I was inspired to write this piece while practicing arpeggios for my keyboard skills class. It is called 'The Golden Ratio' because it predominantly features Perfect 4th and 5th intervals, which is how tonal music was originally discovered. People found that by playing two notes with a ratio of either 3:2 or 4:3, these nice-sounding or 'consonant' harmonies would be produced.
