Millions of people are still struggling with post-COVID depression, anxiety, and fear. The isolation and quarantine worsened these mental health issues. People are panicky and nervous, constantly on edge. The pandemic also caused shortages and disruptions in daily life, further impacting mental health. It's important to be aware of these struggles and offer support. Taking deep breaths and practicing relaxation techniques can help alleviate stress. We need to help each other and spread the message of positivity and reassurance. Millions and millions of people are still suffering from post-COVID depression, anxiety, worry, and fear, the fear that it will come back. How many of you can attest to this? You feel the fear of it coming back. You feel the fear of not being able to recover from all of the trauma and the drama that the entire world experienced for over two years. And it's still going on on a smaller scale, thankfully, but we all must be aware that there is such a thing as COVID-19. How could we forget? Many people were already isolated from family and friends and relationships and were already filled with anxiety, worry, and fear. The COVID isolation and quarantine magnified that a thousand times. People are panicky, they're jumpy, they're nervous. You find them out in the marketplace looking to their sides and back because they're so anxious about what and who they may be around right now. The mask and the quarantine did something psychologically to humanity that it will take time to recover from it. I think the lack of awareness of this will cause more problems than ever before. So I am here today sounding an alarm. Don't think that people don't love you, don't care about you, because there are a lot of stressors, post-stressors, behind the quarantine effect, behind the mask effect, the isolation, the lack of and shortages of certain necessities that the entire globe experienced. The mail slowed down. You and I both know, without me going through all of the things that were affected, everything was affected, and it has affected the mental health of our communities, of our students, of our family members, members of the church, pastors, and everyone. So let's come to terms with that. We have a problem. We have an issue, but it's not a problem that there's not already a solution. You see, God sees the end from the beginning, and because he sees the end from the beginning, he has already made a way of escape or a way out for you and for me. So what is that way of escape, and how can we tap into it like a Joshua generation and overtake the things that we're trying to overtake us? First of all, we must take a deep breath. It sounds so simple, but it's so solid. Take a deep breath, release, let go. I've been teaching people to breathe, breathe, breathe, count for eight, take it in, let it out for eight, and then wait for eight. Take it in, let it out for eight, and then wait eight, and do that three or four times until you feel your body coming back into a relaxed state. It is necessary, highly necessary, to get into that place so that you can relax again. Your body is so tense that it's causing sickness and disease. You're feeling aches and pains in areas where you didn't feel aches and pains before because all the toxicity mentally that came with the quarantine, the isolation, the mask, the fear, the faith stuff that came in the midst of all of that has caused problems and issues mentally and emotionally and psychologically. So I am here as pastor coach, not as an MD. I'm not qualified to do that, but by experience and as a pastor, as a coach, and as a counselor, I can tell you therapeutically that breathing will help you to relax, release, and let go. Even MDs need this. Even JDs need this. People need to relax and let go. There are people that you call on the phone right now. They're like in a hurry to go nowhere. The tech support is a nightmare for most of us. Even calling for utility companies. It's difficult to deal with people from every walk of life. And it's like people don't really want to help you on the phone because they're stressed out. They're overworked and underpaid. Yeah. So there's a lot of stressors out here. So I am here today to simply let you know if you have not been aware of it, be aware. People are still under stress. People are still hurting. And they need our help. So let's do what we can to help them. And maybe you can pass this on today. Tell them to take a deep breath, to get quiet, get still, that life is going to be alright. I'm Dr. Faye and this is Faye's Alive in 5 and I'll see you next time.
