The main idea of this information is that sometimes our efforts to help others can be counterproductive and create dependency. Instead of saving people and giving aid, we should stand alongside them and help them dream their own vision for their lives. This approach allows them to take ownership of their journey and up-level themselves. It also frees us from the burden of saving others and allows us to fulfill our own purpose in life.

Many of us devote much of our lives to doing things to support those who have little, and we strongly believe that we need to do this because who else can help? But what if this helping and doing is counterproductive? What if by stepping in and giving and doing we are creating a bigger problem than doing nothing at all? And what if this giving of aid actually creates even more poverty? I know it seems counterproductive, and I know it sounds cruel, but what if there was a way to give wholly with your heart to really begin to support people in finding abundance in the life that they love? A really interesting statistic is that more people in Africa have died as a direct result of receiving aid than have died from the Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome, AIDS.
How can that be? When we give, too often we do it from the position of seeing those we give to as being less than disadvantaged, broken, and in need of fixing, or unable to do things for themselves. And the more we do and give and see that they are not able to do it for themselves, the more we embed into them that they are powerless and unable to do things for themselves, and their only vote in life is to receive whatever life gives.
There's a very interesting observation and concept, and that is the position of people finding themselves at the positive end of lottery wins, winning a million, tens of millions, even more than that, and with all that wealth and life-changing opportunity, significantly all of the big lottery winners will be back to the same level of abundance or dysfunction within two years. So even having had all this money and opportunity, within as little as two years that money will all have been spent, whatever they have accumulated through it will have been lost, and they return once more to that level, that pre-win level, of abundance, dysfunction, poverty, or whatever you like to call it.
How can this be? How can it be that some people, among other people, who've all they've ever wished for is abundance and been able to have, create a situation for themselves where within 48 months they return to being at the level of have-nots? The Gospel of Saint Matthew offers us an insight. What is quoted there is this, that to him who has it all, even more shall be given, and to him who has little, even the little he has will be taken away.
Such cruelty you might say. And indeed, it doesn't seem fair, but there is a structure to this, and structure has integrity. So there is something within those who have little that differs from those who have it all. And no, it's not greed, and it's not the rich thieving from the poor. It's something more structurally fundamental, and it has to do with level. You see, each of us within us has like a mercury measure on a thermometer, or where the float would be on a water line.
And that is where we subconsciously see our level. And it doesn't matter how much more we're given, how much support and aid we're given, what opportunities come our way, or anything, anything, we will revert to or stay stuck at that level. There are cases of very wealthy people who lose everything, and yet within a few short years, they have recreated that world again, because they've taken themselves back to their level. And for those like the lottery winners who had a level far lower than the winnings they received from the lottery, they have subconsciously created the environment and incidences that have taken them back down to their level once more.
So how do we truly help people? Absolutely, we can give care and aid in an emergency to get people over the hurdle. However, creating a dependency on us does nothing more than remove the value those we help have for themselves. And actually, we embed more and more a decreasing level within them. So if we truly want to help people, help them get beyond their level, then we require a different approach. The alchemists of old knew this.
They knew about level. They knew about how the head or the egoic part of us likes sameness, familiarity, and likes to hold us small. So what did they do? They realized that nothing needed fixing, simply that we needed to step onto another path, the path from the heart. Because when we come from our heart and create a clear vision of what it is that we truly desire, we can allow that vision to create tension, creative tension, to help draw it into us.
So here's the question. What is it that we would love for others? What is it that we would love for ourselves? Because if it is to level up, to raise the bar on the internal subconscious level, raise the bar on the internal subconscious level, then it doesn't come by saving people, helping people, and making people dependent on us at all. It actually comes through standing alongside them and getting them to dream their heart's dream, and hold and create that tension, the distance between the vision they hold which feels true for them and where they are at the moment, and for them to be inspired intuitively as to what the individual steps of action are to allow it to move forward and towards them.
And you know what? The positive side effect of this is it sets us free from saving people, and it allows us to come back to our all, the all that we are destined to be in our purpose for this life. And we get to stand alongside those who are ready to up-level and just be with them to allow them to take the steps and find the outcomes that are true for their hearts. And we truly all know freedom that way.
Now that all is closer, notice what intuitive insight have you noticed?
