Rev Delivery Service, founded by three former UC Santa Barbara students, prioritizes sustainability in its business model. Their delivery racers, easily recognizable on campus, use electric scooters and paper bags instead of cars and plastic. The founders are committed to reducing carbon emissions and continuing sustainable efforts in their delivery business. (266 characters) Rev Delivery Service, which launched this year at the University of Washington, built its business model on the foundation of sustainability. The three founders, former students of UC Santa Barbara, were environmental studies majors with a passion for entrepreneurship. Jesse, one of the founders, mentioned to me that sustainability was a crucial factor for them when starting their business, and they made discreet decisions to ensure their goals were met. Their racers are easily recognizable on campus, as they zip around town on electric scooters dressed in purple shirts and carrying large insulated backpacks containing order goods. They also opted to use paper bags instead of plastic. This scooter system is a more environmentally friendly option compared to their competitors like GoPuff or DoorDash, who typically deliver via cars. Reducing carbon emissions was an initial goal they had, and they continue to strive for sustainable efforts in their delivery business. Ali Watson, UW News.
