In Week 2, we will learn about interpreting cardiac rhythms. We will identify lethal and nonlethal rhythms, measure cardiac rhythms, and determine rate and rhythm. Resources include an online handout, a practice website for the Week 3 exam, a video lecture on rhythm interpretation and medical management, and an article on the importance of nurses checking telemetry rhythm strips. We will also have lab demonstrations, a virtual simulation with debriefing, and an on-campus exam. Hello, everyone, and welcome to Week 2. This week, we're going to learn all about how to interpret cardiac rhythms. We will go over how to identify the lethal cardiac rhythms. We will differentiate the nonlethal cardiac rhythms, and I will demonstrate to you how to properly measure cardiac rhythms so, therefore, you can determine rate rhythm and the rhythm it is. For resources this week, there's an online handout that also differentiates the lethal and nonlethal rhythms. There's a practice website that's listed on the Moodle, which will also be used for our exam in Week 3. There is a video lecture on rhythm interpretation with the significance of the rhythm, along with the medical management of the rhythm. There's an article on the importance of nurses checking telemetry rhythm strips, which is a really great article and good for nursing practice. On campus, in the lab, I will demonstrate how to measure the rhythm strips, as I mentioned. We will do a virtual simulation with a mock megacode scenario with debriefing at the end. We are going to take an on-campus exam covering the topics we discussed in Week 1, and there will also be a simulation performance checkoff for the mock code scenario. So, hope everyone has a great week. Thanks for listening, and I'll talk to you soon.
