Hey what's up guys, this is Brandon Keysock and I'm going to tell you a little bit about my hometown, Pottsville, Pennsylvania. Some fun facts, starting off with the fact that it's the home of America's oldest brewery. Yes, if you go look at a yin and yang bottle, you'll see at the bottom, Pottsville, Pennsylvania, that's where I was born and raised. Fun fact about Pottsville is that there used to be a football team named the Pottsville Maroons. They were actually an NFL team, just like the Philadelphia Eagles, Pittsburgh Steelers, that level, but obviously way back in time. Well they actually went on to win an NFL championship and there's a big controversy in my hometown that they're still fighting to this day that we should be awarded that championship. However there was a game that they played against the college and at the time college teams were better than the NFL. They were held to a higher standard. However, you couldn't just play another team just because you wanted to. So a broker rule and the Arizona Cardinals, I believe, they challenged the legitimacy of our championship and they actually got awarded the championship. And shortly after this, our team disbanded because of just the chaos that ensued to never have a team again. It's kind of funny to think that my hometown that is a run down shell of itself could have been a huge city if this team would have stayed, been successful, and then became a team like Pittsburgh Steelers or the Philadelphia Eagles. On top of that, we're known for our coal mining and the train system was huge in our city. When those both got outdated, our city fell apart and like I said before, it's a shell of itself. Yingling is the only good thing that is left, museums and people come visit, tourist attraction. But other than that, nothing much to see and there's nothing really good about the town anymore, which is sad. But it's still my home. It's still where I grew up, blessed to have a unique and interesting start to my life, but definitely do not want to spend a lot of my remaining life there. A little bit about my hometown, I'm a big family person. All my family lives within a 30 minute radius, but yeah, pleasure meeting you all. Look forward to working with you in class. See you later.
