Probably one of the most successful blues artists due to his songwriting ability, music arrangement and being a record producer for Chess records and Columbia records. He was proficient in playing both the upright bass and the guitar, and sang with a distinctive voice. Next to Muddy Waters one of the greatest Blues artists of the 20th century.
