Online learning is when educational curriculum is accessed outside of a traditional classroom using the internet or technology. Students and faculty interact through email and discussion boards. Songwriters often use the three ups (hook up, break up, make up) to create lyrics, but writing a song with one person in mind can have a deeper impact. What if we viewed the success of others as our own? Empowerment can change lives. Public service employees have been on the front line during COVID-19, and this course explores ways to motivate them and help them reach their potential. Online learning uses the internet, a personal computer, or similar technology, to access educational curriculum outside of a traditional classroom. Students and faculty use email, discussion boards, and other web technologies to create community in their online classroom. Without that interaction, there is no online course. Most songwriters use the three ups to create their lyrics. Hook up, break up, and make up. But if you want to write a song that really impacts people, you should write a song with just one person in mind. That approach will undoubtedly make a deep impact on a lot of people. What would the world look like if we viewed the success of others as our own? What if you could equip someone to not just survive, but thrive? What if you could play a role in that process? And what if their life would never be the same because of it? This is empowerment. Public service employees have been on the front line of the COVID-19 pandemic. For many, this has actually heightened their sense of purpose and of giving back to their community. In this course, we'll discover other ways to motivate people for public service and how we can help them realize their full potential. ♪
