Will Croft, a co-worker and sophomore at USC, shares his thoughts on working at the Statehouse. He hopes that the experience will enhance his resume and make connections with representatives that could recommend him for law school. Balancing school with work has been manageable as he can work on homework during downtime. The parking situation is his least favorite part, as he has to park on a meter every day. However, his favorite part is witnessing bills being passed and important events for the South Carolina government. Overall, he finds the experience interesting and valuable. Hello everyone, I am here with Will Croft who is a co-worker of mine and also a sophomore here at USC I'm going to ask him a couple questions about what he thinks about working here at the Statehouse To start out. What do you hope to gain from working here? I Hope that working here for as long as I have been will look nice on my resume If I ever want to submit my resume somewhere, I think that the pay pretty much compensates for all of the expenses of mine, I'm not really making any money, but it at least helps out and you meet a lot of representatives here that make connections with and hoping to get into law school and maybe one of them will recommend me Yes, I can definitely agree with all of that For your next question, how how has balancing school with work been? Working here is nice with that because if you're not being asked to do something you can work on your homework here So at least a couple hours a week, I would say you're able to do your homework And we only work 15 hours a week and 30 hours every two weeks, so it's not That much time being spent here and a good majority. You can do your homework And I know you've been working here for About a year and a half now. Is that right? Yeah, you're not so since you've been working here What has been your least favorite part and most favorite part? My least favorite part is definitely the parking situation. If you're a page here, they Don't give you a parking spot in the parking garage so if you're parking here, you have to park on a meter every single day and that gets annoying because if you forget to pay your meter you get ticketed every day to forget and my favorite part probably would be seeing the bills passed firsthand and being there when Big things are happening for the South Carolina government. I think it's really interesting to watch Yes, I can agree with all of that Thank you for answering my questions, and I hope you have a great rest of your day
