Nothing to say, yet
The speaker talks about their desire to be more compassionate, kind, patient, and peaceful, like Jesus. They pray for others to find understanding and ask for God's guidance. They mention their podcast and encourage listeners to read Bible verses for inspiration. They discuss their struggles with perfectionism and doubts about spreading God's word. They mention a book called "How Full Is Your Bucket?" that emphasizes the importance of positive interactions with others. The book has had a positive impact on the speaker's workplace and they recommend reading it. Living by the book's principles can lead to positive changes in one's life and interactions with others. Oh, I'll do anything to lose the fight. I'll try my best, but it just don't get me right. I talk the talk, but I don't want to miss the moments right before my eyes. Somebody with a hurt that I could have taken. Somebody with a scared that I could have taken. But I just can't see that my friend won't let me be. A little more like mercy, a little more like grace. A little more like kindness, goodness, and so every. A little more like patience, a little more like peace. A little more like Jesus, a little less like me. Lord, I come before you today, and I lift each and every person up to you. I ask that you open their ears, their hearts, and their minds, Lord, and that they would come back to you and get discernment and understanding. Lord, I want to thank you. I give you all the praise, all the glory, because without you, none of this would be possible. So thank you. In Jesus' name, amen. Hey there. It's Anna with God's Podcast. I just want to remind you that I put down in the description Bible verses and scripture that I use for each episode that give me inspiration. So please check out the Bible verses and go back to the Bible and read them for yourself. I would like to start today's episode and say it is okay not to be perfect. I fall and I fail each and every day, as I am sure that you do as well, and I struggle and I have doubts because I look at myself and want to be a perfectionist. I want to know things 110%. I constantly am contemplating what I should be talking about in my episodes because I have so many things that God puts on my heart, but I think, is that the right word? Am I spreading God's word? Is that what they need to hear this week? I'm constantly doubting my own self and the faith that God has in me that he puts inside each and every one of us, this spark, this yearning, this ability to want to reach others and do his will. I'm always listening to other podcasts and watching them so that I could learn, but then I look at them and think, I am not as good as them. I could never do what they're doing. Am I really going to reach anybody? But then I'm reminded when I pick up my Bible, I realize what a lie this is, how the devil wants me to believe all those lies, but God tells me otherwise. God reminds me over and over how special and uniquely he made me in his image, just like Psalms 139.4 says. And this is where my episode will begin and why I chose what I'm going to talk about. I was gifted a book from my employer called How Full Is Your Bucket? by Tom Rath and Don Clifton. If you haven't read it or heard of it, I highly recommend you pick it up. It will allow you to take a step back and realize how you encounter others in your day-to-day life. I was so surprised by this gift from my employer because they implement this theory from this book every day of our work life. We even had a staff meeting based around this book and it truly floored me that they lived out this book and the book's theories and how it changed the mood of everyone I worked with. I was absolutely loving it and I wanted in. We only had to take a chapter for the staff meeting, but I decided to read the whole book and let me tell you, it opened my mind. If we were to live our lives out like this book, our lives would change. The people around us would be so different. The little encounters and the exchanges you have with them map out your whole day.
