Hi there! Welcome to the show. My name is Anna Moore Brahitfield. I'm a bull-headed, wrestling, questioning, grateful daughter of the King of Glory. I'm also an award-winning author, a speaker, and a workshop facilitator, and now I can say I'm the host of God's Power Story, where we connect with God's love through the power of His story. Does God seem hateful to you? Aloof? Do you think He's looking for ways to trick you up? If you want to love being in the Bible, gaining knowledge of spiritual truth, and successfully applying them to your life so that you can have that open, honest, bold, and unconditionally loving relationship with the God of the universe, then you're in the right place. I've created this podcast because I know what it's like to struggle with the story, the application, and even the relatability of the Bible. How many times have we heard that the Bible holds the answers to every question or problem we've ever had? We have questions, right? We've been known to have a problem or two. But the thought of cracking open the Word of God feels pretty daunting. At times I've questioned if God cared at all about what I was going through. Did He see me? Did He even have a plan for my life? It was only when I finally got up the guts to ask Him these questions that I saw His strength, His wisdom, and that unconditional love that seemed hidden from me before then. In this podcast, we'll share stories from the Bible and from everyday life that reveal God's revelation through the Holy Spirit. I might share a story from my own life or interview an amazing guest with a story of God's power in their life that you'll never hear anywhere else. As you engage with this podcast, my hope and earnest prayer is that you'll find yourself looking to the Word with fresh eyes and a renewed desire to discover God's plan for your life. You'll find that the same God who led all the great characters of Scripture way back in Bible time is crazy about you too in life time. In fact, He's been thinking about you all day long. You'll find yourself being on the lookout for the evidence of God's work in your own life. And if that weren't enough, how would you like to be not only open, but full-throttle geek to approach the throne of God? He's alive and well, my friend. He's the same yesterday as He is today. He's on the move for our good through His Holy Spirit and His glory is all around us. We just have to know how to spot it. So whether you're behind a wheel right now, on the walking path, raffling through your closet, or taking one last look at yourself in the bathroom mirror, let's use this time to dig in to God's power story.
