“Hard core” jazz piece dedicated to the legendary saxophonist John Coltrane. Allégorie offers a metaphoric commentary on the piece “Love Supreme” composed and recorded by Coltrane towards the end of his life. The construction of the piece is based on multiple variations of a repetitive rhythmic motif written in a seven-beat meter. The melody serves as a link between the three sections of the piece and each improviser freely explores a harmonic pedal on the note E.
