I recently had the chance to interview Ronnie Le Drew, the gentleman behind the much-loved Zippy from the kids' TV series 'Rainbow'. During a 60+ year puppetry career, Ronnie has been behind the beloved characters of many generations of children, from Zippy to Sweep (during the years when Matthew Corbett took over the reins of Sooty & Sweep). He also worked with the Jim Henson Company on 'Labyrinth', and was one of the team of puppeteers behind Audrey II in 'Little Shop of Horrors' (Frank Oz).
