision-making. Waiting on God is said to create humility and help us grow closer to Christ. The speaker also mentions the baptism of the Holy Spirit and the importance of repentance. They remind listeners to be born again and live a life of faith. The message concludes with a reminder to love and trust God, as we do not know when Jesus will return. Praise the Lord everybody. Once again this is the encouragement corner. This is Pastor Anderson, Overflow Outreach Ministries. We're reaching out to you wherever you are at. Awesome word once again. This is the second part of the three-part series. We're dealing with the benefits of waiting on God. The benefits of waiting on God. Man let me tell you something, waiting on God is not the easiest thing to do. Oftentimes we move ourselves out of position and we miss God because we don't know how to wait. We don't understand the benefits of waiting and we just shift ourselves out of position because we are focusing on the wrong thing. And so the benefits of waiting on God is just an awesome thing to do. You know waiting on God like we said the last podcast it renews our mind physically, spiritually, and emotionally. It renews us and it renews our well-being. Today's lesson once again is coming from Isaiah chapter 40 verse 31. Amen. Once again this is Pastor Anderson, Overflow Outreach Ministries. You've tapped into the encouragement corner. I tell you what everybody needs to be encouraged. You know according to Romans 12 and 2 it says that we are encouraged to renew our minds daily so that we may know God's will and that God will renew our strength as we wait in him. Praise the Lord. Real quickly we're going to go into prayer. Father in the name of Jesus Lord we just thank you for waking us up this morning and starting us on our way. Lord we just ask you forgive us for all of our sins. Lord we just thank you. You could have cut us off Lord but we are covered by the blood of Jesus Christ and that's not something that we take for granted. Oh God so for that we say thank you. Lord we just ask you to look over our loved ones, look out for them, family members, our friends, and acquaintances. Oh God cover them in this holiday season. Lord bless the homeless right now. Those who are looking for someone to live, food to eat. Lord we just ask you to continue to provide for them and provide for us Lord and keep it in our minds primarily that you're soon to come. Jesus name we pray. Amen. Praise the Lord. The benefits of waiting on God. Isaiah 40 and 31 declares but they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings as eagles. They shall run and not be weary and they shall walk and not faint. You know it's a very popular scripture but the thing about it is we like to wait we like to say we waiting on God but I'm here to let you know without the Holy Ghost your strength will not be renewed. You will not run and not get weary and you will not walk and not faint if you're not filled with the Spirit and so waiting on God helps us to focus on the purpose and direction for our life according to God's will. This is the deal we all have a purpose for our lives but oftentimes you know we get it in our minds that we can take on the purpose that we want to take on. No we need to wait on God and hear from God to hear what is our purpose and direction for our lives. It's important to take time to be still before God falling deeply into him so we confidently know God's will as we live out our daily lives amen. The best thing I can tell you to do is to go to the Word of God every day amen. First thing in the morning get your prayers in and go to the Word of God and allow God to speak to you according to your situation. Proverbs chapter 3 5 and 6 tells us if we trust God with all our ways then he will direct our paths. Praise the Lord. The question is do we really trust God in all of our ways? Sometimes we commit our way to him in some of our ways but we don't commit all of our ways to him amen. Do you really wait on God for the answer or do you make a rash decision and do things that would affect your parents, your brother, your sister, your loved ones, your friends, your church family. Do you really wait this thing out? Do you really go to the Lord in prayer and ask God to lead and guide you as it relates to your decision-making or do you just make quick decisions and then after a couple months you find out that you made the wrong decision amen. Which leads me to say this waiting on God creates humility. Man let me tell you when you are really waiting on God it brings a humbleness upon you because you know it is not in your own strength that your prayers will be answered amen. The word declares it's not by might nor by power but it's by God's Spirit said the Lord of hosts. So waiting on God it creates humility it helps smooth out our rough edges that need to be dealt with. We don't start out willing to wait. Our human response to waiting is often anger or doubt however God is gracious and merciful understanding of our tendencies. Watch this as we wait in the Lord we have the opportunity to grow into a closer reflection of Christ putting aside the stumbling blocks in our lives that hold us back. I know I was a lot to take in but look we all must be a reflection of Jesus Christ that's the bottom line. Are we an example of the love of God? I often say this to the church love, joy, peace, patience, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness, self-control, amen. We have to have these these fruits of the Spirit. Amen. Love, joy, peace, patience, goodness, kindness, gentleness, self-control, faithfulness, amen. Nine of them. All these fruits on your tree because waiting on God it creates a humility and then we start to grow thereby and then we begin to produce fruit because it helps smooth out our rough edges that God need to deal with. God needs to deal with our attitudes. Do you not know your attitude it determines your altitude and that can ascend as well as descend. Amen. So it's more than a notion being a scripture quoter we need to be scripture livers. Amen. We have to be living apostles read of all men. We all have a sinful tendency we all have a sin nature. Amen. And we have to overcome these things that is not of God if we are going to be where Jesus is at and so we have to crucify this flesh daily through prayer, through the reading of God's Word and watch that this is big through fellowship. The Bible says in the book of Acts the saints of God they met up daily. We know you know as well as I know people not meeting up daily for worship anymore. Amen. Everyone has an excuse as to why they are not coming back to church but watch this. Amen. Do your research before 300 AD, amen, they were going from house to house worshiping the Lord. So here we go how bad do you want the Lord? Amen. Things may not ever get back to where the way it used to be but God is a God that changes not and the Word does not change. So as we wait in the Lord and have our expectation moving forward we have the opportunity to grow into a closer reflection of Christ. Praise the Lord. And so we have to put aside the stumbling blocks once again and our lives that hold us back. Amen. So waiting on God it creates humility and waiting on God helps us to focus on the purpose and direction for our life. Amen. But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings as eagles. They shall run and not be weary and they shall walk and not faint. Amen. Real quickly when the day of Pentecost was fully come they were all with one accord in one place and suddenly there came a sound from heaven as a rushing mighty wind and it filled all the house where they were sitting. They appeared unto them cloven tongues like as a fire and it set upon each of them and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost and began to speak with other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance. Wow. This is what you would get if you wait on God. You will receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost. Notice what the scripture says now when they heard this they were pricked in their hearts and said unto Peter and to the rest of the Apostles men and brethren what shall we do? Then Peter said unto them repent. Tell somebody today repent, repent, repent, repent means to turn and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remissions of sins and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. I like this part. For the promises unto you and to your children and to all that are far off even as many as the Lord our God shall call. Jesus answered and said unto them verily, verily I say unto thee except a man be born again he cannot see the kingdom of God. Nicodemus said unto him how can a man be born when he is old can he enter the second time into his mother's womb and be born? Jesus answered verily, verily I say unto thee except a man be born of water and of spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I say unto thee ye must be born again. So waiting on God it brings forth the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues. That's why we need to wait on God. This is the second part series we got one more part is going to get good next week. Amen. Put your seatbelt on God is in the blessing business. God is getting ready to do something that's going to literally blow your mind. The Holy Ghost can fall on you in the shower. The Holy Ghost can fall at you while you wake up in the morning. The Holy Ghost can fall upon you while you are driving your car. God is pouring out his spirit upon all flesh in this hour. Why? Because Jesus is soon to come. Amen. Once again this is Pastor Anderson Overflow Outreach Ministries. Amen. We are reaching out to you and you've tapped into the encouragement corner. Amen. You guys have a happy holiday. You have a great Thanksgiving this week. Amen. Celebrate Thanksgiving. Amen. I know it's a controversy what Thanksgiving is all about. Man those of us a household of faith. Amen. We look at all things and see the positive in it. Don't get caught up with all of this stuff that's going on in the world. Love on your peoples and continue to love God because we do not know the day or the hour when our Lord and Savior is going to crack that sky. So once again continue to walk by faith and not by sight. The scripture declares now faith is right now. Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. We walk by faith and not by sight. I love you all in Jesus name. Continue to be blessed and continue to be a blessing to everyone that you bump into. Have a great week.
