Nothing to say, yet
This video discusses the teachings of Pentecostal and Charismatic groups within Christianity. It suggests that it is important to understand their beliefs and compare them with scripture, as they have a significant influence on many people. The video specifically examines the claim that the Apostolic Gifts, such as direct revelation from God and the ability to heal, are still present and accessible to all followers of Christ. The video encourages viewers to examine these beliefs using the Bible as a guide. In the modern landscape of Christianity, Pentecostal and Charismatic groups alike make up a large percentage of what would be considered by many to be mainstream Christianity. With that being the case, it makes sense to take a closer look at what these groups teach. Most likely you or someone you know will be impacted by these groups and teachings, so you should at least understand their beliefs and be able to compare them with Scripture. At best they have some secondary issues that historic Protestantism would challenge, and at worst, they're teaching generations of people to trust an internal dialogue over the Word of God itself. In this video we're going to look specifically at the claim made by these groups that the Apostolic Gifts have continued and are not only still in operation today, but accessible to every follower of Christ. These beliefs include such things as God giving direct revelation outside of His Word, the gift of tongues being a private prayer language, certain people having the ability to heal. It's always God's will to heal. If someone isn't healed, it is a lack of faith. We're going to look at these and others. So sit back and open your Bible with us as we try to imitate the noble Bereans and search the Scriptures to see if these things are true.
