Laura travelled and met different indigenous and ancestral communities. One of those communities was Aguayú, where she learned traditional weaving called cana. This technique dates back to pre-Columbian times and is an expression where stylized figures are interpreted and created. The emperas reinforced their knowledge of weaving with moscatillas. Esta técnica viene desde el periodo precolombino y es una expresión donde se interpretan y crean figuras estilizadas. Los emperas reforzaron sus conocimientos sobre el tejido con moscatillas. Esta artesanía viene de generaciones antiguas traspasadas de madre a hija.
