The speaker reflects on their past mistakes and regrets, wishing they could go back in time to change things. They acknowledge that they can't rewrite their story but can learn from their mistakes. They emphasize the importance of accepting oneself, forgiving oneself, and moving forward. The speaker also talks about their addiction and how reflecting on their life has helped them find clarity and openness. They encourage listeners to not give up on themselves and remind them that change starts from within. The speaker concludes by thanking the listeners and encouraging them to be strong, happy, and open to the possibility of good things happening. I wish I could go back in time and change the things that I've done, the words I've said, the choices that I've made, the battles I've lost and won. I wish I could erase the past and start my life anew, the pain I've caused, the hurt I've felt, the dreams I've failed to pursue. But I know I can't undo what's done. I can't rewrite my story. I can only learn from my mistakes and hope for a better glory. I know I have to face myself and accept who I am, the good, the bad, the ugly, the flawed, the human, the man. I know I have to forgive myself and let go of the regret, the guilt, the shame, the blame, the anger, the sorrow, the fret. I know I have to move on and look forward to the future, the possibilities and the opportunities, the chances, the growth, the change, the adventure. The past did not create our future. The future is untold and only one person knows. So as I reflect on my life and on my addiction, the shadow people have stopped visiting me. My life has become more clear and more open. If there is someone out there listening to my podcast that can relate to my stories, I just want you to know, don't give up on yourself. As long as you have breath in your lungs, there's always time to change. Remember, change starts within, because if you're always looking in the mirror and you do not like what you see, your life will never change. Reflections of an Addict by Robert Freeman. Thank you once again for listening to Exposed, Breaking the Stigma. Be strong, be happy, and always know, good can happen as long as you let go.
