The speaker plans to record a short visualization exercise. They will pause if there are loud noises so that they can be edited out. They ask their friend to add relaxing music to the recording. The exercise involves sitting comfortably, closing your eyes, and focusing on deep breathing. The speaker prompts the listener to imagine themselves in a creative space and visualize engaging their students. They encourage the listener to let ideas flow freely and embrace curiosity. After a minute of calming music, the listener is told to slowly open their eyes and bring the feeling of creativity into their life and classroom. The speaker suggests re-recording if there are background noises. Hi Val, so I'm going to just try recording this one audio. What I'm going to do is if I hear loud things going by me, I'll pause so that you can cut those out. This visualization will be pretty short and what I'll ask you to do is add some relaxing music underneath it and we'll just give this as our tester. Alright, so I'm going to go to where I have my script. Okay, and let's give this a try. Begin by sitting in a comfortable position and closing your eyes. Start to take some deep breaths, inhaling in and exhaling slowly. Focus on the sensation of your breath as you breathe in, feeling the air fill your lungs and flow out of your body. Now bring your thoughts to the present moment and notice the environment around you. Things you hear, things you feel. Take a deep breath in and let go of any thoughts that may be distracting. Label them, push them to the side and let's focus on the task at hand and bring yourself back into the present. Now imagine yourself in a creative space. Visualize yourself surrounded by inspiring images, writings and ideas. See yourself exploring different ways to engage your students in the classroom. Notice your students' smiles as they... I'm going to do that sentence again. Notice your students' smiles and reactions as you bring new creative exploration to them. Notice how you feel as you explore these ideas, as you bring these experiences to your students. Let the ideas flow freely and let curiosity guide your exploration. Now let yourself sit in this moment and see what creative ideas come to mind. And then this is where you'll have maybe like a minute of just the calming music for the person to just kind of sit and breathe and do that. Continue to... start that over. Continue to breathe deeply in and out. And when you feel ready, start to move your fingers and your toes and slowly open your eyes. Today, bring that feeling of creativity and exploration back with you into your life and into your classroom. And then let the music linger for a couple moments and then fade out. Alright, let's give it a try. If you heard sounds in the background and you can't get rid of them, let me know. We can always re-record things. But let's use this one as a little tester.
