The study investigated the larvicidal effects of Damiculcas Damifolia and Collisbome Leaf Extract on Felicidae larvae, which are disease-carrying mosquitoes. The extracts were tested in different concentrations, but the results showed no significant difference compared to the control group. Therefore, it was concluded that these extracts do not have larvicidal effects on Felicidae larvae. Dengue is a serious health issue caused by mosquitoes, and finding effective ways to control their population is important. However, this study did not find promising results in using these extracts as larvicides. Good day ladies and gentlemen, today we are going to read the abstract of a study entitled Larvicidal Effects of Damiculus Damifola and Collisbome Leaf Extract on Felicidae. Dengue is one of the health issues that we need to look out for it can be deadly. Mosquitoes, also known as Felicidae, are carriers of disease-causing viruses that wreak havoc on tens of millions of people and domestic animals for ages. Many of the viruses that affect humans share reservoirs with wild animal species, which complicates matters. This study aimed to determine the larvicidal effects of Damiculcas Damifolia and Collisbome Leaf Extract on Felicidae larvae. Damiculcas Damifolia and Collisbome Leaf Extract underwent methanolic extraction using methanol as a solvent and was formulated into different treatments, which are 200, 150 parts per million. The treatments were assayed using World Health Organization guidelines in testing larvicides. The number of dead larvae 24 hours after the application of the treatments was statistically analyzed using ANOVA. Research revealed that there is no significant difference in the larvicidal effects of the experimental concentrations than that of the blank controls. Thus, it was concluded that Damiculcas Damifolia and Collisbome Leaf Extract have no larvicidal effects on Collisidae larvae.
