Homewood-Flossmoor High School Esports Proposal

All right, so let's dive into this whole eSports thing, you know, this proposal to bring competitive gaming to Homewood-Flossmoor High School. Yeah. It's definitely got people talking, that's for sure. I'll say, and you know, I have to admit, I'm pretty curious myself, you know, to see where this goes. Yeah. You and me both. We've got this proposal right from two HF alumni, Khalid and Veronda Finley, and they're really making a strong case to the school board. Okay. Who exactly are the Finleys, and what are they envisioning for HF, like what's their plan? Well, the Finleys graduated back in 93, and they've got a son who's actually a sophomore at HF right now. He's 15. Oh, wow. Yeah. And he's really gotten into competitive gaming, and that seems to be like a big motivation for them, you know. They want to see eSports recognized as a legitimate activity right alongside traditional sports, like your baseball and basketball. Interesting. So they're not talking about replacing those traditional sports. Yeah. They're talking about adding another option to the mix. Exactly. Expanding opportunities for students.
