I would like to hear you develop the ideas a little more. For example at 00:59 you're onto something interesting, but you return to the opening sequence at 01:28. One suggestion would be run a bit longer with the idea at 00:59 and perhaps work to you D major key change from there rather than returning to the first sequence so soon. I am by no means a trained music teacher but these are some thoughts. Sounds great-do some more!

Hi Zesk! Firstly I did enjoy you piece. At the opening the melody in C major sounds angelic. You appear to be working through the I iii IV V chord sequence in C major. It becomes full bodied at 00:31. Then there's a delightful modulation from 00:59 where you start in iii (Am) and go to Emaj instead of the expected Em. This adds interest, especially the syncopation and funky grace notes! The key change to D major at 01:59 gives it a further lift, and the coda after this is peasant. Part 2 next...
