Jason announces he's the new co-host of Tri-State Time Machine with Vanessa Hankins. They aim to explore the past, present, and future of Ohio, West Virginia, and Kentucky. The show delves into untold stories, challenges, triumphs, and visions for Huntington and the Tri-State area. They merge Chairman's Club under Tri-State Time Machine to reach a wider audience. The goal is community engagement and sharing captivating stories. They have exciting plans, including going live at different locations and videoing episodes. Listeners are encouraged to provide feedback and suggestions for future content. Exciting times ahead for the podcast. Ladies and gentlemen, today I want to share with you some pretty exciting news that I'm now the co-host of Tri-State Time Machine. I will continue to do the Chairman's Club, but it will be located under Tri-State Time Machine. Let me introduce you to my co-host, Vanessa Hankins. Vanessa, how are you today? I'm good. How are you, Jason? Good. Good. Just a nice rainy day in Huntington. It really is a rainy day in Huntington, but again, I think we said on the other episode earlier in the week that we were recording, we needed this rain. We did. We're at that age where we can say we needed this. We're definitely getting home, and that's okay. We like our rain. It's fine. We like the rain. It's a good thing, because we needed to fill up the pool anyway, so saving us some on that water bill. I like it. I'm excited to have you on the Tri-State Time Machine. For your listeners that may not know about it, the Tri-State Time Machine is a show where we explore the past, present, and future of Ohio, West Virginia, and the Kentucky area. We go from untold stories of people who built it to the challenges and triumphs of shaping it today to the bold visions for what's next for Huntington and the Tri-State area. We dig deep into the layers of time that define this place, and you've been my guest several different times on the show, so anyone that has listened in will know that we both love Huntington dearly. We have a strong connection to the community, and we want what's best for it, so nothing's changing as far as the Chairman's Club and the biographies that you are known for. We're still going to keep those, but they're just going to be easier found under Tri-State Time Machine. The reason we decided that is because in the beginning, I was just so excited to get Jason involved that I was like, let's make you a podcast. Let's do it. We jumped right in, and we really didn't give it a whole lot of thought as to would we be competing for our listeners. I think this is going to be a really good fit, and I think it's going to come full circle of that love that we share for our community. Yeah. Honestly, this is a unique opportunity. By really just putting our heads together on this, we've already collaborated on so many projects together with the Keith Albee and with Christmas and with all the historical things with Westmoreland and so many things in the process. Now, we did this new revamp with the Chairman's Club, and we're able to get a whole new following. Now, we can merge these two together and just have a great following, but more importantly, we're going to be able to cover a lot of ground. We really are. I want the listeners to understand that this is not just for Huntington. We love Huntington with a passion, but this is truly for the Tri-State. But it's for the Tri-State, so we are focusing, and we're really going to heavily rely on our listeners to let us know what communities in the Tri-State do you want to hear about. We go on and on about Huntington because we love it, so what are some other communities that you guys want to hear about, the history of? I know that there is a lot of really good stories in Ashland. I know there's a lot of really good stories out of Barbersville. Yes, phenomenal history. And I'm excited to share those stories, so as much as our listeners are letting us know, or as long as they are letting us know that they are continuing to like what we do, we're going to be here, and we're going to keep talking about the Tri-State area. Absolutely. One thing that I always really kind of push down on with the Chairman's Club, as I said, to all the people that I had as guests, I said, listen, this is your podcast. Absolutely. I'm just hosting this, and I want the Tri-State to know that with us, this is your podcast. It is yours. And we're just trying to guide the way, make this happen, do whatever we can to make you comfortable when you're here, get your vision out, your work out, and then really get a good coverage of history for the area that, honestly, a lot of our youth just have no idea about. But there's so many of us at our age that we do remember. Right. And then people even older than us that lived it. That's what I was going to say, and then we've got the people that lived it. And as many times as we can share those stories, I fully intend to get it done every time. I have loved a lot of your episodes, but here recently, we did an episode featuring Dan Ferguson. And when I tell you listeners that I was on the edge of my sheet, Jesus Christ, can't talk today. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. Let me back up on that, go back and delete that and start here. We recently had on Dan Ferguson. And when I tell you that I was on the edge of my seat the entire interview, I was on the edge of my seat. Like, he is a phenomenal storyteller. Yeah, he, to be quite honest, he's a very good personal friend of mine. He and his entire family are such great, great people. They really are good people. And Dan has led the way in so many aspects of this city, whether it be law enforcement or whether it be as a magistrate judge or whether it was him serving in the military and things like that. And to be quite honest, one of the most unique things is he's just another young boy that grew up right here in Huntington, West Virginia, and he has such a rich history with all these different famous people that have been with him. And I could tell when he was talking to us, speaking about his mom making home cooking for Muhammad Ali in the kitchen. Right. I mean, like, how cool is that? Right. Yeah. I mean, I mean, yeah, it's very unique. And the way that he just captivated my full attention is it's rare for people to get my attention that way. And he had 100 percent of it. I almost forgot that I was sitting here working the controls and doing doing that and almost dropped the ball on what I was doing because I was so wrapped up in what he was having to say. But, yeah, you've had a lot of great guests on. You've had John Nicklaus, which is a local fireman. That episode was wonderful. It's still climbing. I don't know if you've checked it, but yeah, it's still climbing all the time. We had Mayor Patrick Farrell on your show. Who else do we have? So we had the sheriff. We did. Yes. Yes. Yes. Sheriff Adams was on. And that has been one of our top ones of all time. He is a very well-liked gentleman in our community. People in that one, like we were talking about with Dan's and with John Nicklaus's and even with Mayor Patrick Farrell's, those listens are still climbing. And this is probably one of the main reasons why we decided this was a good move to merge the two podcasts, because we have such a big following already on Tri-State Time Machine that we wanted to get this part of the biography area that we've been working hard on for you, for the Chairman's Club. We want to get it to those listeners that listen to Tri-State Time Machine because we know they're going to love it just as much as we had. So this was the easiest way to get those podcast episodes to their fingertips. Yes. So I'm excited about it. I'm excited to have you as we've decided we're both co-hosts. There's no host here. So I'm excited to have you, and I think good things are coming. I definitely agree. I think that the only direction from here is up. You know, Chairman's Club took off, skyrocketed. You already have a wonderful thing going on. We've tried... One thing I will say to the listeners, both of our podcasts have done such a good job of telling so many people stories, but the story of our city and around the areas, and we're going to continue that. I just love the way that we're able to engage with so many people, and now we'll be able to continue that at such a strong level, and I think that, again, the only direction is up from here. I think this is going to grow probably faster than we even know what to do with at times. We've already recorded a few episodes that we haven't even got out to the public yet. Yes, we haven't even released yet, and they're really good. They're really good episodes, and we've got some crazy plans. I mean, we've got some phenomenal people lined up, and I know I always say it, and I know the listeners at home are probably like, God, this woman stays excited, but I really am excited for where this podcast is going, and like you said, I mean, the only way for it to go is up, because we have such a phenomenal fan base, and we also have a contest going right now, which is really cool, that we're trying to get more engagement with our listeners. We're trying to meet them where they're at and trying to find them on the socials that they're using, so go check that out if you haven't already, so that's a really cool thing we've got going on. You can win a $20 gift card, which $20 is $20 of gas in the tank, I think. Listen, if you like, share, follow, and get $20, go for it. Yes, all day, every day. All day, every day. All right, Jason, well, I thank you for having me on today. Yes, I'm glad to have you. I'm glad for the opportunity. We're going to have a great, great time with this. To the listeners, seriously, go over to Tribestate Time Machine. Join us. Do it. Listen, the biggest thing I want everybody to understand is, I need you to reach out to us. Let us know the content that you love. Let us know the things that maybe we haven't got to yet. Let us know the things that you really did like the most, and we'll continue that. We're still going to do the things with the Chairman's Club. Tribestate's still going to do its thing, but we have some amazing things in line for the future of this. We're going to go live at places we've talked about. We're going to start ... Yes, we're excited about that. ... videoing some of our episodes. For instance, the Keith Albee, when we did that episode, we went live there. We did our thing. We took great pictures, and we had a great time. We're going to continue that. We're still going to do the things with the Chairman's Club. Absolutely. Absolutely. All right, guys. Well, we appreciate you, and we will see you next time. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye.
