Baltasar Gracián
Baltasar Gracián y Morales, SJ, a Spanish Jesuit, was a prominent prose writer, philosopher, and a significant figure of the Baroque era. He hailed from Belmonte, a town near Calatayud in the region of Aragon. His proto-existentialist works were highly praised by influential philosophers, including Nietzsche and Schopenhauer.
