The podcast "When Women Pivot" aims to provide a platform for women to share a chapter of their life stories. By hearing other women's stories, listeners can connect and realize they are not alone in their struggles. The podcast encourages women to embrace change and growth, as staying stuck inhibits personal development. The host emphasizes the importance of realizing that one's story is not finished and that there is beauty in brokenness. The podcast will feature different women and explore how God is working in their lives. The goal is to make a difference in at least one woman's life through the podcast. So, I want to welcome you to When Women Pivot. My name is Shelly Huckstetler, and I'm so excited to kind of give you just an introduction as to what this podcast is about. The purpose of it is to give women a place to tell a part of their story. So many times we feel like our stories define us, but I want you to remember your story is not done. If you are still breathing until the day you take your last breath, your story is not complete. There are chapters in your story, and each chapter can look very different. And so this podcast is for women that I will be interviewing, different women every single time, to tell a chapter of their story. Now why would we do a podcast like this? I have learned that I can appreciate women for their strengths, that I can connect through the stories and through the chapters of their lives. The reason we need to hear other women's stories is because it allows us to connect. We become isolated in our own, maybe the best word for it is control. We think if we can control a situation, we can fix it, we don't need to share it, we'll make it right. What happens is, in that isolation, we become defeated and discouraged and dig deeper down into the hole that we have created. The excuse of, I'm the only one who could possibly be living this, or the only one who knows how I feel, is not true. And what happens when other women tell their stories is it brings light to the situation that you are not alone, and when a woman realizes she's not alone, great things happen. I heard a saying a while ago, broken crayon can still color, can I just tell you? That went deep into me, because I am such a broken crayon, and for a long time I thought that my usefulness was done, and then I realized that the breaking part is what brings the beauty, and so it is through each other's stories that we realize it's not done. And so this is going to give women the opportunity to share their story. Each podcast we do will be a different woman, it will be different questions, and it will be a different way that she is seeing God work in her life, whether she is in the middle of her story, or has come out the other side to see Him redeem and restore her chapter at that point. So I want to encourage you, if you're interested in pivoting, or shifting, or maybe changing your perspective, I would love for you to listen to this, because I am learning so much through the women that we are speaking with. To pivot is to allow us to grow past where we think we are capable. God loves you, and He doesn't want you to stay stuck, and He doesn't want you to stay still. If I have learned anything, it is those two things. I can be still and stuck all at the same time, but I cannot grow if I'm stuck. So I want to encourage you, stick with us, we're going to have a lot of interesting individuals come on the show, and we would love to hear from you. You can email us at whenwomenpivot at gmail.com, or you can connect with us on social media at when.women.pivot on Instagram and Facebook. So we would love to hear from you. Just know that whether we ever meet here or not, we pray for you. And our mantra here is, if it's just one woman that this makes a difference in, then that's what matters.
