I just forgot to announce something very important here. There is a name you have to remember starting today. The name is Cosmin Dan Marica. Now, who is Cosmin Dan Marica? Why do you have to remember that as a church? Cosmin Dan Marica will be your next pastor for next year. This has been announced by the conference. He is a Romanian. He is a Romanian by descent. He will be coming and traveling from Tasmania, Austria. He has been chosen by the Southwestern Conference. After a year of us pleading to set up a pastor, we finally have an answered prayer. The name of the pastor is Pastor Cosmin Dan Marica. We have two children who are teenagers. They will be invited to our church. The two teenager children of Pastor Dan Marica will also be attending our church. Make them feel welcome. They will not be here until January. As you can understand, they are transferring and moving all their stuff and belongings here to Queensland from Tasmania. So when they finally arrive in January, let us make them feel welcome. Both Pastor Cosmin and his wife and also his children. They will be here. He is the Chief Finance Officer of the Tasmanian Conference, SDA, Seventh-day Adventist Conference. When you say Chief Finance Officer or CFO, he is the one dealing with all the mining matters of the conference. So he will be our next pastor. I don't know if it's one year, two years, three years or until probably when Jesus comes. But he is the next pastor for our church. We praise the Lord for that answered prayer. Before our speaker starts, I would like to introduce him. I have mentioned him already. Our preacher today who will give us the bread of life, who will break the bread of life, will be Brother Troy Martin. He is a young member of North Pine SDA Church. He is a very active young man. He has been here in the past. He has delivered a message to us. And he has two children. He is a pastor in Australia with two children. So Brother Troy is in his 30s with two children. So we are so blessed by the Lord that he is here with us to give us and to break the bread of life. May we give him the time of undivided attention. Amen. Testing. I might go handheld today. And if you just forgive me for one moment, I just want to see if this is working properly. It's good. Okay. I apologize for the end. Yeah, but that's alright. I'll be sharing a song later as well. Let's just quickly bow our heads once again for a quick word of prayer. Loving Father, we thank you now for your truth, your words of life that are given to us to impart life to us. For without you we are dead. We are dead in selfishness and sin, but you, through the love of your Son, have promised to resurrect us. So please bring us life through your word this morning in Jesus' name. Amen. Okay. The end is near. We have not a moment to lose. Life is to shine forth from God's people in clear, distinct rays. Bringing Jesus before the churches and before the world. The instrumentalities to be used are those souls who gladly receive the light of truth which God communicates to them. These are God's agencies for communicating the knowledge of truth to the world. It is through the grace of Christ that people will become new bottles. He will fill them with new life. God will give additional life, and all truth will be recovered and replaced in the framework of truth. And wherever the laborers go, they will triumph. As Christ's ambassadors, they are to search the scriptures, to seek for truth that has been hidden beneath the rubbish of error. And every ray of light received is to be communicated to others. One interest will prevail. One subject will swallow up every other. Christ, our righteousness. You know, that's the title of today's message. It's Christ, our righteousness. And that quote or that insert is found in Supplemental Daughters of God, page 259. So, here we are told in the end times, one subject, one great important subject will be the theme, will be the subject, the interest that will swallow up every other, and that is Christ, our righteousness. So I have a question, I have a serious question, but I have one question I'll start with. And the question is, what is righteousness? What is righteousness? I just want you to think, what is righteousness? You know, we have in our minds a concept of what it is. And in essence, we are told Christ is our righteousness. But I want you to think, what is righteousness? There's another really small quote from a little book called Christ, Object Resonance, page 310. And it gives us a definition, a very pertinent definition. It says, righteousness is right doing. And it is by our deeds that all will be judged. Our characters are revealed by what we do. So simply put, righteousness is right doing. And just to affirm this, I want you to open your Bible, please, to Psalm 119, verse 172. Psalm 119, verse 172. And it will communicate to us what exactly is righteousness. Another component, I should say, of righteousness. And the Bible declares, in Psalm 119, verse 172, it says, My tongue shall speak of thy word, for all thy commandments are righteousness. So there are two essential things here that are spoken of. One is kind of a subtopic of the other. But it says, thy word, or more specifically, that is laid throughout the word, are God's commandments. Christ's commandments. Everything that is spoken of to us, from God, are righteousness. Revelation 22.14, I invite you to open up as well to Revelation 22.14. To find out more specifically this component of righteousness, and how it is to be implemented. Revelation 22.14. This is one of my favorite verses, also. It says, Blessed are they that do His commands, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. Blessed are they who hear. Blessed are they who understand. Blessed are they who tell others of. Blessed are they who do His commands, that they may have right to the tree of life, and enter through the gates into the city. So, right doing is righteousness. We can hear, we can understand it, we can read books and have all this knowledge and wisdom in our mind. But unless we practice the right that we understand from the word of God, it avails nothing. So, right doing, we're doing that which is right. So the next question is to kind of break down righteousness. What is right? What is right? For one person, right may be something else for another. But what is the right in righteousness? You know, the definition of right is just, good, and fair. These three elements make up what is right. Anything that is just, anything that is good, and anything that is fair. So with that, there is another word that the Bible uses. It's synonymous to the word right. And it's used especially in the Psalms. And the word is straight. He will make your path straight. The straight and narrow gate. The Bible goes on in many instances where it talks about the straight way. So straight and right, they are one and the same. So what does the word straight mean? You know, we're going straight. Straight to God. The best way to understand the word straight, or the definition of the word straight, is to understand the answer. Understand the opposite meaning of the word straight. What's the opposite meaning of the word straight? Anyone? Crooked, thank you. Crooked. You know, in a figurative sense, not a literal, we know crooked is something that's not straight. But in a figurative sense, what does the word crooked mean? Twisting, right? So if you were to refer to someone and say, oh, that's a crooked person, what does that imply? Not a good person, thank you. You know, you might have heard the term crook. Have you heard that word before? He's a crook. And that comes from the word crooked. Right? Which means not straight. So what does that mean exactly? It means when we are not straight, we turn. Okay? We weave, we turn, we avoid it. We are not going in a direct course to the will of God. When we are crooked, we turn to our own ways, our own will. Right? But God's way is straight, it's direct. What he says we do. That is the definition of the word right, or righteous. Next question. Are we righteous? No. We are not righteous. Why are we not righteous? Only Christ is righteous, right? Only Jesus or God is just and fair and good. Alright? So, we can also answer that question with the question, do we always do that which is right? We try. Right? But oftentimes we fail. Right? Because of sin, as we know, we are crooked. We cannot stay on that direct path. We are corrupt, as the Bible calls it. So, as mentioned, we make mistakes. We fail, we fall, we try. And without that righteousness, we would never walk on the straight and narrow way. We cannot be righteous. But I have another question. Were we ever righteous? Was mankind ever righteous? Were we ever righteous? Or Adam and Eve righteous? Yes. At first they were. Right? They were. But was it their righteousness? No. So, they were clothed. Right? What were they clothed in? Does anyone know? Life. Okay. They were clothed in the light of God, His glory, which is His righteousness. Okay? So, even their righteousness was not their own. Okay. So, I heard someone say this before, but I'll ask again. What happened to their righteousness? It got stripped. It got stripped. All right? It left. It departed from it. All right? And we know, and it's a different subject. It will take me a long time to elaborate, but some of you know sin caused that covering to disappear. So. Noah was a righteous man. Noah was a righteous man. We'll talk about Christ's unrighteousness. Or there's another term that we'll look into a little bit as well. It's righteousness by their attainment. Okay? There's elements in order to attain to righteousness, and we're going to touch upon those. So, I want to just, I'll probably just read these out for the sake of time. But as I mentioned, Adam and Eve's righteousness was not their own. Okay? It was something that was given to them. It was clothed. They were clothed with it. All right? And we know that sin, when sin came, the righteousness of God departed, and they realized they were naked. All right? And they tried to clothe themselves in sickness. All right? And then, obviously, Christ, or God rather, gave the symbol of Christ's sacrifice in clothing us, or clothing Adam and Eve, with what? The skin of an animal. The skin of an animal. All right. The skin of Christ. Christ's covering. I won't get ahead of myself. We'll read out these verses. So, I'll just read these out. So, let's check the first clause, that our righteousness is not our own. 1 Samuel 26-23 says, The Lord rendered to every man his righteousness and his faithfulness. What's the word render mean? Give. Give. Right to empire. So, God renders us. Another one. Job 33-26. It says, He shall pray unto God, and he will be favourable unto him, and he shall keep his face with joy, for he will render unto man his righteousness. Job 36-3. I will fetch my knowledge from afar. I will ascribe righteousness to my Maker. And I want to dwell on this one just for a moment. It says that even when we attain righteousness, which is not our righteousness, it's God's, the righteousness that we receive is to be attributed to whom? God. So, God gives us righteousness so that we may attribute it to our Maker. Right? Psalm 23-3, the last verse I'll read out before I continue. We should know this one quite well. He restores my soul. He leaves me in the palms of righteousness. For what reason? For His name's sake. For His glory. To show people who He is. And it's the same premise of the verse where it says, Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and what? Glorify your Father in Him. So, every single thing that God gives us, which is good, anything in you or me that is of any worth, that is genuine, is not ours. It's a gift from God. And we should attribute that to God, rightfully so. Okay, so if Christ is our righteousness, I have another question to make it more practical. How do we acquire it? How does Christ float us with the light of His righteousness? How does He accomplish that? I just want you to think, just ponder on that question. And while you do, we're going to go and read a little bit more of the Word. Revelations, you can open up with me to Revelation chapter 3, starting at verse 16. So, verse 16 through to 19. And us, you and me, as God's last church on earth to represent, should be very, very familiar with these verses. And I'll show you further in time and time again. And we need to hear them again, because we need to be reminded of where we stand and where we are able to stand. So, I will read from verse 16. So just again, Revelation 3, beginning at 16. It says, So then, because thou art lukewarm, and this is referring to the Last Day Church, the church that we currently reside in. It says, Because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will stew thee out of my mouth. Because thou sayest, I am rich and increased with goods, and have need of nothing. And knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked. I counsel thee to buy of me gold, tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich, and whiter, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear, and anoint thy eyes with eyesalve, that they may see thee. As many as thou lovest, I rebuke and chasten thee. Be zealous therefore, and repent. So let's dissect this a little bit. The question that I asked prior to this was, how do we attain to righteousness? How do we get our clothes back on? I've heard someone say recently, the whole point, the whole story of redemption is for humanity to get their clothes back on, to get dressed again with the glory of God, the light of His righteousness. So how do we do that? So, if we go down through verse 17, actually maybe 18, it says, I counsel thee to buy of me gold. Okay, what does the gold represent? Does anyone know? What does gold represent in the Bible? Wealth. Riches. You know, the tabernacle or the sanctuary would be laced in gold. And gold is very, there's a lot of elements of gold that are significant, but gold is very reflective, and it doesn't corrupt very easily. And gold, in the Bible, represents righteousness, holiness, purity, and it's what we are to reflect the glory of God. Like the candlesticks in the sanctuary, they reflect it, and everything is shimmered and shone, and everything, the jewels, we are said to be God's jewels, and we know diamonds, they don't shine, do they? They have nothing in themselves to give off the light. But what do they do to light? They reflect it. Right? So gold is righteousness, holiness, purity, that it's reflecting from the light of God. Trial is a fire. What is fire in the context of this verse? Sorry? Trial. Exactly. So it is trials. All right? More specifically, it's the trying of our faith through hardship and difficulty. So the trying of our patience. Right? Here is the patience of the saints. Right? So here are they who keep the commandments, which we know, all their commandments are righteousness. Now I'm getting somewhere with this. So the question is, once again, how do we be clothed with the light of Christ's righteousness, with the light of God's righteousness? It is by faith. Righteousness by faith. Okay? So in contrast to this, in the Garden of Eden, going back, Eve doubted God's Word. Right? And they lost their covering. So what is the opposite of faith? I just said it. Sorry? Doubt. Doubt. Yes. All right? So the opposite of faith is doubt. So Eve doubted God's Word. Right? And trusted in another. And therefore lost their faith. And lost, in consequence, in consequence they lost their light, their glory. All right? So, again, once their glory had gone, they realized their nakedness, their sin, their separation from God exposed their true condition without God. All right? Their true condition without God, which is shame, doubt, decay, and eventually death. Once they severed themselves from the source of life. Okay? God is light. Okay? Being connected to God gives us life. When we separate ourselves from sin, the natural consequence, just as a branch separated from a tree, is what? It's dead. Right? That's just the way it is, because God is life. So, I have a couple of quotes here to read out. I'll read out the first one. And it's found in Manuscript Releases, Letter 145, 19 of 2, paragraph 12. It says, We are the Savior's little children. His name is Christ, our righteousness. What has brought in the sinner the change that impelled him to obey the Lord, to serve him with devotion, gladness, self-denial? Faith. Unselfish faith. It is faith that unbars the gates of the soul. How marvelous the transformation wrought in the life when faith opens the door of the heart to the Savior. He who was once soft in God realizes the meaning of the words I drew them by force of a man with bands of love. This affirms what the Bible tells us. We acquire our righteousness by faith. By trusting in Christ to do for us that which we are incapable of doing for ourselves. But it goes a little deeper. It's just one more step in the succession of obtaining righteousness. How do we acquire faith? And the answer is here. How do we acquire faith? I'll give you the answer. It is believing. Believing. Still haven't heard it? If you're in the Word of God, there's definitely one way. But what's in the Word that compels us? It's the love of Christ. It's God's love. Faith of our faith. Faith of our faith. So faith, the reason that we acquire faith is because of God's love. God's love draws us. That's the Bible verse I just read. I, in God's speaking, I drew them by force of a man with bands of love. Can we know the verse? We love Him because He first loved us. So we acquire that faith, that devotion, that loyalty from a love response. Love restores our faith. And faith restores our righteousness. That's why love really breaks through. It really does. When someone sees that you love them, what happens? They love you back. They love you back. There's a reciprocation. There's a love response. And that's the only way that God can really reach you and I. And that's the only way that you and I can reach others. Speaking about those who were this morning in the mission, if people see a genuine love with us for them, in us for them, that naturally draws them to us. If we're there just sporting this and that and the other and sloughing around and sloughing around with Bible verses and truths, without any, what I like to call, a passion for compassion, then it doesn't avail anything. It doesn't penetrate the heart. So faith which works by love, the Bible says. And Elmer might go further. It's faith which works by love and it purifies the soul, which it does. So, I have one more verse that I would like to, sorry, one more quote that I would like to share. Okay, I'll just look on it. And for me, it is the best, the most concise definition of righteousness anywhere in the spirit of prophecy that I have found. And there were more, I could speak for a lot longer on this subject than what she just shared. But this one nails it. And I actually don't, I didn't put here the reference, but I'll show you the file if you search, seek and you shall find, right? It says, righteousness is holiness, likeness to God, and God is love, 1 John 4, 16. It is conformity to the law of God, for, and we looked at this verse, all thy commandments are righteousness. And love is the fulfilling of the law. Righteousness is love. Alright, so what it just said just confirms that, what she wrote. Righteousness is holiness, likeness to God, and God is love. So therefore, righteousness is love. And love is the light and life of God. The righteousness of God is embodied in Christ. We receive righteousness by receiving Him. How do we receive righteousness? By receiving Christ. You know, and it sounds so simple. And it is simple. But it takes an effort on our part. Right, we have to seek out righteousness. We have to seek out Christ. Right, we have to know who He is. We have to study His life. We have to imitate, replicate, duplicate, the teachings that He taught us in His Word. Otherwise, we will not attain that righteousness. We will not be clothed. And therefore, if we are not clothed, we will be naked. If we are naked, we will be afraid, we will be doubtful, and eventually, sadly, we may be lost. So we need to know who Christ is. We need to find out, spend time in the Word of God. And that's how faith is applied, right? Faith comes by hearing the Word. But what's in the Word? It's Christ, from beginning to end. You know, and I encourage you, throughout the day, throughout the week, look at Christ's life. You know, if you haven't already, I might ask, who's read Desire Mages? Who's read Desire Mages? We've got two, two hands, I should say. It is such a good book. This is such a good book. And as you go through it, look at it in the perspective of, you are reading righteousness. You are reading the life of Christ. And it is through His life that we attain to such righteousness. Alright, I'm going to share a song now. I love music, and one of the things I really like about this church, I must say, there are a few things. But I like how musical it is. You know, I like also, you know, the traditional hymns. Actually, I like to call them classic hymns, because the word traditional, you know, can sound a bit boring sometimes, like a really old Lutheran church, or a Presbyterian where they just sing and put themselves to sleep when they're singing. But the word classic means of a certain class, alright, of a higher class, more specifically. You know, and this music is of a higher class. The music in all the other churches, you know, it's emotional, it feels good, but often times it's just imagined, it's needed, and it's empty. Not always, but most of the time. Because I was actually, initially, I was baptized at a Seminary of God church, Pentecostal, years ago. And some of the songs I hear in other churches, the songs I used to sing, cry to, speak in tongues to, and it's good not to have that, to be honest, that's just my personal preference. So, I'll share a song. I write songs. I started about two years ago. I really enjoy doing it. There are about 13 songs now, I think. This is one of them, one of my favorites, so I'll just quickly set up and hopefully share the words of life through songs The car doesn't start, so I'll just keep it on. The car doesn't start, so I'll just keep it on. The car doesn't start, so I'll just keep it on. Who knows what a slipstream is? A plane goes through the air and crashes and it's sort of that thing which controls. Yes, very concise answer, thank you. It is. It's something that pulls us, alright? As something is projected, there's a stream that is pulled and sucks us through the back. So this one's called Slipstream of Your Love and hopefully I can perform it well enough for you guys as we've already known it as. Slipstream of Your Love Floating like a feather in the wind and in the breeze The gust of mouth around me shoots a cold Drifting like a cloud through a loop of the mountains and the trees Where the blowing billows take me to our goal I'm seen in heaven's breath carrying through the candles blue A big blur in the skies with no location to pursue A drift of laptops to let go, I got and gave up Dreaming for a passage in the slipstream of your love Swirls of love by circumstance I bend and twist and turn The highs and the lows that come with such fate Talks about my wisdom seem late to return Longing for the sound to set my journey straight I'm seen in heaven's breath carrying through the candles blue A big blur in the skies with no location to pursue A drift of laptops to let go, I got and gave up Dreaming for a passage in the slipstream of your love Caught up in a physical my spirit's got to rise Higher and still higher is my course I'm sent to calm that busted air where free the eagle flies and catch the current that leads me to the source I'm seen in heaven's breath carrying through the candles blue Guided through the skies with no location to pursue A drift no longer thought to fly no longer thought to fly Just again I'm peaceful as love Travelling on a passage Travelling on a passage Travelling on a passage in the slipstream of your love Thank you. Thank you for our message as we close the program I'd like to invite everyone to stand up as we sing I Will Sing of Jesus' Love in number 85 I Will Sing of Jesus' Love in number 85 I Will Sing of Jesus' Love in number 85 I Will Sing of Jesus' Love in number 85 I Will Sing of Jesus' Love in number 85 I Will Sing of Jesus' Love in number 85 I Will Sing of Jesus' Love in number 85 I Will Sing of Jesus' Love and I don't know for it I will sing of Jesus' Love in the stream where my heart will give me a sign that I might live I will sing his love to me of the death of the heart to death can never know how to live a darkened mind can be made of white as the snow I will sing of Jesus' Love in the stream my heart shall give me a sign that I might live I will sing his love to me nothing good for him I know nothing good does nothing good for my Lord my Lord is one tell me now my love to show I will sing of Jesus' Love in the stream my heart shall give me a sign that I might live I will sing his love to me I'm sorry, that's the word our kind and loving Father, we are so grateful that we are here once again gathered we are here not of our own accord, for if it were up to us, if we were left to our own selves, our own wills, we would be out doing what we desire to do but we are here because we long for your love, we long for your comfort, your joy, your peace and every good thing that you offer those who are faithful and loyal to you and the reason that we are faithful, God, is we know that blessings result from being faithful, we know that life results from being faithful and we know that if we are faithful to the end then we will receive a new life, free from suffering, free from pain, free from the consequences of sin, help us to despise sin, help us to love righteousness, and that is to love Jesus Christ your Son bless us as we depart, keep us in your love and bring us back to safety next week, in Jesus' name Amen Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music
