Patrons Vision 2024

The speaker welcomes everyone back to school and expresses hope for a great year. They believe that the students have great potential and wants them to fulfill that potential. They emphasize the importance of challenging themselves and each other, and leaving a legacy. The speaker encourages everyone to give their best and aspire to be number two. They remind the students that they are in the right place at the right time and should give everything they have. The goal is to leave the house in a better place than they found it. Hello everyone, I trust this message finds you well. Firstly, I want to welcome you back to school and for those of you who are new, I also extend a great welcome to you and I hope you enjoy your experience here at Shizing Senior School. But more so, I hope you enjoy being part of this wonderful family, being part of this great team of our patrons. I just want to share with you what I believe the year holds for us and also how I believe each and every one of you can contribute to that. I sincerely believe we're a great house. I think that we have so much to contribute as individuals and I also believe that we've never really been tested. We have such great potential and I want this year to be a year where we fulfill that potential. I think we can do it. I believe we can do it. If we all put our heads together, put our hands on the deck, we're going to achieve so, so much. So for us, I believe this is a year where we're going to challenge one another, a year that we're going to challenge each other, a year that we're going to challenge ourselves as a house and hopefully a year where we're going to accomplish things that have never been accomplished before. The House Patrons is about vision. So we're standing on the shoulders of other people. We're standing on the shoulders of those who foresaw this day many years ago. And hopefully we can add to that legacy. We can leave that legacy in a better place. That's what I want us to really aspire to this year. Whatever you're taking over, whether you're a leader, if it's a new age group you're moving into, if it's a particular sport or event, whatever it is, leave it in a better place. In other words, do more than what was previously done. Give more. Participate more. Contribute more. Let's achieve more together. So 2024, I want us to move to number two. That is our target. That is what we should aspire to. So in every event, let's have the best athletes, best competitors, stepping forward and giving your best. Whatever roles we're given, let's do everything, everything in our power to achieve the best that we can. We can be number two. It can be done. It should be done. And you are the people who are to do it. I always use this term, or rather this quote, today is the tomorrow we dreamt about yesterday. 2024, as I was looking ahead last year, I saw you. So you are in the right hour, in the right place, in the right time. Let's give it everything. Let's give it our best patience. Let's give it everything. Let's leave the house in a better place than we found it. Good day.
