The speaker discusses the revival of Dungeons and Dragons (D&D) and mentions that adults who were into D&D as kids are now getting media that represents their interests. They attribute the popularity of D&D to old cartoons being made into movies, including new Dungeons and Dragons movies. They also mention that Stranger Things has played a significant role in bringing D&D into the mainstream. The speaker suggests that while some people in the room may have been introduced to D&D through Stranger Things, many others have friends or parents who played and taught them. The conversation ends with a playful interaction. I get as much information out of you as I can so yeah my question is how do you think it's been revived like what do you think in what ways? Well one thing is that kids who are into D&D when they were younger are now adults yeah and so they're now getting media that is representing them and their interests from when they were kids so you're seeing a lot of like old cartoons not being made into things and that includes the new Dungeons and Dragons movies and then we can't deny Stranger Things yeah Stranger Things really brought D&D into the mainstream. Do you think most of the people in this room have been here because of Stranger Things or is it a different reason like because of seeing it in comic books and from the 80s or what do you think? I think that a few saw how cool D&D can be from things like Stranger Things but a lot of the people here have friends who have played and they were taught by their parents and so they were then brought in and they've tried it out and never played. Sorry I'm trying to put my glasses on. Here's the other one. Um so. Give me five. Yeah.
