Laura has traveled and visited various indigenous and ancestral communities. One of these communities was Huayú, where she learned the traditional weaving technique called cana. This technique dates back to the pre-Columbian period and involves creating stylized figures. Laura also learned about beadwork from the Embera community. This craft has been passed down from generation to generation, from mother to daughter. Laura ha viajado y conocido diferentes comunidades indígenas y ancestrales. Una de estas comunidades fue la Huayú, donde aprendió el tejido tradicional llamado cana. Esta técnica viene desde el periodo precolombino y es una expresión donde se interpretan y crean figuras estilizadas. Los emberas reforzaron sus conocimientos sobre el tejido con mostacilla. Esta artesanía viene de las generaciones antiguas, traspasado de madre a hija.
