Henry and family move to West Texas where his father quits his executive job on a high-risk gamble to start his own exploration company, which fails, and his father starts a long career of alcoholism. A tumor is discovered on Henry's knee which send him to a San Antonio hospital. After surgery to remove the tumor, he must learn to walk again, and a series of mishaps teaches him he must learn to be a MAN. But how?
