A group of friends, Victor, Anthony, and Marcos, have started a podcast called "Last Night with the Boys." They discuss various topics like fatherhood, work, and relationships. They work together at Culver City Honda, with Anthony being the top salesman and Marcos also working in sales. They are open to having guests on their podcast and want to create a welcoming environment for everyone. Marcos has a big family and has experienced ups and downs in his life. Anthony is single and ready to meet new people. Overall, they aim to have a fun and positive podcast. okay all right gentlemen let's get started first episode whoa oh it's always good to me really good you don't drink whiskey like that no i boys i have a wife been married for almost two years already uh i've been out of the game for yeah all about three years sorry ladies and uh i've worked a lot of hours i think well actually all of us were in the same team uh we're in a manager bond of the team and anthony's our top salesman there and marcos is top grocer there and that leaves me and geo so for for you guys out there what he we are all part of the team we have we run under a different manager um i work at honda as well cobra city honda and you know we're on the same team um this one thankfully you know i've been top sales for now yeah you know but yeah i mean i gotta say like we all work good like we all have different like strengths and it's i mean we we work together good that's what he's trying to say and i think that's three right here been working together for about almost two years already and it was nice on and off i know it's about me because i left to nissan but um those are the only people we want to set but i came back i came back with you guys but uh we all work really good together and it was an idea of uh always to make a podcast and it was an idea and we're making it true now you know we're here we're we're here we're we're clear i mean we're proud but it works you know and uh this is the first episode as you can see your little mics right here little tiny mics but i mean uh we're gonna we're gonna okay guys don't worry right 35 bucks whatever i i actually i like them you know it's uh it's somewhere to well you're humble you know you start off from the bottom and you move your way up you know i don't know where the podcast is gonna take us to but uh i don't care i'll be out somewhere we start improving and see everything i'm here with the boys and i enjoy this it's not only gonna be us there's there's a lot more boys out there we have uh milio we have luis we have johnson carlos daniel israel louis they're all going to come into the podcast we're going to come we have a manager we're going to have a lot of people come into this podcast come and go but you know what it's going to start with us three first okay this is a lot this is a lot but you know what i'm gonna add my mic to uh my good boy right here marcos let him introduce himself all right guys all right guys so what's up my name is marco marco lopez so if you want to find me on social media what's up so uh a little bit about me well i also work at kobe city honda um i've been uh up and down there in the sales team right now uh my top competitor is mr anthony over here so my boys started low gotta say that but way up uh we also got a lot to learn including myself down payment we'll talk about that story later you guys will find out but yeah um so we have our ups and downs so like victor has his uh downtime he also has his uptime so like everybody's not perfect but we're learning we're always learning and right here in the boys podcast that's all the boys you will learn a lot of things car business wise too well yeah anything i know a lot about we're gonna talk about that yeah relationship advice you know we're gonna talk about a fatherhood advice single life advice so um uh yeah i the culver city honda been there for a few years now i would say i'm running on year number three i still feel like i'm a green pea honestly three years for me is nothing when you talk to some of the uh veterans 20 years 30 years i'm like whoa 30 years compared to three that's crazy green pea means that you're still really green coming into the sales department you're still really new super new you know but honestly marcos might feel like a green pea but i think he's he's one of our best guys there you know he knows how to hold his girls one of the strongest like for sure you know to hold it nice and strong you know oh man you'll find out a lot about us um and also if you guys need a car let us know we got victor anthony and myself culver city honda culver city honda this is the only advertising we're doing um yeah so i also do have a pretty big family i have uh three kids i would say right now sort of a situation but we're working it out um we're gonna see what happens in the future a lot of ups and downs for sure my life has been even though i don't show it it's been really really like uh when when the boys see me when my friends see me i'm a very happy guy i'm a very energetic guy and i've learned how to hide it because well i'm a man and even though it's 2023 um this is how i've been raised so i leave my one guy once told me these are problems at home when you're out it's a whole different person so when you go back to that place your skin like a snake so for me whatever i'm going through that's not nobody's concerned but mine and i'm just here for a good time and i'm here for a long time but uh yeah i guess me i've been through a lot of stuff relationships kids girls exes breakups um accusements whatever you want to know whatever you want to know let me know oh also age-wise we forgot to add i am 28 years old we don't know how long this podcast made us but one day we might look back and hey remember when we started we were 28 and i was like 54 so uh yeah so i'm 28 years old i'm a scorpio so for all those no wonder uh savvy would be like okay what's their what's their sign i'm a scorpio um i was born the year of the dog for uh no wonder i don't think all the lines are like he has excuses why he's a savage but it's all right we'll hear you oh man i'm telling you man everything just starts to the line um yeah that's a little bit about myself um i'm gonna hand down the torch to mr anthony all right anthony so so hello guys my name is anthony um just want to let you know that i'm really proud to be with this group of gentlemen here because not only have i grown to be a better person being part of Culver City Honda and with them but this is my family man most of the time i'm spending time with them so i got you know my my bigger brother here victor and i got also marco too my my brother too as well a brother from another mother but you know like like marco said man like it's we all we're going to do and like victor said we're going to talk about like life and advice so i got a sugar coat thing because you know what year we're in it's 2023 you know we don't anticipate stopping anytime soon however what i can tell you is that we're here to express a good time and if you're threatened by that well you better join along because it's going to be a fun ride we love filters whatever you guys want to know don't be anything other than shy we're going to share our best expertise and hey if you want to come on the podcast don't be shy i think you should anyone should be sure whenever they can exactly a little bit more by myself i'm 28 years old now i believe in it now i'm a twin i'm the better looking twin obviously i'm better looking twin i agree and i'm that single dude while they ready to meet exactly so hit them up guys marco oh hey i mean girls guys girls whatever you guys want which you know victor and margaret have families each but i'm going to be the the distinction of that where i'm that single person that is right now on a journey i had a relationship a while a long time ago for a long time now i'm finally back in the scene after a good amount of time so i'm ready to see how this stuff goes but more importantly you know i'm ready to see how hit him hit him up and pin there really we're here for a good time good vibes good energy and positive on top of positive so your stress your problems your drama that you have and keep that on the other side because on this world it's a little bit different choose that choose that so open world open buffet whatever you got to say we'll be here all day oh all right i have a question for you guys so yeah started on what you told me woman told me flowers i was a flower type okay i'm gonna start off with that have you received flowers have i received flowers ever received from anybody anybody man woman but it doesn't include family so not your family sisters like one of your girlfriends boyfriends like for my for my ex-girl like before i remember like um i think it was like maybe two or three years it was on our anniversary which she brought me flowers she brought me tulips actually and it was mixed with carnations i'll never forget and i thought it was the weirdest combination but so i got that before how did that make you feel like what are you what's your opinion on i'm getting flowers well look the first thing it threw me out because from working the day i used to work at home depot and i completely forgot that it was our like anniversary like i guess you know like two three years which i quickly remember man forget we got two three years okay we always got guards to where i mean it's not nice i'm not gonna lie like i was like it was kind of i mean i didn't let them die like she let her flowers die but still so do you think it's um did you feel good or do you feel like you know what because for me i do not remember receiving flowers i may have a long time ago but you never got her flowers before i may have but to be honest i don't really pay attention to that because i feel as a man um we're supposed to be a little bit more cheesier like give the flowers to ladies give them chocolate give them gifts or not gift cards but like writing your cards oh i love you baby or hey it's all a lot um gifts i feel like we should give them gifts and in return we just give us love affection attention yeah love in the sack i mean uh love love that's that's crazy you say that because uh that i i think about it and uh and i you know what i don't think i've ever received flowers either you know i received chocolates actually my wife for valentine's day she gave me chocolates yeah you know i've received chocolates but i don't think i've ever received uh flowers ever in my life flowers and i mean i wouldn't be you know negative about receiving flowers i wouldn't feel no way i'll feel happy to what's the craziest thing you guys ever got from your lady like perfect moment right like like jim carrey what movie was it where he's like i'm gonna read it and he's trying to leave and they're just like you're like what no joke um weirdest which is like no just like no honey uh maybe not but i mean you could say unique but more so like the most like expensive or the craziest thing you ever got like whoa my wife right now she's been getting me some i mean she got me she actually got me that uh gopro right there no she got me that gopro and then she got me uh vacation five it's uh like those gopros that you could like uh talk on it and then oh actually you know can you push the button right there on top of it this one yeah that's nice push it up push push it up oh there you go oh i'm sick coming out just push it hard dude i just uh oh where was it made in china taiwan not here she actually got me uh the pictures in five two she got me for valentine's day my birthday because she got me and uh that's a big um my wife now that she she does a lot she gets me socks she throws away all my old socks right and even though i get maxed out i keep my old socks for a very long time i don't know why and my my boxers the ones that have holes they're my lucky boxers she throws them away she gives me new boxes oh and then if you have a hole it's lucky yes i had some very lucky boxers favorite boxes i had and she threw them away and she's like but i got you new ones i was like i don't that's funny like old like um an old like a beat up like sleeping bags that my father used to use when i was a little kid dude i keep that my place it's all fucked up like this is part of the zipper but i keep it clean it like the new is something about it man yeah i think it's just i'm not sure if it's just me but um i like keeping old things that have uh a good memory of like a nostalgia feeling yeah so that's why that's why i i have a lot of things in my little in my closet i always i always like like in like a little box well lady if you didn't watch it you want to make your man happy don't don't throw it away don't throw it away for sure but i always have these stuff i like to hold on to um maybe like a toy that i play with my brothers or pictures i like taking pictures if you know me i like seeing pictures and uh one of my friends actually best friend his name is jesus to me his soul rest in peace he passed away a couple years ago and um he every time he used to go out he would uh always say here comes victor with his camera here comes victor with his camera taking pictures all the time you know yeah and that's me this is me you guys know me i take my camera i like taking pictures if you guys go through my camera my phone i have like thousands of pictures all the time you know i like taking videos like taking pictures this is why i wanted to do this because i have the setup he does i have a setup which is actually right now this is just like a simple setup i have more stuff i want to do to progress and make us better you know look at michael look at michael's in this we're gonna hook him up man i have low key um my boy asked me to put me on something beat i have beats but i don't know why it didn't cross my mind but next episode i'll bring my beat to my i was trying to get some like some bows but they're so expensive which these are these for the price i'm not sponsoring my lease but i'm just saying these are good no worry i got my playstation 5 headphones actually these are my son's headphones that i have take away but i want to go ahead and buy some new ones you know i want to have some new ones we're going to have better mics we're going to have better equipment but right now we're starting off and this is how we're going to start off because i want to go back and two three years hopefully we're still doing this we're still alive and you know god willing uh we are just have this hopefully we're still alive we have better equipment we're still gonna be here two years later he's talking about 10 years 13 years in the future which i know that there's an equipment that there's a box i want to buy that they know that i want to use which is really good for podcasting and we're going to buy it but right now we're just what is it called a road test system broadcast there's two of them there's two of them that because we're going to have a lot of gas guys we're going to have gas after gas we'll have extra microphones extra headphones extra everything for everybody to come on okay but yeah so uh this is just to start and this is the beginning of something new right yes sir yeah this episode is all about getting to know each other right so you know let's go let's go a little deep okay so i know victor doesn't like when it comes to alcohol right there doesn't like whiskey so not a big whiskey you seem like 10 right it's like they like white like stuff like well back in 2020 i believe it was where you got traumatized hey i got traumatized i was with my friend roxy roxy uh and uh jocelyn it's all jocelyn's fault because she's the one that not measured me oh no not his sister but he pressured me to drink and i got so drunk that my cousin daniel had to come pick me up and take me to his house i threw well actually the girls there's a video the girls picked me up uh they were holding me dragged me into my my cousin's car my cousin drove me to his house when he was doing a bond party and i was throwing up throwing up i don't remember so much and then thankfully his wife evelyn who was helping me and his son dominic was helping me with the bag and i was drunk in the back while danny was in the corner going he couldn't he couldn't handle i mean i get it i get it but uh yeah and then i went to his house slept in his house i threw up all over his couch i had thrown away his couch this is all from drinking i don't know what i was drinking i was drinking tequila i was drinking the 1920 or 1942 that the expensive bottle and i was drinking beer and i was drinking kind of stuff but i got so drunk you were making stuff i mixed a lot of things never well i learned my lesson but since that i haven't since that i haven't got drunk i haven't got like so drunk because uh that was like the worst force fitting i could ever ever experience to be honest with you guys and i think there he goes with this triple shot right there look at this guy that's a big ass man okay let me grab it i have a big ass hand the people that know me you know my hand is huge hey you know what i think give me another one of these i want i want one of these i'm down so you can put that down a little yeah look at that okay so then marco what are you two are you do you discriminate i'm not sure do you like uh you like tequila oh that is i think recently i've been going into whiskey recently i started off i started off uh tequila for sure but recently i've been drinking more whiskey i've been drinking uh so funny story um i also did get super drunk after drinking on jack damn it but whatever do it again i'm crazy like that bro like you see me i'll take one for the team and then the next day so i still remember it was at uh my friend's party it was uh many many years ago i was uh uh it was my friend suzy she had a uh a nice little kickback shout out to me um yeah so and all my boys were there um my boy jonathan uh it was suzy her her family um my other friends jonathan monokeen uh no no no sorry and uh it was many people everybody was there but it was good enough and we were just we were just drinking it up like no work no nothing so hey we're off the next day uh we've been crashing the couch or whatever so and we took ubers there too so we weren't even driving we were like this was here or no this was in uh in northridge yeah yeah so we were we were uh well she had bottles and bottles and drinks seltzers smirnoff beers i've been to i've been to a party with this guy i've been to a party with marco before and they they don't play like literally they don't play bro no no and it's funny because their parents that like who was that it was old school in their 40s and 50s 40s and 50s though they're all like hey like in spanish yeah no it's true i was taking my boy so are you white girls we don't bother we don't so we've gone and then we started taking shots beer pong beer pong and when i started getting you know in the zone i started smoking when you see the foam you get in the zone so then i was uh i was drinking it up and next thing you know i was like oh damn i'm pretty hammered and i remember the biggest that biggest bottle of jack daniels did you guys get some liquor store that big one i see that's the one we got and we killed it yeah we just i mean between everybody but still that was it that was a pretty good amount of shots so jack daniels this campaign so i just i got you know from the start i threw up in the in the backyard well here's here's my question for you too like okay so whether you take tequila or jack i mean there's always gonna be a stronger brand like what is like why is it that some people are like okay let me need a good vodka like that's a good chaser but then when it comes to tequila they're like oh let me get a squirt can or it's like what is it what is it like the proper chaser to take like they're like okay this is gonna set up i mean i don't think chasers so i don't know if there's no proper chasers i think it's just whatever you like you know to uh kill the taste because it's jack daniels has a very messy thing i tequila anything has a very nice yeah you just take it just because you're at the moment you're drinking you're with your friends and you're like let's just take it and after you take you like but whatever you know you take it just to have fun you know yeah and uh and the but the other part is taking shots shots shots actually 1942 is a very very smooth uh tequila you take one shot and it's like it goes down pretty good that's how i was able to take a lot have you guys ever heard of a tequila car right here yeah right here that's all right so so right here so right here is the tequila that's made before um the fermenting process where now well at least before the machine touches it right everything's natural so you see bubbles that come up with tequila at least uh from my parents and well my mother she lives in this place called hola hola guys you guys gotta talk a little bit closer to the mic so you can hear the mic gotcha gotcha can you know okay no so you need to bring this mic a little closer we're still learning guys you're learning with us how's it sound it's close okay okay so the the idea what they do is before you ferment it it starts bubbling right and it's it's agave tequila and instead of having to be normal like this sort of alcohol where you can swivel in the cup and then you see it like it's like water right it's actually like syrup so it stays attached to the to the lips of the glass and it slides down slowly now that that tequila is so strong that when you drink it down it's smooth and you can't even like taste the you don't taste initially the alcohol so it hits you and then like after like five ten minutes of you letting it sit down you think you're okay the minute you stand up like the movement of your stomach and the tequila for whatever reason are we still talking about tequila at this point yeah yeah yeah you get you just get discombobulated like you you get confused it's like very strong it makes your question have you ever smoked a cigar without doing anything just smoked a cigar and then after you're done smoking a cigar you you try to get up and everything starts spinning so not a cigar but like like i want to say like a like a swisher no no i have the same feel like a place but i was with i was with a couple of my cousins and uh whenever whenever i was in and uh i smoked a cigar and i don't know what the hell happened but they all went into the they all went into the room to their her house and then i was in the backyard holding on to a pool and i was like literally the whole world was spinning i don't know what it was i was like after that i don't know like smoking cigars anymore you know what i've done before so i remember like i was so and i used to smoke a lot when i was younger right so i remember i went to a shop and they gave me like a bit of like crumble you know what crumble is um no no so crumble is wax but the type of the way they make the wax it's like little like like it looks like bread crumbs so we we're so broke we bought a swisher me and my boys and we opened the swisher we ripped it apart and then we took away half the tobacco we spread the rest of the half and we put crumble on the top and then we rolled it back up so i kid you not we smoked it and then like when we're done it was like waves hit us and we were like giving them that when we started throwing it so that sounds pretty interesting but i don't know if it was the tobacco or it was the weed or the combination all right guys so back to uh we kind of you know bailed off the before we go everywhere but if we go uh can you shake your mics make sure it's green it's green make sure you guys higher the volume why is why is mine yours is um yours is yours is yours is blue yeah you can change the color just hold it but what do you mean hold it like this so you hold it like this and it'll change to blue uh it's interesting okay so one question and uh i guess i'll start with anthony uh yeah sorry all right what's one thing you have regret in your life and why wow regret oh my god that's deep um okay so i guess maybe not buying bitcoin i kid you not when i was in middle school i had to do that i was a good regret some dude told me about bitcoin and i wasn't like i wasn't a laptop person i was thinking about doing other stuff like graffiti i wasn't after that i was an asshole when i was younger but if i wasn't doing that like man like it would have probably changed my life like lives around me at the time it was like i think 13 or 15 cents for bitcoin and it was such a weird process to buy it it was weird i was just like well you didn't understand but exactly yeah it's like we don't understand how much bitcoin is yeah we don't know what it is so we don't really trust it so we really buy it you know yeah we don't really do it do anything and then we're like oh crap we shouldn't have done it okay mr bitcoin marcos what's one thing you regret in life and why oh god um honestly not always but i do reminisce about this every so often especially when i have a lot of time to myself to think i'd say probably not pursuing the dream of becoming a police officer like i said not always but there's times i think of it what if i did what if i wasn't a salesman what if i was a cop would i still be here if i was a cop like living because it's a very dangerous job super dangerous of course um i was in the lapd cadet when i was younger i was there for quite a few years and then uh i moved um locations from granada to granite i started working i didn't have a ride anymore so i had no choice but to drop off because the only other way i could make it to my meetings was honestly with a car not even the bus because i didn't care about buses or bikes or skateboards or anything but the problem is and it's a big i think the problem is that i just didn't um i couldn't actually when my dad was late and the urgency got off was four our meeting started at four but the latest i got into work was six the earliest we got out of our meetings was like 5 30 or six jesus so like yeah what happened my officer was like hey we can transfer your locations and keep going close to a parking lot and honestly when you're with the cop it's like a family you don't want to leave you're like honestly i i wouldn't be able to do it you know like i see you guys as family you've gone everywhere picnics events theme parks restaurants hikes and you've done every single thing with them and then you just have to cut off and start it again but like you know what i feel like i was there for like four years i was like you know what uh i'm just gonna stop i'm gonna retire i understand um it is what it is i mean we're not going to do your graduation because you dropped off i understand okay and then um so i hit 20 and a half years old and at 20 and a half years old you can apply for the um so i put in my my situation and i had the email congratulations congrats you put in your resume right uh yeah i put in my application the situation yeah that situation so then i hate congrats you got accepted into the uh into the expedited program so in order for you to join the le3d academy it's a six-month process during that process you pass every single hurdle you'll get accepted into the academy with the expedited process it's literally only 10 days so if you pass this 10 days you get accepted into the academy and i was like no is this a joke so there's no way so i called um i called the the number uh for one of the police officers like the recruiter or whatever and i was like hey um i just want to make sure this is legit like 10 days like yeah like you should be you should be happy not everybody gets it and i was like so so when do i start it well like this is your start date follow the instructions blah blah blah blah so it was legit it was legit 10 days if i pass everything i'm into the academy i didn't have to that's pretty good so i started the process and i was doing good i passed the physical i passed the medical i passed the uh the essay was difficult it was stressful was it more about like street knowledge was it more so like the essay they ask you a few questions and you have to answer them so they'll ask you what will you do in this situation what if this happened what have you done in your life that makes you qualify for this i forget exactly what but they ask you different questions and you have to answer every single question in one essay yeah one wait one essay is with five paragraphs right it was i believe it was only like four paragraphs it was intro uh the body but you're already an essay anyway so uh i forgot exactly it was on 28 was what eight years ago i i don't remember much but um yeah so they ask you all these questions and you have to answer every single question in their essay and the the cops will read it the three teachers and if they if they feel like you passed like you're being honest integrity this and this and that if it makes sense you're just not suggesting them the you'll move on so we had two hours for that essay and you're like oh two that's not bad piece of cake a few words i think i mean like four bro sure for real those two hours felt like 10 minutes kid you're not i was like two hours on my freaking life oh like damn so and and then i just memories started coming memories it's time to help an old lady just to use that to save my dog from a car accident using that everything started coming to my mind i was like damn it's like it was meant to be right and that my hand was just moving it was just moving and i was just you know and oh they say you can go a little longer it's no problem but you know make sure that you explain the question correctly so boom i did everything we could that's what i wanted oh i had like 10 minutes to spare and boom so i passed where i got stuck was one of the final two the last one they assign you a detective to do a background check so you pass your background check you go to the final stage which is i forgot what you're basically in so um in order to to start that you have to print out a packet fill it out for the detective and they start investigating so a packet would they get a little freaking situation family uh yourself where you are where you live um if you work what car you drive every single detail about you your family your criminal history if your family has been criminal if so what are things so this is minimal or federal or whatever every single thing you want to know everything everything don't know everything it's very like you give yourself to the government pretty much so i know everything and anything about you and so this was a problem so during that time i remember the the officer was helping me so i think it's gonna be a little difficult because we updated our website so where you normally access the packet it's an old packet it's no longer valid you have to go through this link that's under this paragraph and then you go to this other link will take you to the packet it's a little confusing so just make sure you don't procrastinate and you as soon as you get home you start looking for the packet it's a little confusing some of our officers also have trouble looking for it i was like okay and i got home i was lunch i was tired i took a nap i ate dinner i took a shower and then it was like 11 o'clock at night i was like damn i was like i need to get to the situation and then i couldn't find it i couldn't find it couldn't find it i was so mad i stayed awake for like two in the morning i still couldn't find it i had to be up at five so much sleep so they didn't send you at all so you were waiting for the the approval or the application they didn't send it and you're trying to reach out to them for the approval or that no i reached out to my officer he told me he told me i followed the instructions but i don't know if i was just being stupid or if i were double-tapping it but i wasn't going to do it so i gotta follow the is this why you are a salesperson now because you see it like can you let him finish the damn story if he finishes the story then i answer your question so i i get to freaking uh oh you know what i'm just gonna print like i i'm gonna show up i won't just not show up no comment show that's not me if they fire me that's fine but i'm not gonna show up and and just be afraid that's not me so i printed out the packet that he told me not to but i still did it and then i filled it up as much as possible i only woke up at 4 30 in the morning i had to be out of the house at 5 30 i left at 5 45 for five minutes so i had to come over to downtown l.a and then um and the meeting started at 7 you have to be there 10 minutes early so you have to be at 6 50 i was in fact meeting at 7 but whatever that means i was like running and running and running i made it and i filled it up as much as possible i didn't fill out every page but i just fill up too much to my knowledge so i showed up they were calling us one by one and we started with a huge class of like i don't freaking know maybe 200 applicants 100 maybe 75 it was a lot from 200 to 100 to 75 i don't know what to do it was a lot of things i think i remember it was like it was a big-ass class okay it was a big-ass class and then that final day there was only like 12 more that final day and um so we were going alphabetical and then the ones who who passed they sat back down the ones who were like they got escorted outside the room so two people left so it was 10 of us now and they called my name hey lopez marco i go to them hello and i present the package like hey there's not gonna cut it it's not the one it's this is that and it's short and she went on the computer and she found it i was like i did that and i couldn't find it like what's going on but i'm sorry but instructions instructions this is this is the entry and it broke my heart i was like no don't tell me that and she's like but don't worry you can reapply in one year i was like one year oh i was so devastated it was like the biggest failure i ever felt and i'll be okay this is fine this is if i was going to get let out this is the way i'm going to show up and get fired then no call no show so i went home i was no okay i was crying in my car for a bit and then i'm like but anyway you know what guys men do cry yeah no man do cry yeah i was devastated but it sounds like it was something that you wanted to be part of you put your life and and and love into it and something you're hoping for you to be part of you were hoping to be attached to that so of course it's okay to cry about you being upset about something you want to be a bigger part of a bigger picture with as well but my follow-up question is that's like what put you into the art industry what made you say hey you know what this is better no so that was in 2015 i believe no so um i started doing uh other stuff right i was uh i was in a grocery store for a minute and then um one of my my color one of my oh like that so one of my good friends from this uh church i attended you attended church oh yeah i know right freaking that's a whole nother story but uh yes holy smokes i was playing when i was like what's going on um my church buddy was like hey can you open this up for me oh he didn't say that he said hey um can i get some can i get the wildlife can you let him finish the story okay sorry marcos go ahead finish he was like i went to north hollywood toyota and i was like okay try to get a car nothing really uh appealed to me but like whatever so i was like he was like hey have you ever thought of being the carpenter i was like i never really thought about it i was like sometimes um where is it that i'll sell cars to make money easy you know i was like yeah i'm kind of down so i procrastinated like a little bit and then i hit a month like i'll be damn i'm tired of being broke i felt broke like working at the grocery store's minimum wage at that time was like eight bucks uh i was taking home like 200 bucks a week because it's weekly pay but 200 bucks yeah it's 200 bucks when you're fresh out of high school whatever well 200 bucks is a lot of money i'm fresh out of high school yeah a week but that's what 800 bucks a month yeah you don't count on the amount of what money you ain't paying rent that's for sure you learn it more money more problem i mean the first thing i thought was my first picture was like oh what shoes am i gonna buy wow this is really how this is low compress everything else that's understandable yeah and then i was like you know what eventually like i got my own fly everything like bills started coming up um and i was like you know what um i need i need to focus on a career and i was like you know what am i gonna pursue the car business or am i gonna pursue the police officer situation and i was like well i still got time i still got like six months i'm gonna start this car business thing if i like it cool if i don't like it whatever i'm just gonna reapply to the police so i hit on my boy got an application got me an interview and boom i got hired green pea fresh off the pot green pea green pea i didn't know chorizo nothing nothing those are the bad bro okay so you'll put me together in a heartbeat you know lay down over me so i i was a massive way down and then uh i started laying down for you guys that means i whatever it is i'll tell you just say yes i'll take it i'll take it i'll take you and uh yeah so they i got into the car business that was doing all right it wasn't the best probably the worst either i started off my first month it was only five cars because i still do half a month so if it was a full month i was taking like 10 cars which is not bad for the first month second month i did eight cars and then third month third month i did 12 cars fourth month i did uh 12 cars again and then fifth month um i was uh i don't need to like five i don't know what's going on with me that month but oh that's when i was um thinking about going back to the police officers situation the academy yeah so things happened um a whole freaking situation with no ho happened so i quit i quit and then i went into construction for many years been a lot of construction construction ac uh installer i was doing clean team i was doing um they go mexico in construction yeah pretty much i wanted to do that that floor thing pavement i was in the pavement that was i was going for a nap room for a tile i was doing tile for the house roofing oh yeah roofing i did roofing too everything bro i i remember i built a house from scratch with obviously with my team uh we we do you still know how to do that though yeah probably not but it's it's like if i if i go back with a company in united caribbean then i'll remember yeah but uh yeah we built a whole house a back house uh we built a whole like thing as hell um oh right here we live with covina um there was a pay the sewers we painted that a job like that it's like super like labor intensive right it's very labor intensive very labor intensive right yeah very so it's it's it builds muscle so so here's my question to you how much of a team was it was it like did did you guys have to take multiple roles just on your own or like it was a bunch of it was um so the supervisor basically just oversaw everything he was the guy with the performance exactly um we had with the pacement it was like 50 of us um or more there was like 100 of us and they divided us into a group of like 25 and then we all tackled something so um and i remember my first pavement job was an apartment complex it was like we can't even see you it was like 12 of us maybe he's still here it was like 12 of us but uh but i'm kind of drifting off from the top yeah so you know like it's okay it's okay guys because here we can talk about anything yeah like so whoops no keep on going yeah so keep on with your long story i did construction and everything and after that i um many many went by and then i started uber and then fedex delivery uber uber driver uber driver and then those were some interesting times and i was a fedex driver i was going to uber and then after fedex my boy said hey come to honda um and so i started the car business for a bit and uh pedro uh i don't think you remember they call him berkeleys no perkeleys because he used to go that was him chile pedro so he's able to the car business bro like what are you doing at fedex like you're not mad for fedex like screw that i like fedex that's cool today bro for serious i mean you know what what's the worst that can happen better better delivery book yeah i know so i got a job at honda y'all in the honda hell honda cover city honda that's where we're at believe it or not that story was his question is what did you receive i do gotta say this is something that is an insight from someone else's life because you know what you don't get this too much from no one else some people might say hey is it good for me to be a cop is it good for me to be a pig i mean is it good for me to be a fedex person everyone is a little bit different well that's crazy because uh i actually want to be a cop too i want to be a sheriff i want to be as a pd and tell them why i do why you want to be a cop where did you start i started off i started working at security uh kaiser and ballpark and i was security at uh saint jude medical center and i like wearing the uniform i like being the authority i like being all that stuff you know to this day i wanted to be a police officer so right now i want to be a police officer but um from 18 till now i got in trouble and unfortunately i cannot be a police officer i got in trouble with the law i got arrested that's gonna be another uh episode another day i got arrested and i was in jail for like two days and um because of that i can't i can't be a police officer i do have to do some things to remove the expunge and to uh to see if i could be a police officer but may i ask a question uh let me finish first like let us finish first anthony as you can know i'm probably with the ladies he doesn't let him finish first you know just kidding he's ready for another episode i'm just following with something different anyways um because i got in trouble i'm not able to be a police officer and honestly that sucks because for the longest time whoever knows me who knows me on this podcast uh knows that i always want to be some type of law enforcement and uh fortunately i wasn't able to so i am here working as a salesman and making money and i'm able to pay for this place right here i'm able to do all kind of stuff i think my wife works in the in the in the um same industry so she makes pretty good money and thanks to her i'm able to you know live my good dream you know and i love you that's beautiful you know what i want a shot with you i'll take a shot with you yeah not too much but a little bit like i'm a i'm a i'm a pussy but whatever look i gotta say like you are what you eat victor is definitely a pussy this guy is that what they call him such a dickhead i'm like i gotta tell you this is my brother and like i love this guy because 100 from day one aside from from the we just have a guy that used to work with named daniel victor was the guy that said you know what he he just accepted me like a brother right off the bat he gave me the open heartedness which i mean you guys are going to see fully going through on some episodes this guy this this this is a man's man this is someone that if you aspire to be anyone you will aspire to be yourself but a greater man okay well from the start i gotta say from the start when you came along i saw you and he still doesn't like team dark you know i'm just saying i accepted you and i saw you as my little brother and i said you don't want to take care of this guy i do give you advice i teach him how to do things and that was for the boys that was good yeah that was good all right remember guys this first episode we're going to talk a lot about us a lot about us after this send in questions submissions anything you guys want to talk about anything you guys want to ask ask we're probably going to wait in episode number two before we get to dm so we're just going to come up with play storms it's been it's been one hour already one hour of live talking can you believe that it's just maybe how we can just start talking and we just can't okay so victor we're finished with your story but i know like it's funny how you it's not funny but i think it's intriguing and actually funny because it's kind of crazy how in a small world you have a lot of um congruency with how marco wanted to be an officer now what swayed you to kind of follow that pathway as well but you know what happened well one of my biggest regrets i have in life is not pursuing being a police officer and not only that but not going to college you know um 100 i want my son to go to college but one of my biggest regrets was uh not knowing what to do after high school what type of college i could go to i went to bond park high school i was raised in raised and san garo valley i lived in west carina bond park i live in hudson heights la fuente and um this has been my hometown you know i live in pomona too in chino but not as long as i live in this area but um uh after high school nobody really gave me guidance to what to do after high school i kind of i kind of just did my own little thing you know um i had an uncle then his name was uncle my uncle david and he wanted to be a police officer so he kind of like him you know you need to do this too you know you want to do this he showed me how to be a security officer i became a good security officer i think i got comfortable being a security officer and i regret not being the best security officer i could be because i know i could be the best i did get promoted to be a supervisor to manager to managing accounts and stuff like that but i know i could have done better and i know i could have gone i could have gone further than that you know uh but my biggest regret is uh not being um sharp not being uh not being 100% with my work you know and i think it affects me now because as the car business i know i could be a 18 20 25 car guy you know and i have hit those numbers it's just that uh sometimes it's just you know the car business comes and brings you down you know not only that but it's just you know the right flame to the people that understand why why does it bring you down like what makes it difficult that's like is it emotional is it dimensional what is it there's a lot of factors you can take into it it's emotionally it's physically sometimes you get you get to work and you're just like i don't really want to do anything it's crazy because when you get to work sometimes you're like i don't want to sell shit i'm not gonna talk to nobody and you're just kind of walking by and the customer's excuse me can you help me and they're like no i don't want to help you and then you start helping them and you sell a car yeah you're like oh crazy you just went like a very large oh when you don't want to sell a car you sell about two cars that day or three or three when you're hungover you sell three for sure when you come hungover 100% you sell three cars it's the craziest when you do not want to sell a car you can't people you're not even looking for uh oh and turn off turn off the light yeah when uh you look when you're coming from being too drunk and you are are just chilling you um um just hold it hold it hold it when you come from being drunk when you don't want to work when you don't want to do anything that's when you actually stop cars work but you know it's so crazy when i come to work and i'm so pumped and i just want to be like i want to sell a car today yeah i don't know shit to be honest like to those listening in that are not part of the auto industry it's very difficult because we're almost like people's therapists we got to deal with their drama 100% we got to deal with their their their objections we got to do it like oh well very mental very mental point yeah very mental to the point where we ask them why did you come in today and then you also got the upper management where they're always like attacking us like they're our own car sound would like there are it sounds bad like there are flavors okay but at the same time it's an exaggeration but it's uh but if we as the middleman we have to deal with everything no matter what it all comes falls right under us well we're gonna save this talk for episode two for uh episode one
