A brief interview with my older brother Ian.
Blair Sacwa, a senior history major, talks about their brother Ian's recent accomplishment of buying his first home, a condo. Ian shares the story of how he initially lost out on a condo he liked but later got the opportunity to buy it when the first deal fell through. Blair also mentions a disagreement that occurred while shopping for furniture but prefers not to dwell on it. Ian discusses his career aspirations and how he is considering a potential job opportunity that would provide more growth. Blair praises Ian and expresses gratitude for being a guest on the podcast. Hello, hello, this is Blair Sacwa, senior history major, coming at you from my mom's condo in Clarkston, Michigan. With me today, I have my older brother, Ian. Hello, this is Ian, the older brother. Lovely, lovely. We're all curious about what your proudest accomplishment is. Do you have anything for us today? Maybe a little recency bias, I would say I'm closing on a condo recently, which was my first home. So getting my first home I think is something I'm proud of accomplishing. That's very exciting, Ian. Yeah, when I first started looking, there was one condo particularly that sparked my interest and just kind of jumped out at me. I loved it, everything about it, it was very modern. The whole setup, it was very unique, the layout and everything. I had scheduled a tour to go see it the next day, and then on my way there, the broker called me and told me it was sold. So that was probably about a month ago, and then I was touring a separate condo to consider making an offer on, and then after that, I got a call from the broker, assuming it was going to be about that condo, and he told me that the first one fell through. So we went back there, toured it, and funny story, now it is back in my hands, luckily. Now that is some kind of kismet energy, if you ask me. So also, in this fun little story time regarding my brother's condo, we, just today, folks, were at Ashley Furniture Home Store, where my brother found the couch of his dreams, the beautiful dark couch of his dreams, and we may have gotten, we may have started some inner co-worker squabble. I'd prefer to move past the whole thing, that was not what I was hoping to get into. When we went out to look for furniture today, I just wanted to simply maybe look at some stuff, maybe buy a couch, maybe not, just get in and get out, and I'm just going to leave it at that. Okay, we're going to leave it at that, very fair, very not my story to tell. So, moving on from that, very excited for Ian and all he has going on. Well, you know, recently I've found that I might not see much growth opportunity related to the tunnel in my current role, where I've been for about four years now, so I went back on Intune.com, just got my resume out there, and I kind of got aggressively contacted by someone who runs a similar company to where I'm at now, where it would hopefully be a different structure, not a lateral move, but an upward move for me. So, it's just something to consider in the near future that is something to be excited for. I got 100%. 100%, super genius, courted by a company. So, everybody at home, just know that my brother is my hero, and he's killing it at life. Thank you everyone for putting up with me, I appreciate it. I'm very honored to be a guest on this podcast. The host, Blair Sackle, my sister, the greatest and most amazing human being in the world, best sister, best friend, and I don't think I'm going to say any other things, because I think that's about as high a praise as you can get, so I'm going to leave it at that. Blair's the best. That's fair, no opinion here, folks. This is a factual podcast. No opinion, just facts. Blair's the best. You heard it here from my brother.
